@  NotVeryKnightly : (29 May 2020 - 01:05 AM)

Cyberverse is already officially uploaded to YouTube.

@  fourteenwings : (29 May 2020 - 12:36 AM)

Spin Master is abridging current episodes of Bakugan Armored Alliance and posting the result on YouTube. Maybe Hasbro does that someday too.

@  -LittleAutob... : (28 May 2020 - 10:59 PM)

I see... :/

@  wonko the sane? : (28 May 2020 - 08:14 PM)

Within the US anyway. Those channels aren't easy or cheap to access in other countries, and their website often region lock content. Tubi is the only good thing on that list: largely identical (but not perfectly so. Damnit. I wanna watch COPS.) country to country and free.

@  Steevy Maximus : (28 May 2020 - 07:24 PM)

So yeah, Hasbro is using plenty of venues to spread exposure of their brands

@  Steevy Maximus : (28 May 2020 - 07:23 PM)

Starz currently licenses Transformers G1 and the GI Joe movie (as well as MLP specials). Netflix has more current series available.

@  Nevermore : (28 May 2020 - 07:21 PM)

Study shows: Holders of the title "world's oldest person" have a severely increased risk of dying.

@  Steevy Maximus : (28 May 2020 - 07:18 PM)

Tubi TV and Youtube both host various Hasbro cartoons. Both are freely accessed and ad supported. Any basic TV package (barring straight antenna) includes channels like USA Network, SyFy and FX, all of which regularly air the films from Transformers and GI Joe.

@  wonko the sane? : (28 May 2020 - 06:18 PM)

I dunno what to tell you, media might be changing slowly, but at least it's still accessible. Even the folks that DON'T get one of the streaming services can watch it on the company website. It's a vehicle for the toy line after all, they need to make an effort to make it as consumable as possible.

@  -LittleAutob... : (28 May 2020 - 05:41 PM)

Well. Thats said, then.... I guess... :doh

@  wonko the sane? : (28 May 2020 - 04:13 PM)

As long as the the cartoons are profitable, then they'll make more. The media it's shown on is completely irrelevant. I say that as a guy whose earliest surviving memory is a big red truck turning into a big red robot.

@  ZakuConvoy : (28 May 2020 - 03:06 PM)

Might be the end of an era. With the rise of streaming, who knows if Transformers will ever be on broadcast TV again.

@  -LittleAutob... : (28 May 2020 - 11:46 AM)

3 seasons on a show is usually enough... but yeah ;-;

@  Roddie Luver : (27 May 2020 - 09:37 PM)

I’m also sad Cyberverse has no season four.

@  Paladin : (26 May 2020 - 08:10 PM)

it's too hugging hot today.

@  -LittleAutob... : (25 May 2020 - 03:39 PM)

I'll agree with you on that.

@  -LittleAutob... : (25 May 2020 - 03:39 PM)

I fugured

@  Steevy Maximus : (25 May 2020 - 01:37 PM)

I'm actually sad Cyberverse won't get another season. 2 and 3 (of what I've seen) have REALLY nailed it in being fun little actions shows, like the Sunbow series.

@  Rycochet : (25 May 2020 - 01:00 PM)

Yes.

@  Maximus Ambus : (25 May 2020 - 12:52 PM)

I'm waiting for Animated season 4. Am I insane?

@  wonko the sane? : (25 May 2020 - 11:22 AM)

I'm waiting for the next season to show up on netflix.

@  Sabrblade : (25 May 2020 - 10:59 AM)

At those prices, I'm not surprised!  But then again, you've enjoyed lots of cheap Daleks and Thunderbird 2's over the years  :p

I bought one of my larger TB2 at a Bootsale for 3.00 and the other one in the ARGOS sale for £14

I also got a boxed sonictech Tracy Island at a sale trail for £5.00

Daleks are not usually cheap though - or often even obtainable outside Comic shops or TRU - I do have some of the 5" ones though that came from Carbootsales I usually pay about 50 or 70p but the only ones I've seen lately have been rarer ones and people wanted £4 each for them loose so I left those.

