I don't know WHY but I was struck this morning with an urge to ferret out the fan made episodes. So I started to do some research, having mostly ignored them when they were actually produced.

 

So I know about Double rainboom, Adventures of button mash, snowdrop... any others we could add to the list?

Don't know if it counts as an episode, but Epic Rage Time should be viewed, if only for Grey Delisle as Derpy.

 

And there's lots of Doctor Who crossover series out there if that catches your interest.

How about Friendship is Witchcraft? It's chopped up episodes BUT they have new songs. They even used Snowdrop.

I... had forgotten entirely about witchcraft... I was waiting for the new eps, but forgot entirely after that short where twilight plays with the moon and gets bored.

Just want to say thanks for finally compelling me to see Double Rainboom. That was brilliant. Sort of what fans see in this show vs. nonfans, to think of it....
Shouldn't gravity be doing something?
 
Of course there's a figure of Rodimus as some kind of animal girl. Why would I be surprised by this?

I'm actually finding and downloading as many of these as I can, so I can put them on my tablet. I got witchcraft, but buttons adventure and double rainboom as being a pain in the ass to find.

I am slightly shamed to admit it, but I just ripped the list clean off YouTube. Button Mash's adventure is ridiculously funny.

I've never heard of Epic Rage Time but it was extremely well animated and voiced for a 3min thing.

But I'd say fan shorts should be a minimum of 7minutes ala the usual 3 shorts in a 22minute slot.

Anymore that are around that long? I've seen one Fluffle Puff and it's just a repetitive singing thing, right?

No, it's mostly because of Chrysalis... I would pretty much act the same way as Fluffle Puff does around her... Almost jealous...

 

I've seen one Fluffle Puff and it's just a repetitive singing thing, right?

One of them is. Most of the videos are relies to her tumblr page... Her comics are pretty funny as well... It is nice to see how ponies allowed this person to express your creative side...

Epic Rage Time is my personal favourite, and Fluffle Puff is a close second.

 

Friendship is Witchcraft can be really funny, but sometimes it gets mean-spirited to the point where I can't enjoy it.

 

Double Rainboom is kinda neat but has terrible pacing and annoying references. Snowdrop is cheap melodramatic tripe.

 

Button Mash's Adventures are technically good, but seem to be made by the same kind of people that make me dislike the fandom in general. ("Button Mash's Mom is hot" is a thing apparently.)
