You have mastered the art of Bulljive. You must use this power only for good, or entertainment.

@  Sabrblade : (01 April 2020 - 08:58 PM)

This morning, for one of my online classes, I had to give a positive oral presentation about a play that I hated having to watch. I went into it completely unprepared and just winged it. My professor LOVED my presentation and thought it was excellent. She believed every word I said and honestly thought that I enjoyed that miserable play. Best April Fools ever!

No, he was definitely Metroplex. You could tell because he was in Metroplex's distinctive red and green coloration.

@  Paladin : (27 March 2020 - 02:11 PM)

that was Leader-1. or possibly Jolt. maybe Grindor...

@  PlutoniumBoss : (27 March 2020 - 01:57 PM)

Metroplex was in Armada, in a flashback. He was the same size as everybody else. I thought that was the joke.

@Rodimus Supreme: Gah! You are right! How'd I get that mixed up? x.x;

@  TheMightyMol... : (27 March 2020 - 12:14 PM)

There is no Metroplex. Only Zuul.

@  Rodimus Supreme : (27 March 2020 - 11:13 AM)

@Tm_Silverclaw: There is no Armada Metroplex, he was in Cybertron.

@  Rodimus Supreme : (27 March 2020 - 11:12 AM)

And they'd be better off just retooling Metroplex and Fortress Maximus to be somewhat more accurate and changing/adding parts for interaction with later play gimmicks.

@  Rodimus Supreme : (27 March 2020 - 11:11 AM)

I honestly would prefer that for scale purposes.

@  Cyoti : (27 March 2020 - 11:07 AM)

They can redo all the CW combiners as Titan Class figures like Predaking/Devastator.

@  Dekafox : (27 March 2020 - 07:52 AM)

They could just redo Metroplex again too. Especially if it's going to be S3 based. They could also do another Primus to go with the coming Unicron.

@  OverDrive73 : (26 March 2020 - 10:56 PM)

If anyone is bored, or interested... I just added the last chapter to my fanfic comic in Allspark Pictures

@  Tm_Silverclaw : (26 March 2020 - 10:54 PM)

And no.. We could always get Titan Class Superion.

@  Tm_Silverclaw : (26 March 2020 - 10:53 PM)

We need Titan Class Transformers Armada Metroplex.

@  Telly : (26 March 2020 - 08:39 PM)

ill be surprised if scorpy isnt the last titan

@  PlutoniumBoss : (26 March 2020 - 05:57 PM)

Too bad a new character titan class figure is pretty much an impossibility.

@  PlutoniumBoss : (26 March 2020 - 05:56 PM)

I want a titan class, really good looking bucket wheel excavator. Like Cybertron Metroplex was supposed to be but didn't quite pull off.

@  TheMightyMol... : (23 March 2020 - 07:35 PM)

I can't recall who, but I know that someone here once built a MAME arcade cabinet, and since I am planning on building one myself, I thought that I would start a thread about it and see if anyone had any advice our just interest in seeing how this project will progress.

Now there are a couple of routes that I can take with this at this point. I can build a two player cabinet, using some Xarcade parts, an old tv, a PC, and a constructed frame. It would turn out looking something like this:

http://www.ebay.com/...984.m1426.l2649

Granted, there won't be a volleyball girl in a bikini, but that isn't too bad of an option, as its the cheaper of the two options I am considering.

The second option is to create something more along the lines of this:

http://www.ebay.com/...984.m1423.l2649

Granted, I wouldn't do that extent of graphics on the cabinet, and I wouldn't bother using LED lit buttons, but having four player option for games like X-men, Simpsons, and TMNT would be pretty nice. Also, having a new LED screen for more modern gaming would be awesome as well. This would require more money for the LED display, having to custom build the controls, and more wood for a larger cabinet.

I have to admit, that I am leaning towards the four player route, but I was wondering what are your guys/gals opinions?

It's something that I've gone over and over. It's something I want to get to, but require more space to keep it, so I'm more or less waiting till I move out. Consequently though, I keep perusing my options.

Instructables has a wonderful selection for nothing else than inspiration.

I've been wanting to do this for a while now, but just never have the time or money.  I've been eyeballing the cabinets over at RecRoomMasters.com and the X-Arcade Tankstick, and have tossed around running MAME along side something like Hyperspin to get emulated games in there as well, all under one nice slick interface.  Maybe someday.

Hmmn, some good places to check out! That chain of inquiry eventually lead me to find this:

http://webpages.char...ans.html#design

Aside from the size and type of the TV, that is pretty much what I want to build. I might upgrade to the LED buttons, but that would be just for showing off.

I had started building a MAME cabinet many moons ago, but as I was acquiring materials for it, I decided to just buy a couple SNK cabinets instead since I realized most of the games I would want to play on there were SNK ones.

Eventually I will get around to putting one together, but I have to settle down first when it comes to moving. Those machines are very very delicate.

I'll eventually get a CPS or Jamma based cabinet next.

Well, for what it costs to get a SNK cabinet, I figure that I can build one, maybe two, MAME cabinets. Even beat up old Arcades are going for $600 - $1500 on eBay these days.

As for moving, I hope to never have to move from my house. All goes to plan, I should have it paid off before I am 57.

I bought my SNK cabinets for 250 and 150. The 150 needs physical work, but the 250 one is in perfect physical condition.

There is a quarterly arcade auction up in Dallas.

Not all of us are so lucky. I've seen arcade machines start at almost 1k at auction out here. Hell, I saw one go on kijiji montreal for half that; completely broken and fit for kindling. The guy wanted to get paid to throw it out.

Closest I'd ever come to owning my own arcade machine is if the local bowling alley would sell me their old MVS for a steal.

And even then I'd have to find cartridges for the thing because I don't like the games it has very much.

The main issue is shipping. It's super expensive and most places won't insure them because they're so delicate.

Luckily in Dallas, we just take a truck.

Well, I bought my first compnent.

http://www.ebay.com/...984.m1497.l2649

I picked up a neat looking LED trackball and I also got the mounting plate in a separete auction from the same seller.

My idea is to build the control panel first and test it out on my existing hardware, then I will build the cabinet and purchase a new PC and LED screen for it.It's a little backwards from most arcade builds, but it should be neat.

So long as you don't abandon the project half way through and have arcade control panel hard ware laying around for years: then it doesn't really matter how you acquire and build components.

Well, right now, I am debating between an I-PAC 4 or KE72-T to wire all the buttons and joysticks to. I am thinking that the I-PAC 4 will be good enough for me and what I need it for, and cost me only half the amount of the KE72-T.

If this works out for you, you should consider building something like this too:

http://games.gearliv...a-box-08092141/

Basically a full MAME machine in a portable cabinet. You just take it where ever you want and plug it into any tv. A friend of mine did this and it was pretty neat.
