I'm really happy I don't care about Wave 20 of DCUC.
Also a Reign of Superman wave popped up for pre-orders, but isn't really happening, says Mattel. Curses, I wanted another DCSH Brainiac.

Same here. Plus another Eradicator with a chance at clear goggles.

You're far too young to be this bitter and angry at the world....
I'm reading that with Roy's voice. Heck, I read everything you post in a laconic Irish accent.

Because it's a rare-ish toy I want more of, duh!

Edit: And I'm not convinced we WONT see the LOS 12-pack in matty's next big whatever-sale.

It is interesting to note that after reading this post, I went back to the tab I opened around 1 when I placed my order today. It said the LOSH pack was "almost gone". Doesn't say that anymore. Hmm...

New 52 Superman and Flash, Red Robin, and Black Outfit Supergirl.
Eh.
Edit: Changed the picture to link because it was breaking the frame.

I was wondering how they would do the New 52 suits, considering all the panel lines they have. Looks like those details are being ignored. I guess I am ok with that.

But in the current, digitized world, trivial information is accumulating every second, preserved in all its triteness. Never fading, always accessible. Rumors about petty issues, misinterpretations, slander... All this junk data preserved in an unfiltered state, growing at an alarming rate. It will only slow down social progress, reduce the rate of evolution. You seem to think that our plan is one of censorship. What we propose to do is not to control content, but to create context.

That's bumming me out. I haven't even been into DCUC very long, and I'm already sick of seeing nearly-unmodified bucks.
I mean, the price has been hiked to almost $20 each, there's no CnC piece anymore, less articulation then ever, no accessories, and very limited new parts in each figure. The value proposition is just in the toilet.
It makes me wonder if Warner/DC/whoever is charging Mattel a stupid-high fee on the license, or maybe Mattel is just that cheap, or they're sick of competing with DC Direct, or full of jealousy that Hasbro is getting stupid-rich off of the Marvel license, who knows?

Well, Hasbro did do the smart thing by killing off Marvel Legends when it did. They weren't selling the way they were expected to sell, and the profit margin was much less, I would imagine. Way less plastic and packaging is used for MU, and really the biggest mistake I can see Mattel making was not trying to be as competitive in that size class as it was with the 6" figures.
That being said, there are still tons of places that don't stock MU, and they warm the pegs just as much as they move, depending on what sells when. As excited as the fandom is to have ML back, I wonder how well they will perform, and how long they can keep their prices lower than the DC line.
What I would like to see is both lines be successful, as much as it would kill my wallet.

It's not for me!
The panel lines look downright stupid, and ignoring Superman's new Space Go-Go Boots helps the look some. I mean it still looks utterly ridiculous with the high collar and the pointy ends of the sleeves (how does he hide THOSE under his Clark Kent guise?) but it's a mild improvement.
As for Flash, why did they keep him as Barry Allen if they were just going to make him look as much like Wally West as possible?

Too bad that green eye paint can't do much about those stupid booties.

No, no, you're thinking of the two boobs currently running DC.

Not trying to start an argument here, but how are those boots stupid? Is it not realistic to think that his boots would overlap the spandex pant legs just a bit? All in all, it seems like not only a plausible detail of the costume, but also a very minor thing to find fault in. I guess I just don't get it.
Edit: Going to leave the above comments but add something I have noticed now that Detour has me looking at the details more. Mattel has reused the same boots on Red Robin as Flash. They have the same dip in the front, which may be one of the other elements that I guess you guys don't like. Can't say I'm super keen about them being used on a character that I am not sure has ever had them.
As for Flash, I'll still be getting out the green paints, but I thought about going a step further and swapping some Barry Allen lower legs to get the boots right. I'd have the remove the little wings, but I may give it a try, if I decide the boots bother me enough to do anything once I have him.

It's much more fun to read as boobies.
