@  Echowarrior : (26 May 2017 - 09:16 PM)

Thor was a great guy. Same as most of the Asgard. Loki was a jerk, though.

@  wonko the sane? : (26 May 2017 - 07:21 PM)

I think thor was just too smart to NOT call us stupid next to him.

@  Pennpenn : (26 May 2017 - 07:18 PM)

Six of one, half a dozen of the other?

@  wonko the sane? : (26 May 2017 - 07:17 PM)

I always interpreted that scene to mean that asgardians weren't capable of breaking down problems in the same way as humans.

@  Pennpenn : (26 May 2017 - 06:58 AM)

I mean, SG1 was a good show on balance. One of my favourite things was Thor admitting he found humans good to keep around because they so often came up with stupid ideas that nevertheless worked out.

@  Whirl Maximus : (26 May 2017 - 05:59 AM)

Those episodes were 1969 and 2010.

@  Whirl Maximus : (26 May 2017 - 05:59 AM)

Stargate sg1 was loosely based on the movie, it thrived on continuity it was impressive how old situations and solutions would come back in unexpected ways. Continuum had it's villain use the characters own solution in two previous episodes against them.

@  Pennpenn : (26 May 2017 - 05:39 AM)

And yeah, name is based on a part of my surname. Can't remember why I picked it. Lost to memories of the primordial early 2000s.

@  Pennpenn : (26 May 2017 - 05:37 AM)

Like how Abydos in the movie is in another galaxy on the far side of the universe, but Abydos in SG1 is the closest world to Earth (and that was the only reason the gate could still get there) and even getting to other galaxies was impossible with the normal gates.

@  Pennpenn : (26 May 2017 - 05:35 AM)

I was very tired when I said that, but what I meant was a lot of stuff that is in the original Stargate movie is contradicted a lot in Stargate SG1.

@  unluckiness : (26 May 2017 - 05:29 AM)

OBJECTION

@  Tm_Silverclaw : (26 May 2017 - 12:48 AM)

I remember a fanfic that had Swindle as Lawyer.

@  SHIELD Agent 47 : (25 May 2017 - 10:08 PM)

No, I am referring to before Beast Wars: Uprising. I swear Swindle was a lawyer in a story before "A Brush With Infamy".

@  Telly : (25 May 2017 - 09:47 PM)

i cant get the link to work for the life of me. just go to the wiki and type "a brush with infamy" in the search box and itll come up

@  Telly : (25 May 2017 - 09:40 PM)

grr. check the post above this one. stupid non working link and i cant delete shouts...

@  SHIELD Agent 47 : (25 May 2017 - 09:25 PM)

I swear I've read the story but now I forget which one it is.

@  SHIELD Agent 47 : (25 May 2017 - 09:25 PM)

When has G1 Swindle been a lawyer before?

@  Rycochet : (25 May 2017 - 07:20 PM)

All I know about PennPenn is he's so good they named him twice.

@  Tm_Silverclaw : (25 May 2017 - 07:02 PM)

Nope.. Pennpenn is actually a Prinny dood!

@  Foffy : (25 May 2017 - 06:47 PM)

I wonder if Pennpenn is related to Sean Penn.

@  Kalidor : (25 May 2017 - 04:31 PM)

PennPenn - What are you talking about?

@  wonko the sane? : (25 May 2017 - 02:13 PM)

It's the only way for wisconsin to build it's population.

@  Bass X0 : (25 May 2017 - 02:04 PM)

Wisconsin law: Whenever two trains meet at an intersection of said tracks, neither shall proceed until the other has.

@  Nevermore : (25 May 2017 - 11:58 AM)

Prequel creep?

@  Pennpenn : (25 May 2017 - 09:47 AM)

The prequel-creep from the original Stargate movie to SG1 is kinda funny.

@  Paladin : (25 May 2017 - 08:12 AM)

clickbaid browser hijacker explains everything?

@  Nevermore : (25 May 2017 - 07:29 AM)

Wow, this explains a lot! http://www.transfo

@  Robowang : (25 May 2017 - 06:50 AM)

There have been links to articles once or twice that I actually wanted to read but were cut off.

@  Robowang : (25 May 2017 - 06:49 AM)

True.