I have had to mix and match parts though as the little kids pull them to bits.

But I never see Star Wars stuff unless it's some dealer selling vintage ones or the odd stall selling new stuff for nearly as much money as Ebay.

The UK toy buying scene is pretty much horrible unless you live in a City or are a Girl - especially since Woolworths died.

So, hey, remember that news about Dollar General getting TFA stuff?  Apparently, it's hitting.  Wave 1 single figures (at $8), Micro Machines 3 packs ($6), and even that wacky "Hero Series" Millennium Falcon is appearing with a price tag of $15.

http://www.jeditempl...ticle&sid=16256

Also, people keep reporting Walgreens stores getting stuff, including 6" Black wave 2, but I've yet to see anything at mine

Can't help but wonder if stuff like this isn't a significant part of these shortages:

Typically, Dollar General wouldn't be touching "first run" retail stuff like this (short maybe the MM blindbags), but here they are getting at least a case or two per store.  You've got Kohls getting features with, presumably, another case or two each store.  Frickin' JC PENNY is getting little features with a case or two per store! When was the last time anyone saw real action figures at a JC Penny store?

There are some 12,000 DG stores, so that's 12-24K cases tied up.

Kohls has some 1,200, so there's another 1200 cases

JC Penny has another 1000 or so stores.

And that doesn't count drug stores or regional/specialty stores like Hastings, Fred Meyer, Shopko among others.  Or some large chains of grocery stores are getting product as well.

I'm sure that isn't the ONLY factor, but it may well be a contributing one to the current lack of product in many areas.

Has anyone else finished the Space series build-an-accessory? With the waist clip it has on the base and the handles on the side I think it makes a lot more sense built with the bottom third turned the other way.

When you do that it makes a really great gun turret sort of reminiscent of the ones on the Falcon.

-ZacWilliam, this way feels like it makes a lot more sense and is more fun than the official arrangement.

I still think Star Wars toy production is contributing to the relative lack of other Hasbro line in distribution terms in some places.

Yeah but that implies that Collectors of Marvel Figures or Transformers are automatically going to be buying Star Wars toys instead.

I don't have much interested in 5POA figures and I don't have the space for big vehicles so I can't say I will be buying very much of it.

But I would be buying the Transformers - If I could find them more easily that is currently the case in my area. It's as bad as that weird year when Hasbro utterly screwed up Transformers Prime releases for about 8 months.

Star Wars collectors are huge bunch. Hasbro can afford Transformers and Marvel fans buying less for a few months.

Also collectors are never gonna be as important as kids, which is where attention should be.

ZacWilliam, that said I think the company can have a focus for a period without the conspiracy like idea that they're purposely "sabotaging" their own other lines.

It makes not difference if the subject is Kids or Collectors - simply put not everyone is going to want to buy 5POA figures - if the did want to buy the SWBlack ones - they'd have to hunt for them a bit in some instances.

In the UK for example the Star Wars thing really hasn't hit here yet - I don't know if this is tardyness - as many stores didn't get JW Dinos until after the Movie had been out 3 weeks.

I even saw someone pushing around a cage full of Hasbro Force Awakens toys in one of my local Supermarkets she put out a few 12" figures and then pushed the rest out the back - didn't seem to be any place on the plan for the Star Wars they clearly had - which is odd as heck - especially as that store has a half price toys sale every year that they get things in for special  - if they put it out then I will really raise my eyebrows.

I guess what I am suggesting is a problem in may area is that they have cleared the space to put the Star Wars - then not actually put the Star wars stuff out - so maybe they should have left that other stuff there a bit longer instead.

I think Halloween is getting in the way a bit though so until that has gone I can't be sure - but then Xmas specific non-toys will be taking up extra space often given to toys in places like Supermarkets.

It seems to early to say how it's going to go - but I have this suspicion that the Retailers seem a bit indifferent to Star Wars so far they are not treating it as any sort of 'special event' in anyway so far. except for TRU who have perhaps gone way to far the other way and seemed to be giving it way to much focus.

