Within the US anyway. Those channels aren't easy or cheap to access in other countries, and their website often region lock content. Tubi is the only good thing on that list: largely identical (but not perfectly so. Damnit. I wanna watch COPS.) country to country and free.

@  Steevy Maximus : (28 May 2020 - 07:24 PM)

So yeah, Hasbro is using plenty of venues to spread exposure of their brands

@  Steevy Maximus : (28 May 2020 - 07:23 PM)

Starz currently licenses Transformers G1 and the GI Joe movie (as well as MLP specials). Netflix has more current series available.

@  Nevermore : (28 May 2020 - 07:21 PM)

Study shows: Holders of the title "world's oldest person" have a severely increased risk of dying.

@  Steevy Maximus : (28 May 2020 - 07:18 PM)

Tubi TV and Youtube both host various Hasbro cartoons. Both are freely accessed and ad supported. Any basic TV package (barring straight antenna) includes channels like USA Network, SyFy and FX, all of which regularly air the films from Transformers and GI Joe.

@  wonko the sane? : (28 May 2020 - 06:18 PM)

I dunno what to tell you, media might be changing slowly, but at least it's still accessible. Even the folks that DON'T get one of the streaming services can watch it on the company website. It's a vehicle for the toy line after all, they need to make an effort to make it as consumable as possible.

@  -LittleAutob... : (28 May 2020 - 05:41 PM)

Well. Thats said, then.... I guess... :doh

@  wonko the sane? : (28 May 2020 - 04:13 PM)

As long as the the cartoons are profitable, then they'll make more. The media it's shown on is completely irrelevant. I say that as a guy whose earliest surviving memory is a big red truck turning into a big red robot.

@  ZakuConvoy : (28 May 2020 - 03:06 PM)

Might be the end of an era. With the rise of streaming, who knows if Transformers will ever be on broadcast TV again.

@  -LittleAutob... : (28 May 2020 - 11:46 AM)

3 seasons on a show is usually enough... but yeah ;-;

@  Roddie Luver : (27 May 2020 - 09:37 PM)

I’m also sad Cyberverse has no season four.

@  Paladin : (26 May 2020 - 08:10 PM)

it's too hugging hot today.

@  -LittleAutob... : (25 May 2020 - 03:39 PM)

I'll agree with you on that.

@  -LittleAutob... : (25 May 2020 - 03:39 PM)

*Figured -_-

@  -LittleAutob... : (25 May 2020 - 03:39 PM)

I fugured

@  Steevy Maximus : (25 May 2020 - 01:37 PM)

I'm actually sad Cyberverse won't get another season. 2 and 3 (of what I've seen) have REALLY nailed it in being fun little actions shows, like the Sunbow series.

@  Rycochet : (25 May 2020 - 01:00 PM)

Yes.

@  Maximus Ambus : (25 May 2020 - 12:52 PM)

I'm waiting for Animated season 4. Am I insane?

@  wonko the sane? : (25 May 2020 - 11:22 AM)

I'm waiting for the next season to show up on netflix.

@  Sabrblade : (25 May 2020 - 10:59 AM)

Many of us have already watched the rest of the Cyberverse episodes since the whole third season aired in the UK last September.

@  -LittleAutob... : (25 May 2020 - 10:18 AM)

@  -LittleAutob... : (25 May 2020 - 10:17 AM)

I just saw the 8th episode... omg

@  Bass X0 : (25 May 2020 - 01:28 AM)

Already seen it online.

@  -LittleAutob... : (24 May 2020 - 09:42 PM)

Who's excited for tomorrow? The only thing that makes Monday worth it is the Cyberverse episodes .-.

@  wonko the sane? : (24 May 2020 - 12:30 PM)

Welcome. I just came into that trick myself recently, so happy to share.

@  Nevermore : (24 May 2020 - 12:05 PM)

Thanks, wonko the sane? for the tip with the cloning. That helped a lot!

@  -LittleAutob... : (24 May 2020 - 12:02 PM)

Heheh.... yes... I don't think a sniper would be very good at making a vaccine... 0.0

@  Nevermore : (24 May 2020 - 11:48 AM)

All right! Cloning my old HHD to an SSD and then swapping out the drive was successful, it would appear. Finally.

@  Bass X0 : (24 May 2020 - 11:30 AM)

Scientist Perceptor is. Sniper Perceptor less so.

@  -LittleAutob... : (24 May 2020 - 10:51 AM)

Perceptor would be more responsible.

@  -LittleAutob... : (24 May 2020 - 10:48 AM)

Oof x~x

@  TheMightyMol... : (24 May 2020 - 10:45 AM)

@  -LittleAutob... : (24 May 2020 - 09:39 AM)

'Horrible consequences' would most likely happen with Brainstorm...

@  -LittleAutob... : (24 May 2020 - 08:16 AM)

Totally. And Percy's not even human. XD

@  TheMightyMol... : (24 May 2020 - 06:50 AM)

Can't do much worse than our current government, I say go for it.

@  Sabrblade : (23 May 2020 - 10:13 PM)

Little do we realize that the Perceptor in question is the Mini-Con combiner. :p

@  -LittleAutob... : (23 May 2020 - 10:11 PM)

He would!!!

@  -LittleAutob... : (23 May 2020 - 10:11 PM)

Horrible consequences? I... Doubt that would happen.

@  wonko the sane? : (23 May 2020 - 09:55 PM)

Even if he would come up with the answer by tomorrow.

@  wonko the sane? : (23 May 2020 - 09:54 PM)

I'd rather not deal with the horrible but unintended consequences of that.

