@  Maximus Ambus : (29 September 2020 - 01:35 AM)

Ever notice Kath SOucie's Janine in the later episodes of Real Ghostbusters sounds like Tara Strong's Sari Sumdac?

@  Maximus Ambus : (28 September 2020 - 02:10 PM)

I wish they were more universal like Beast Wars, Animated or Prime and as professionally done,

@  Maximus Ambus : (28 September 2020 - 02:06 PM)

The Netflix shows are done for adults, the Generation toyline is for adults who grew up with G1.

@  Sabrblade : (28 September 2020 - 12:53 PM)

Who said it ever was?

@  -LittleAutob... : (28 September 2020 - 12:43 PM)

Whatever happened to WFC Earthrise being a kids show X'D

@  wonko the sane? : (28 September 2020 - 11:43 AM)

Cool, my last tablet couldn't run it, and I stopped caring by the time I got the new one. So thanks!

@  Otaku : (28 September 2020 - 11:27 AM)

There are crossover characters, but the amount and distribution... Marvel Vs Capcom this ain't.  If @wonko the sane? my bad!

@  Otaku : (28 September 2020 - 11:21 AM)

I've been playing for *checks account* 1002 days, 23 hours.  So, by 2021, it will have been three years.  I think it takes place in its own continuity, largely inspired by G1 but borrowing from other places.

@  Otaku : (28 September 2020 - 11:19 AM)

@wonko the sane? Can only speak for Earth Wars, but so few they're easy to forget.

@  wonko the sane? : (28 September 2020 - 07:39 AM)

Didn't they already do the across universes thing in that tablet game?

@  Demovere Xeno : (28 September 2020 - 05:30 AM)

Also, make the setting an amalgamation of different Transformers series, rather than based on a specific one. Bring in things like 'Sentinel Major' as the primo Autobot jerk, and sleek car mode Vehicons as the Decepticons' basic grunt.

@  Demovere Xeno : (28 September 2020 - 05:27 AM)

KT just needs to incorporate the vehicle modes into the combat system, like Platinum did for Devastation, so they're for more than just wheeling it across the battlefield. =P

@  Demovere Xeno : (28 September 2020 - 05:25 AM)

Transformers: Warriors of Cybertron! =D

@  Tm_Silverclaw : (28 September 2020 - 05:15 AM)

I want a Power Rangers Mosu. I would also take a Transformers Mosu. :D

@  TheMightyMol... : (28 September 2020 - 04:50 AM)

It even ended on a sequel hook.

@  Demovere Xeno : (28 September 2020 - 04:40 AM)

Man, I just want another Devastation game... =(

@  NotVeryKnightly : (28 September 2020 - 01:53 AM)

Aren't TFs way more varied than Joes, as far as they'd work in gameplay? Like, Omega Supreme is vastly different from Bumblebee.

@  unluckiness : (27 September 2020 - 10:16 PM)

Hell, ripoff Super Robot Wars withTFs

@  unluckiness : (27 September 2020 - 10:16 PM)

IDK they could make something like FF tactics or Fire Emblem ripoff with Robots and i'd buy it

@  Steevy Maximus : (27 September 2020 - 09:43 PM)

See, I feel GI Joe (with it's varied cast) is a better fit for a strategy game, where as Transformers feels more suited for a shooter.

@  Maruten : (27 September 2020 - 08:28 PM)

I might give them points for making a strategy game if it's actually a good strategy game.

@  wonko the sane? : (27 September 2020 - 07:48 PM)

I mean, points for making a strategy game instead of third person shooter, but: urrrrgggg. Cyberverse.

@  wonko the sane? : (27 September 2020 - 07:47 PM)

A transformers game for the switch? *checks* Urrrggg... cyberverse...

@  Steevy Maximus : (27 September 2020 - 06:28 PM)

October will be a big month for Hasbro fans: Zoids, GI Joe AND Transformers all have brand new console games. All on the Switch at that!

@  wonko the sane? : (27 September 2020 - 09:04 AM)

At least in animated he was more driven than just "loyal bootlick".