@  unluckiness : (25 May 2017 - 06:45 AM)

eh not missing much

@  Robowang : (25 May 2017 - 06:40 AM)

Stupid Twitter.

@  Robowang : (25 May 2017 - 06:40 AM)

That explains why they are cut off all the time.

@  Robowang : (25 May 2017 - 06:40 AM)

Yuck.

@  Foffy : (24 May 2017 - 11:05 PM)

I mean, a large portion of the status updates are snippets of peoples' twitter accounts...

@  Steevy Maximus : (24 May 2017 - 09:34 PM)

I thought that was the status updates?

@  ▲ndrusi : (24 May 2017 - 09:18 PM)

Wait, I thought Twitter was the P&R shoutbox.

@  Noideaforaname : (24 May 2017 - 06:11 PM)

Nerd talk is infinitely better than P&R talk...

@  Bass X0 : (24 May 2017 - 04:30 PM)

Warning: Chatbox subject to spontaneous outbursts of nerd talk

@  Bass X0 : (24 May 2017 - 03:50 PM)

Most people should rap their age as a math problem.

@  Foffy : (24 May 2017 - 03:24 PM)

More people should state their age as math problems. I'm nine squared minus sixty-three.

@  Benbot : (24 May 2017 - 03:16 PM)

That's a complicated way of saying you're 20

@  Whirl Maximus : (24 May 2017 - 03:08 PM)

Simpsons movie is ten years old. I'm ten years older.

@  The Doctor Who : (24 May 2017 - 02:48 PM)

Or Facebook

@  Paladin : (24 May 2017 - 02:07 PM)

it's called Tumblr.

@  lastmaximal : (24 May 2017 - 02:04 PM)

Is there a p&r shoutbox?

@  Bass X0 : (24 May 2017 - 02:02 PM)

Quote from Facebook (not from me): "Religion is like having a penis. It's all very well and good to be proud of it. Just don't shove it in my face UNLESS I ASK YOU TO!"

@  Rycochet : (24 May 2017 - 11:21 AM)

In an mmmbop they're gone! In an mmm bop they're not there!

@  unluckiness : (24 May 2017 - 08:13 AM)

@  Robowang : (24 May 2017 - 08:09 AM)

It's Skyline time.

@  MEDdMI : (24 May 2017 - 06:28 AM)

Anyone else think that we're finally going to get an ongoing story arc now?

"At my last intern briefing, Craig was clearly tired. His message had changed to, "Stay out of trouble, period." It seemed that, as director of security, Livingstone was growing old fast. If he didn't watch out, he'd become one of us - a 'Mormon' or a 'straight,' which is what Clinton staffers called FBI agents, the Secret Service, and former Bush employees."

Frankie knows her pa's inventions all too well. She probably has emergency services on speed dial.

Also: "label says they can be used on any machine to-" *air quotes* "-enhance performance"

Another thing I loved: show really loves Back to the Future. In keeping with the Doc Brown naming his dogs after famous thinkers/inventors (Copernicus, Einstein), Doc Green('s daughter) names the dogs Edison and Aristotle. Sweet nod.

And she knows Cody.

So, what do we think that symbol is meant to represent? It looked kinda like a (stylized) C, but if you turned it on its side it could also be an A (with a circle around it).

And if there's any human character in the mythos who'd fit in perfectly on Griffin Rock, it'd be Arkeville. . .

If you rotate it counter-clockwise 90 degrees, it could be an M.

So surprised that there's actually going to be an on-going story arc happening. Surprised and pleased.

Also, I have the theme song stuck in my head. I think it has actually passed Cybertron's ridiculous "DESTROOOOOOOOOOOOOY the evil forces" theme as my favorite TF opening tune ever.

EARTH WAS THEIR HOME NOW, AND IN ADDITION
OPTIMUS PRIME GAVE THEM THIS MISSION

What it reminds me of most is the Earth Corps logo from Inhumanoids.

-ZacWilliam, C for Cons is kinda unlikely, huh...

It'll turn out to be a red herring and it's just the copyleft symbol because Doc Greene releases all his work under creative commons.

Perhaps the Doc inherited the lab from the government as well, and the previous owners left a few things behind?