@  -LittleAutob... : (23 May 2020 - 09:52 PM)

Lets let Perceptor make a vaccine for COVID-19. Who agrees with me :)

@  -LittleAutob... : (23 May 2020 - 08:43 PM)

I'll take your word for it. =D

@  TM2-Megatron : (23 May 2020 - 08:42 PM)

Although the TV edits of Robocop do contain some hilarity

@  TM2-Megatron : (23 May 2020 - 08:41 PM)

I can't think of any instance where sanitizing a film is a good thing.

@  -LittleAutob... : (23 May 2020 - 06:42 PM)

.... and thats a good thing? :doh

@  Steevy Maximus : (23 May 2020 - 06:39 PM)

I'm watching Predator on Starz! That means it has all the language and gore uncensored!

@  Sabrblade : (23 May 2020 - 04:23 PM)

*grabs popcorn*

@  -LittleAutob... : (23 May 2020 - 12:49 PM)

*watching everyone argue* O^O

@  fourteenwings : (23 May 2020 - 10:22 AM)

By that logic we might as well just get rid of the Shoutbox wholesale! I'd rather have like 3 or 4 things stuck for a week or so than one person dominating the whole thing (no offense Nevermore).

@  PlutoniumBoss : (23 May 2020 - 03:30 AM)

I would argue that "full of something one doesn't read" and "devoid of reading material" are functionally identical at the end-user level. :D

Seventh Sister is in two-pack wave 2? I guess I hadn't heard that and was thinking she was an individual release. I don't really need the Darth Maul, but I guess I'm okay with her being in a two-pack if that's what freed enough budget for her mask, droid, and lightsaber (Might not seem like much, but 3 accessories? I'm impressed with that these days! :D :( )

That missile backpack is really one of the dumber ones though and I would probably have preferred a couple more droids instead.

I'm not surprised she is only going to come out in a two-pack, but at least Maul is a decent pairing.

I lucked out when I went through Fred Meyer today. Was looking at the small amount of Titans Return stuff they had when I looked over and saw that the Black Series 6 inch figures were half off. I was under-enthused as it looked like it was the usual Jakku Finns and First Order Snowtroopers, until I found Kanan in the middle. So as my first 6 inch black figure Kanan was a good start.

Picked up a 6inch Snowtrooper on Clearance at Target for $9. While I still prefer 3.75, for a bunch of reasons, it's hard to pass by the 6 inch at that significantly lower price.

-ZacWilliam, mostly got him because my wife mentioned she thought he'd be cool and at that price, sure. Only issue is I only have Kanan otherwise in that scale and the chronology-issue with their facing off slightly bugs me. #retentivenerdissues

I found this while cleaning out my old room at my folk's house. I thought it was interesting in light of our conversation on the last page.

Looks like toys have begun sneaking out, Force Friday be dammed. Target's ad is available too and it looks like they'll have some sale prices shown. Amazon matched their price on the U-wing at 44.99.

So 3.75" Sabine, Seventh Sister/Darth Maul, and the 6" Rogue One droid are all probably going to be scalper bait. Aren't they?

Those are the only things on my "Get" list, so I'm trying to decide if its worth going out on a hunt on the 30th, or just wait for online orders/restocks. :D

I honestly expect the Rebels stuff to be the easy ones to get. Relatively speaking. The Rogue One guys are the sexy new characters after all.

-ZacWilliam, I kinda expect the 3.75 Stormtrooper to be a slower seller, but then That might be balanced out by folks troop building.

Why is it the only Rey figure I can find is the one in the 4-pack? Did they decide they didn't want to encourage having female action figures of the heroes? Or are they afraid of what Robot Chicken will do with them?

Saw the 3-pack of 6" astromech droids, but not sure I want to spend $55 for them. Not when I can build whatever I want in Maya. (heck, I have the models built, just need to pick the color scheme)

The original Rey figure last fall was rare for the old sexism reason. The current ending-costume Rey figure is rare because all the figures in the last two Waves are super rare. Chalk it up to combo of scalpers, a half dozen pegwarmers, and stores under-ordering in prep for Rogue 1. You can at least get her in the 4pack and with her hover bike (and for like $16 on Amazon)

The real test will be what they learned from those issues, as it takes a year plus to move action figures from concept to shelf. How easy it is to get Jyn starting on Friday will show us more if Hasbro adjusted course after the "No Rey" uproar.

-ZacWilliam, IIRC she has a figure in both of the first two R1 Wave and several other ladies do too, which is a good sign.

Well, Jyn has been the main character since day one of film marketing. I doubt there will be a shortage of her.

For TFA Disney were playing coy for the longest time, making it seem like Finn would be the new Jedi and completely undercutting Rey's importance. So we got plenty of Finn in the first wave, and Rey was a lot harder to find.

Yeah, if you believe Hasbro (and why wouldn't you really - they're in it to make money after all), they were told by Disney/Lucasfilm not place too much focus on Rey which is why her figure was not as prevalent at the start, and has been forced to play catch-up since.

They have since said there will be more Ersos available from the start.

I HAD WALMART EXCLUSIVE 3.75 BLACK SERIES AHSOKA IN MY HANDS AND THEY WOULDN'T SELL HER TO ME! AAAAAAHHH!!!111oneoneone

Oh well, what can you do? One of my stores had pretty much everything out on the shelf/pegs, but they all came up as "sale restricted" and they wouldn't sell 'em. I guess the up-side is, once a manager discovered it they took everything down and put it in the back, so it will level the playing field come Friday.
