Ha! Talk about getting away with something!

@  Maximus Ambus : (01 June 2020 - 09:08 AM)

Carnivac was still an evil Decepticon at heart, and no one shot him in the back for it.

:p

@  Maximus Ambus : (30 May 2020 - 02:14 AM)

Shockwave did it.

@  NotVeryKnightly : (30 May 2020 - 12:21 AM)

I'm not in the US and at least some of the episodes seem to work for me. I don't know the actual list of places it's available, though.

@  Shockwave 75 : (29 May 2020 - 10:37 PM)

Unfortunately It seems Cyberverse is only available in the US on YouTube.

@  -LittleAutob... : (29 May 2020 - 09:19 AM)

Yes, and its ongoing.

@  NotVeryKnightly : (29 May 2020 - 01:05 AM)

Cyberverse is already officially uploaded to YouTube.

@  fourteenwings : (29 May 2020 - 12:36 AM)

Spin Master is abridging current episodes of Bakugan Armored Alliance and posting the result on YouTube. Maybe Hasbro does that someday too.

@  -LittleAutob... : (28 May 2020 - 10:59 PM)

I see... :/

@  wonko the sane? : (28 May 2020 - 08:14 PM)

Within the US anyway. Those channels aren't easy or cheap to access in other countries, and their website often region lock content. Tubi is the only good thing on that list: largely identical (but not perfectly so. Damnit. I wanna watch COPS.) country to country and free.

@  Steevy Maximus : (28 May 2020 - 07:24 PM)

So yeah, Hasbro is using plenty of venues to spread exposure of their brands

@  Steevy Maximus : (28 May 2020 - 07:23 PM)

Starz currently licenses Transformers G1 and the GI Joe movie (as well as MLP specials). Netflix has more current series available.

@  Nevermore : (28 May 2020 - 07:21 PM)

Study shows: Holders of the title "world's oldest person" have a severely increased risk of dying.

@  Steevy Maximus : (28 May 2020 - 07:18 PM)

Tubi TV and Youtube both host various Hasbro cartoons. Both are freely accessed and ad supported. Any basic TV package (barring straight antenna) includes channels like USA Network, SyFy and FX, all of which regularly air the films from Transformers and GI Joe.

@  wonko the sane? : (28 May 2020 - 06:18 PM)

I dunno what to tell you, media might be changing slowly, but at least it's still accessible. Even the folks that DON'T get one of the streaming services can watch it on the company website. It's a vehicle for the toy line after all, they need to make an effort to make it as consumable as possible.

@  -LittleAutob... : (28 May 2020 - 05:41 PM)

Well. Thats said, then.... I guess... :doh

@  wonko the sane? : (28 May 2020 - 04:13 PM)

As long as the the cartoons are profitable, then they'll make more. The media it's shown on is completely irrelevant. I say that as a guy whose earliest surviving memory is a big red truck turning into a big red robot.

@  ZakuConvoy : (28 May 2020 - 03:06 PM)

Might be the end of an era. With the rise of streaming, who knows if Transformers will ever be on broadcast TV again.

@  -LittleAutob... : (28 May 2020 - 11:46 AM)

3 seasons on a show is usually enough... but yeah ;-;

@  Roddie Luver : (27 May 2020 - 09:37 PM)

I’m also sad Cyberverse has no season four.

@  Paladin : (26 May 2020 - 08:10 PM)

it's too hugging hot today.

@  -LittleAutob... : (25 May 2020 - 03:39 PM)

I'll agree with you on that.

@  Steevy Maximus : (25 May 2020 - 01:37 PM)

I'm actually sad Cyberverse won't get another season. 2 and 3 (of what I've seen) have REALLY nailed it in being fun little actions shows, like the Sunbow series.

@  Rycochet : (25 May 2020 - 01:00 PM)

Yes.

@  Maximus Ambus : (25 May 2020 - 12:52 PM)

I'm waiting for Animated season 4. Am I insane?

I'm waiting for the next season to show up on netflix.

@  Sabrblade : (25 May 2020 - 10:59 AM)

@  Bass X0 : (25 May 2020 - 01:28 AM)

Fine, I'll admit that in a regular tub of lego, its completely off scale for the proper effect. However, its the spirit of building, individual creativity and freedom that both represent. If you're gonna be this picky on both minecraft and lego, I think you're doing it wrong.

It's not the license, it's the building. Doesn't matter if it's branded, go make something unique and fun.

And relax man, you gonna pay so much for new monitors that you won't be able to afford minecraft OR lego.

Actually, Caboose's response is pretty useful. I think it gets to the heart of the difference between creation and consumerism. icon-hotrod.gif

Jawblade is cool but he's not the standard of what Hero Factory normally offers. Toxic Repa is closer and Splitface is even closer but they both lack hands witch is a pet peeve of mine. I've modified all my Hero Factory sets in some way most of them it was just re working the arms a bit to give them at least one hand or two for all the heroes

I grabbed the Two Face Chase Set today at Fred Meyer (selection in my town is abysmal: no Alien Conquerors, and the only space sets besides the Town Shuttle are a handful of Star Wars sets that didn't thrill me. They were also sold out of the Lex Luther mech suit, sadly) along with a couple of series 6 figures. I thought I got a robot, but I wound up with a Geisha and a Leprechaun. Ah well.

