I might need to update my software, or they face regional limitations, cause I found no evidence of either.

Spiffy! The english dub of Bubblegum Crisis on Tubi. It's gotten so hard to find these oldies on modern streaming services.

@  ▲ndrusi : (19 February 2020 - 02:34 PM)

Or do Japan's cultural values vary depending on exactly who you're trying to shut down?

@  ▲ndrusi : (19 February 2020 - 02:33 PM)

Could it be that, perhaps, these different cultural values might lead to a different approach seeming appropriate?

@  ▲ndrusi : (19 February 2020 - 02:32 PM)

Hm. Back when we were arguing about the Legends comic, I seem to recall being repeatedly told that Japan had different cultural values than the US (and therefore anyone who had a problem with anything at all was wrong to voice that opinion ever).

@  fourteenwings : (19 February 2020 - 07:23 AM)

Plus, as much as I hate to admit it, every single anime character is built to suit the audience's tastes so they buy more merch/do other things that allow $$$ to flow in the production committees direction, so the authenticity is certainly not for representation's sake.

@  fourteenwings : (19 February 2020 - 07:18 AM)

Both those anime air at midnight and are aimed at a very specific audience in a whole other media landscape. Major projects have press releases about almost everything, and there are groups just waiting to pat anybody on the back for doing what they want (GLAAD, HRC, etc)

@  B-Fox : (19 February 2020 - 03:16 AM)

It's funny that a friggin' anime about zombie idols and an anime about a school of anthropomorphic animals can have really positive trans characters WITHOUT a press release about their inclusion in the series prior to the episodes airing or having the creators announcing it on social media and patting themselves on the back for doing a thing.

Vegans are better than kids if you don't talk to them. They'll keep the lawn trimmed anyway.

Do you want vegans? Because that's how you get vegans.

@  CORVUS : (18 February 2020 - 04:33 PM)

Hook up your sprinkler system to a canister of healthy organic carrot-juice. The kids won't be able to get off your lawn fast enough.

Or there's just conveniently no reception, or all of their phones are dead at the same time. Or they're just stupid and forget about them.

The Hub as a concept was a terrible and dated idea.  The shows themselves were good, they just really should have been backed by Netflix or something that's not a forgotten station in the TV dead zone.

Fall of Cybertron will blow your mind. That is all.

I'm pondering making a custom Sparkplug out of 25th anniversary Bazooka.  Can anyone think of a sleeveless jacket/vest that's big enough for Bazooka?  I tried an Indiana Jones jacket, but it's just not wide enough.

This head seems about perfect for him:  https://www.marauder...p/mtf-h9020.htm

Rise of Cobra Sgt Stone's vest is fairly big, and if you split it down the middle and trim it so it's "unzipped", it should fit.

I used one for my Tollbooth custom.

Even beefy Heavy Duty's vest is an awkward fit on that Bazooka torso, the slimmer Sgt Stone's vest won't work sadly.

I tried a 3.75" Black Series Han Solo vest last night and it was too small.  So I think I've exhausted Harrison Ford as a donor.  I may have to resort to splitting something down the back and gluing it in place.  I'd prefer not to have an ugly gap in the back, though, if I could avoid it.

ROC Heavy Duty's will fit, it'll just look one or two sizes too small on him.

I used it (or rather, the Target-exclusive Rise of Cobra Roadblock reuse of it) on Bench-Press's torso (same mold as Bazooka) to try and make a Gung-Ho custom. It fit, but it hindered his arm movement some.

Just a heads up for those who've been curious - I never saw the new Lanard Aliens APC in stores, but it popped up available to ship so I ordered one. It's waaay smaller than I expected. I didn't really think it'd be as big as the RHINO, but I certainly thought it'd be closer to it than the Armadillo. It's probably 1:32 scale.

I saw it in stores so its size didn't shock me. It's still pretty cool. The Queen is giant though.

Some Joe storyboard samples, originally posted by Marvel storyboard artist Michael Swanigan and given permission for me to add them to the archive:

First one goes right back to the beginning, with 10 pages from part 3 of The MASS Device:

4007 pg39.jpg

Interesting that even at this late stage, the cartoon was going to be in line with the comic and have Hawk be the leader.

Then 9 pages from episode no.21 The Greenhouse Effect.  "A planting we will go, a planting we will go!  Hi-ho a merry-o!  A planting we will go!"

600-21 pg93.jpg

Check them out at https://sunbowmarvel...-hero-1983.html

Allegedly, Jazwares was displaying G.I. Joe action figures at the Nuremberg Toy Fair.  Sadly, no details about the figures have come out.

-look great

I can confidently make the same predictions about the next five Transformers lines. Its pure speculation.

4 inch? Or 6 inch?

The Fortnite 4 inch figures are pretty solid. I know that they do a line for 6 inch, and with the news of GI Joe Classified, I thought I'd ask.

The 4 inch guys. I am tempted on a couple of 6" inch ones, but I wanted something that would line up with my old school 4" inch Joes. I've got a Ripper out that I'm checking how well Fornite guns/backpacks sync up.
