I see what you're saying but I guess in this instance it could've still been plenty different. The brown vest vs Law's gray plus long sleeves would make quite a difference - he'd really only be like 1/4 or maybe 1/3 similar

Heh, that panel is like a tamer version of Rob Liefeld's infamous Captain America pinup, looking at the angle the chest is drawn in vs. his head, arms and lower body.
Probably not, but I'm okay with it. I'm always up to hearing about Joe fiction and considering how non-existant discussion is elsewhere I'm totally up to hearing more about it.
All in all, though, putting aside the character itself and the person behind him, I always liked the v2 colors better.
But IMO the Law parts just don't lend themselves well to that color scheme. Dake's idea about using the Shock Trooper vest and some long sleeves would've worked.
You're far too young to be this bitter and angry at the world....
I'm reading that with Roy's voice. Heck, I read everything you post in a laconic Irish accent.

Not for me. That face sculpt really doesn't look right.

Looks nice, and it looks like they tried to combine the red hair with the blond hair for the strawberry blonde look.

Sparta has a green belt and boots as well. Cover Girl's gone with brown instead.
CG also has the extra belt with the pouch.

It's definitely the same hair at least.

I think, like Barrel Roll and jinx, the Club is taking new sculpt heads and reworking them to make them capatible with 25th/ME construction. I would be VERY surprised if the club did any major changes to the Sparta tooling itself.
I do like they made the effort to make Cover Girl a bit more unique than "the other redhead"
