The best way to prove this is to give an example where the match is really lopsided in favor of one character but in popularity they're either evenly matched or the weaker one is more popular.

The "who would win in a fight" discussions are really just people trying to make "which one's better" into something you can theoretically measure objectively, usually in a very specific way they think they've predetermined their favorite will win.

I have a feeling Metal Sonic's story will play into the Climax of the arc, his mini was just pointless otherwise unless I missed something.

 

Also, I kind of want them to break the Annual up and slot the stories in the chronological of the series for the inevitable Hardcover Collection(s).

Also, what does having a Starline figure in Eggman's collection mean? Eggman wants to control him?

Essentially that Eggman sees him as just someone else to control and Starline has no hope of becoming his equal. I mean it was not only one of him but essentially a Metal version of him. So Eggman sees he could build a bot of his own design to replace the inferior flesh version. At least that's one way to see it.

 

Also was it just me or did Eggman's Tails model look a lot like Tails Man from the Mega Man crossover.

Well, I think it has a bit to do with Metal Overlord Metal Sonic from Sonic Heroes thinking HE was the real Sonic, and our Sonic is his copy.

Well this story is finally over, and they didn't pull the cheap "send Silver back in time to stop it before it started" like I was dreading. But i knew they wouldn't, I checked the upcoming solicits. :p

I like your reasoning. Really hard to tell if it's the right one though.

On Starline, all the other figures are robotic looking anyway. I'd get it if Eggman had figures of everybody so he can feel in control but showing a figure of himself (getting the head knocked off too) kinda messed it a bit.

Read the ending too. So... sounds like that arc in Archie comics before too.