I like this set a lot more than I liked the Batcave. Batcave never felt very.. solid. It's too whispy and the vehicles were small so despite the set being actually pretty big, it feels fairly insubstantial. Not the case here. The Batmobile is a very nice solid chunk of lego. It looks FANTASTIC, though it kinda bugs me how there's a complex arm system within the vehicle that does nothing but holds the flick missile holder at an angle. Still, it looks really good. The Two Face tow-truck is pretty cool, with it's dual color scheme making the build a little more interesting. It's a nice, good sized vehicle and very solid too. I love how they use four binoculars to make the gatling cannon on the jeep. Inspired design right there. icon-fire.gif

The banks gimmick is forgettable, though the safe its a nice piece and the bank itself is a nice solid chunk of building. The Two Face minifig looks good, though I wish they gave him a gun or something. The two goons and security guard are pretty standard and Batman looks like Batman, with a little.. uh paper? cape. This is my third batman set, so just two more to go and I'll have all of the current DC superhero sets.

I also grabbed a small Creator canister(Firetruck, Helicopter, Jeep) from Walmart earlier in the week and that thing is incredibly fun to rip apart and rebuild into the different things. Got it for only $3 too. Grabbed a couple of blind packed Megablocks Marvel and got Magneto (awesome) and Mr. Fantastic (meh) while I was there too. I'm amazed how much of a direct copy the megablock blocks are. As least with my old Tycho Super Blocks, they didn't include the "tubes" so as to not be complete ripoffs. icon-fire.gif

The cape is made from the same material that capes have been made out of ever since... at least Fright Knights. I'm sure there were capes in other series before that, but that's the first time I remember it. Speaking of capes, it's really a travesty that the Catwoman Chase set didn't come with a Batman cape. It's really a waste of a minifigure, especially if you're like me, and you hang the Bat-Glider up with the rest of the "Bat Gear" in the Batcave.

As far as guns go, Pick-a-Brick courtesy of Shop.Lego.com sells pistols and tommy guns, which is awesome since police/robber figures come sans weapons. Plus, it was great to give a tommy gun to the gangster from Minifigure Series 5.

The use of binoculars to make gatling guns was done for the Lunar Limo set, too. And I agree, pretty awesome idea/execution.

I just picked up the Two-faced Chase set, myself. It's nice to have a Tim Burton Batman along with the comic style Batman from the Batcave set. And yeah, the Two-Face vic is great with the dual-coloured build, tho I wish they hadn't gone with purple/orange Two-Face. I've always been partial to the black/white or at least the black/blue, but I guess Lego was looking for a little contrast to the generally dark colours of Batman.

The Batmobile is nice, and I really like the fact that they made it able to fit through the doors to the Batcave.

And just an aside, but seeing as Lego has the DC license, and there's a Batman movie coming out this summer, what do you think the chances are of getting any movie-inspired sets? I'd at least like to get a Bane figure that's more like the Wampa than just a standard minifigure. Oh, and a set with Alfred. It was too bad that they left him out of the Batcave set.

IIRC, there's at least one movie inspired set come later in the year. But I forget where I read that.

Oh son of a.. they made a Batman set exclusive to Toys R Us? That's going to be a pain in the butt to get.

Yeah, but TRU has a BOGO 50% off deal going on this week (also applies to their online shopping).
Also, that same set is available at Shop.Lego.com for $5 less than what TRU is normally asking.

So TRU, in addition to their BOGO 50% off deal, also had their ridiculously overpriced Ninjago Cole's Tread Assault on sale for for $34.99 ($5 less than MSRP and down from TRU's $49.99 icon-ball.gif )
I grabbed it along with the Batman Funhouse Escape set.

The funny thing? For some odd reason, TRU's computer still considered the Ninjago set to be $49.99, but charged me $34.99.
...so what does that mean? It means that the 50% off applied to the $44.99 Batman set instead of the $34.99 set which ultimately charged me less than it ought to have.

Hooray for weird programming anomalies and actually coming away from TRU paying less than MSRP.

TRU has (over-priced) pre-orders for the Marvel Super Heroes sets (with pictures).

Digging the Wolverine set, and while I like the Quinjet and Helicarrier sets, I'd rather there be less Avengers-movie inspired sets - though, I do understand why they exist from a marketing perspective.

The local Walgreens still has a few Mega-Bloks sets from the last movie, and so next time I get paid I'll likely go pick those up then.

They have one set which is Iron-Man and a workstation, and two sets that have the drones and workstations.

Iron Man's head is that big so it can open and close and show off Stark's face. From what was said, it's not terribly bigger than the Batman mask, and that doesn't seem to be too bothersome.

I know why it was done. I even get why they thought it was a good idea from a play feature perspective. That doesn't change the fact that it looks horrible IMO.