@  unluckiness : (27 September 2020 - 08:29 AM)

Oof, That's a huge downgrade

@  Maximus Ambus : (27 September 2020 - 02:35 AM)

After rewatching Animated Sound and Fury, in my head canon Titans Return Soundwave is that Soundwave.

@  wonko the sane? : (26 September 2020 - 04:09 PM)

On an unrelated note: I just got the BBTS email about kingdom pre-orders... and even the stuff I don't want I'm perfectly willing to get if it means I can have the rest of it.

@  wonko the sane? : (26 September 2020 - 04:08 PM)

It's digimon. So first one, then the other.

@  TheMightyMol... : (26 September 2020 - 12:53 PM)

50/50 odds, it's either a helicopter with limbs, or a scantily-clad human with heli blades on their back. If female, 90% odds on the second one.

@  NotVeryKnightly : (26 September 2020 - 12:39 PM)

I read that as "Helicoptermon" and wondered what kind of Digimon that was.

@  Bass X0 : (26 September 2020 - 12:35 PM)

Helicopter-mom, transform!

@  Maximus Ambus : (25 September 2020 - 11:58 PM)

Aw I scratched the hood of my 35th anniversary Bluestreak. Fortunately he's in robot mode a lot.

@  Sabrblade : (25 September 2020 - 07:24 PM)

No decoration could improve the wall more than Knockout himself

@  TheMightyMol... : (25 September 2020 - 05:04 PM)

@  TheMightyMol... : (24 September 2020 - 01:00 PM)

@Bass X0 Shockwave did it.

At least it's not Suntwerker.

@  wonko the sane? : (23 September 2020 - 11:19 AM)

I was really interested in Infinity until I saw it at the stores. There is an alarming lack of character variety and the prices they're charging are highway robbery. Fourteen dollars for a single character? Oh HELL no.

Worth noting for those buying, the shortpacked Disney Infinity Power Discs Capsules can be easily found by scratching on the packaging. You can feel/hear the lenticular texture from outside. I'm sure Disney will fix this shortly by adding a plastic cover or by packaging them with the images facing inward.
Yep.

I bought every single character and playset on day one, hopefully I won't be as gung ho when wave 2 hits.

It's a lot of fun, I've only made it through the Monsters University set so far, which I didn't expect to be as fun as it was. Obviously the meat of this game is in the Toy Box where you can just throw everything together.

My game has crashed on me about 4 times now though, and that's a bit worrysome.

Ya the PS3 version had some bugs at launch I hear. And I think the Wii U one had some sort of problem as well. I think the 360 version had the best experience at launch.

I kinda want to get into this but I don't need another Skylanders at this point. But I'm almost willing to sell my Skylanders collection to grab this since these are characters I know more about. My only problem is the lack of variety at start and only characters from their own franchises being able to complete their own story mode I hear. But out of the confirmed characters coming I am tempted to pick up all the Incredibles, Pirates, Phineas and Ferb, Wreck-it Ralph and the Toy Story sets. But even though theirs some of those characters in there I'm not completely sold on it. I'd like it to go a bit more outside of the box with it yet. They could get away with maybe making Marvel sets based on the Disney XD cartoons. And of course I'd be all for a slew of Disney Afternoon figures. And besides no Mickey and the other classic Disney characters are in it yet.

The preview videos give me some hope with the Condorman wings you can get. That was so outside the box of well known Disney that it makes me hope they will expand this greatly.

I also can't support going for both Skylanders and Infinity. But even though I know and like Disney properties, I'm sticking with Skylanders. The fact that different properties can apparently only interact in Toybox mode is a turn off, but the bigger issue is that I just don't really want most of them. The Incredibles are really the only characters I've seen that I'd really want. While I saw them all at TRU the other day on a BOGO50% sale, I just can't justify spending that much money for just a few characters and limited gameplay.

Plus at this point I'm highly invested in Skylanders, both in terms of money buying figures and emotionally into the experience. TFB has created something that's a lot of fun and that has me looking forward to more. Infinity only really has me mildly curious.

It's true that you can't complete story modes with characters from outside that particular franchise, but you can go into a toy box version of that world with any character you want, which is just as good. It makes sense really, can't have Jack Sparrow shooting college students on their campus, that'd be in bad taste.

