Looks like a Voyager to me. I'm not a fan. No real or fake chest windows, too much grey on his chest and a lot of vehicle kibble hanging off his back. Vehicle mode is barely different to his previous vehicle modes just the front is shorter as we already know. Whereas they seem to have made the robot mode different for the sake of being different but keeping the same general aesthetic. No surprises here.

People on tfw2005 are suggesting its a Deluxe but I think a Deluxe would look even simpler than this.

I like the general idea of it, with the sword and gunshield combo and the proportions, but the figure itself isn't too good looking. but with the exception of 2010 (was that it? the tiny RotF Leader) Optimus, I don't really judge the quality of a movie Optimus design on the smaller-than-Leader class figures. Hopefully, we actually get figures in that size this time.


Looking at more pics,some things: the vac-metal is a nice touch. The chest area seems to have ditched all the classic Optimus touches for the worse, it just looks really generic now. The lack of windows on the chest was a bad call. The legs, though, look nicer than the old design in some ways, it's less busy. the feet being wedge shaped is a lot better looking than the "toes" of the ROTF design. Reminds me of Sentinel Prime in that regard. The battle "skirt" is a nice little touch. I also like the curved shoulder pipes. Finally, the antennae and circles seem a but higher set than before, giving him more of a Batman look.

I'm avoiding movie spoilers entirely, so I'm actually surprised they didn't go with a significantly different design for Prime. It just seems like more of the same. Isn't the market over-saturated with this design?

Aside from it's rear wheels just hanging off of the back of him (hopefully they can be pushed down), it looks like a fine figure so far.

Looks nice. Different yet similar. I won't be buying that toy, but if we get a Buster level figure of the design I'd consider it.

I always feel weird about look at movie toys when I haven't seen the design it's based on.(Except for toy-only characters obviously.)

That's a Leader figure? Bloody hell, they weren't kidding about simplifying things...
