[Detour]

So, just in case you have not tried it, the VvV Jinx blindfold looks great on the white SDCC figure. I'll try to post pics later, and I will try it on the red Jinx when she arrives.

I'd like to see the pics.

My unmasked Jinx just arrived and I tried but it was putting too much force on the blindfold, and I didn't want to risk it.

Found the Retaliation Ninja 3-pack on clearance for $10 today at Target. I needed more Snake-Eyes and Storm Shadow figures like I need an bunghole in middle of my forehead, but the Red Ninja makes a passable 30th Slice, and I've been hankering for that sugegasa. So $10 was a good enough price to make me forget that I wasn't going to buy into the Retaliation line.

Snake-Eyes sucks since he really can't hold his katana once you remove the band keeping it there.

I just can't get over how much nicer the three-pack versions of SE and SS are than their single-packed equivalents. I really prefer the alternate deco on that SS mold, and SE's vest. A bunch of swords and guns is also more to my liking than jetpacks or weird crossbow zipline-things. Plus, savings!

Still can't find a darned G.I. Joe Trooper anywhere. But the single-packed Red Ninja is only just starting to show up here, so there's hope.

Now that I have the two three-packs, Zartan, the black CC and a Cobra Trooper, I'm pretty much good re: the figures until next March. Just want to find a Joe Trooper or two. I do have some interest in the single-packed Roadblock (he of the thing fused to his hand), mainly because I like that there's actually a place to attach his mega-launcher TO him when he's holding it. That interests me, seems like a step up from the past. But I can wait until he shows up at Ross.

I saw so much coolness at Joecon that it simultaneously renews my optimism and makes me itch to get my hands on that later stuff!

There's only one wave shipping, so the Red Ninja shows up with everybody else. I suppose you'll just have to hope you luck out when a fresh case is put out. I've personally run across both versions of the Joe Trooper, the blue one at Wal-Mart and the tan one at Target.

There's only one wave shipping, so the Red Ninja shows up with everybody else. I suppose you'll just have to hope you luck out when a fresh case is put out. I've personally run across both versions of the Joe Trooper, the blue one at Wal-Mart and the tan one at Target.

I have only seen one at a Target, which I scouped up immidiately.

I may just be lucky, I had no problem getting mine on either figure. For anyone else who is trying to do this, make sure you put the band on from the underside of the popped off head.

Thanks! Jinx's pics were shot with an iPhone in the bathroom. Kinda like a lot of other females who post their pictures online.

And you should open one. I really like the red version best, but one of the cards on each was not perfect, so I opened a red and a white. They are nice figures, even though the paint on maskless Jinx makes her look like she has a bit of a stash.

Awwww... Red Fang was such a missed opportunity. I loved the head and shades, but he really could have benefited from Night Creeper legs and a better vest thing.

Got the two ninja 3-packs today at Target for $5.98 each.

That's almost worth it for the accessories alone, but beyond worth it for the one figure out of each pack I was willing to pay for. It's like I got Kamakura and Not-Slice at a discount and also got a free Roadblock, Beachhead, SE and SS to use for parts.

It's funny, I'd originally used him for parts for a different custom... but after a bunch of anti-ninja (or anti-anything fun, really) Joe fans started bashing him on another page, I gave it another look and put him back together.

It REALLY pulls off the "hi-tech ninja" look a lot more effectively than most Night Creeper figures.
Kinda wish I'd army built it.