I don't think it's acceptable that you go in a Toystore chain and all you can find is Hasbro & lego Star wars stuff by the truck load - and not much else - why should there be no Rescue Bots on the shelves because of Star Wars pinching all the boats - that isn't the same market at all.

Even when I've had my occasional flirtations with Star Wars toys it's often as not been because there was nothing much else to buy at the time - I want Transformers (heck Star Wars : Transformers would be good). I don't want Angry Birds Transformers though particularly.

I think it's a shame if Star Wars in TRU swamps other lines so it limits things like Jurassic World getting more stock.

But so far I really can't tell if the whole "Force Awakens" thing is going to be 'Just in time' or only hit many shelves after the movie is out. -if at all.

I suspect some Retailers are so dumb here they will not anticipate the success and will wait and see what happens then find they can't actually get the stock they might have bought until say March 2016 as TRU has got allocated it all.

Also It's a bit of a shame that Hasbro knackered poor ol' Galoob all those years ago as I'm sure they'd have done something a bit interesting with Action Fleet if they were still around.

As for Hasbro I tend to stick by my opinion that the lunatics are running the asylum at that place so I expect they to do crazy things by routine now.  I wish them some luck but at the same time if they have loads of success with 5POA and Force Awakens then I bet that means everyone will be stuck with it for the foreseeable future, if you like it or not.

So yesterday was my unofficial Ray Park appreciation day as I not only purchased both the Diznee Store's Elite Series Darth Maul figure but Bandai's S.H. Figuarts Darth Maul figure as well. I can't think of any way better that I could've pissed away over $125.00USD.

Ray and I haven't crossed paths recently but he and I had a running joke between the two of us where I'd always ask him when he was going to go in to pre-production on his Iron Fist movie.

We always had a good chuckle about that.

More new things leaking out, this time some TRU exclusives:

Armor Mission Packs, first up are Captain Phasma and X-Wing Poe (featuring the same tooling from the X-Wing vehicle)

http://www.toysrus.c...linkid_11421867

http://www.toysrus.c...linkid_11421867

The "Epic Battles" logo on Phasma points to these being part of the TRU exclusive "Epic Battles" thing, which has thus far adorned all of TRU's TFA exclusive items (like the exclusive Titan Captain Phasma and Desert TIE Fighter).

The big question will be what sort of exclusive these will end up being: are these armor pieces going to be exclusive to these TRU sets, or does Hasbro have another assortment of Armor Up to reveal?  And if so, will a variation on these sets be among them?  As is, there are clear samples for each of the four "themes" Hasbro has divided the line into, and they really don't look THAT bad.  I really like the "desert" set with Phasma (would go GREAT with Rey), and Poe's got a great "Hoth" gear with him.

I have to continue to profess my soft spot for the IDEA of this assortment, though I'm still not thrilled on the PRICE.  As is, given irregularities with currency conversion and all that, these sets could be anywhere from $15-20 when they come out here.  At $15...I'd be highly tempted (especially since this is the only way to get that version of Poe without dumping for the X-Wing), but we'll have to wait and see.

I finally managed to find Kylo Ren at a Dollar General. Might be worth checking there if anybody's missing anything from the first wave -- there's a chance your local collectors won't know about it yet.

Now bring on...identical second-wave Kylo Ren with a new unique accessory, I guess. Ugh.

Tried one Dolar General nearby and it was one of the saddest stores I've ever been in. Things just strewn on shelves randomly dirty and half opened. And no Star Wars at all.

I'm assuming they aren't all like that.

-ZacWilliam, I'm gonna get Phasma and Kylo when I get paid on Fri. If I have to pay a bit too much on eBay to do it.

The Hasbro panel is going on right new.

New stuff so far seems to be very early renderings of Revan and Sabine. Also, a 3.75 figure of The 7th Sister from Rebels season 2.

Apparently they're working on a removable helmet for Sabine. Weird since the reports from SDCC said they were just going to go with swapable heads.