I played a couple of hours last night, mostly MU but a little PotC, and it is a HUGE amount of fun. Character diversity looks like it will ramp up a lot after wave 1, and right out of the box there's stuff available in the Toybox based on Tron, Robin Hood, Aladdin, the Muppets, Phineas and Ferb, Ducktales, WALL-E, Pinocchio, Tarzan, the Lion King, the Nightmare Before Christmas, the Sword in the Stone and probably heaps more, and that's before you even get to the figures and power discs. I don't think diversity will be a problem, assuming the game does well enough to keep itself running for more than two or three waves. And the user-generated content, once it gets going, will be INCREDIBLE.

My dreams last night were filled with building, and a whole day of work will be torture. Rarely these days am I itching like this to get back to a game.

Edit: also apparently there's a Lightsaber in there, so I guess they kicked off the Star Wars stuff already.

I just watched the gametrailers review out of curiosity. I'm staying far away from this game; it seems almost lethally addicting if you pick it up and are a Disney fan.

I think there are plans for crystal versions, like the Lightning McQueen that's out now.

If I didn't have this game at all, I'd totally just buy the Barbossa and Davy Jones figures. They're probably the strongest out of the entire first wave based solely on their figures.

While exploring the Hall of Heroes, you're given a tease of not only what figures are to come, nothing we don't already know about figure-wise, as there's only spots for wave 1 and 2 heroes, but there's also slots for the different power discs that are coming up. Nightmare Before Christmas, Frozen, Tron, and Phineas and Ferb themes, a whole bunch of new powers like Dr. Doofinschmirtz's damage-inator, Scrooge's Lucky Dime, and Wreck-It Ralph's destructive force, and a bunch of neat toys like the Condorman wings mentioned earlier, the flamingo croquet mallet, and, wait for it, the Electric Mayhem Bus (which I will not rest until I have it once the wave is released, so I sure hope it's not a chase disc.) There's also a bunch of horses like Maximus from Tangled, the Headless Horseman's Horse, Merida's horse, Phillipe (Belle's horse)...so plenty for you equestrian fans.

One future disc that has me troubled is called (something along the lines of) Hanging Ten with Stitch, and it's a rideable surfboard with Stitch on it...meaning it's possible he won't get his own figure...which would make me sad. His blaster is a disc already...a Lilo and Stitch playset would be awesome!

So...this is a hit. My kids have been on this for the last 2 1/2 hours just screwing around in toybox mode. My wife was making just the cutest noises at a bunch of the elements. So we zipped back out to take advantage of the "BOGO 1$" deal that ends tonight. We got lucky and nabbed some of the rare discs without checking for them. Cinderella's coach and Buzz Lightyear's astro blaster vehicle are ours.

In all, we managed 16 of the 20 (well, 21 if you include Mike's car) and only five duplicates (2x Nemo sky themes, both Sugar rush themes, and a Bolt powerup). The extras are going to go up on eBay (unless any of you guys need any of these and want to trade or something).

It doesn't hurt to have doubles of the round discs, as then you can have doubly effective power-ups!

Me and my friend were also fiddling around in the toy box last night, we made some ridiculous and perilous racetracks.

I picked this up last week, along with several of the additional figures and a few power packs. I also figured out that scratch test in terms of getting the rare ones. I have 2 of the 4 so far, I'll probably try and round that out this week.

As far as the game goes, I've mostly just played in the toy box and done a bunch of the mastery levels with Mr. Incredible or Sully.

I'm one of those over the top Disney freaks who is trying to avoid this like a drug habit...but I know I'm going to be immersed shortly.

Also, does anyone know of a trading forum for those power discs? So far, I bought 5 packages with no duplicates (crazy, right?)...but I'm sure I'm due to double up soon.

Ok...so I was least interested in playing Pirates of the Caribbean, but I hadn't used Jack Sparrow yet. In an instant, there go my first 2 hours of play set time. I'm going to have to set some serious daily time allowances for this game. As people have said before. If you already are a big Disney fan...be careful. Don't say you weren't warned.
