@  Maximus Ambus : (30 May 2020 - 02:14 AM)

Shockwave did it.

@  NotVeryKnightly : (30 May 2020 - 12:21 AM)

I'm not in the US and at least some of the episodes seem to work for me. I don't know the actual list of places it's available, though.

@  Shockwave 75 : (29 May 2020 - 10:37 PM)

Unfortunately It seems Cyberverse is only available in the US on YouTube.

@  -LittleAutob... : (29 May 2020 - 09:19 AM)

Yes, and its ongoing.

@  NotVeryKnightly : (29 May 2020 - 01:05 AM)

Cyberverse is already officially uploaded to YouTube.

@  fourteenwings : (29 May 2020 - 12:36 AM)

Spin Master is abridging current episodes of Bakugan Armored Alliance and posting the result on YouTube. Maybe Hasbro does that someday too.

@  -LittleAutob... : (28 May 2020 - 10:59 PM)

I see... :/

@  wonko the sane? : (28 May 2020 - 08:14 PM)

Within the US anyway. Those channels aren't easy or cheap to access in other countries, and their website often region lock content. Tubi is the only good thing on that list: largely identical (but not perfectly so. Damnit. I wanna watch COPS.) country to country and free.

@  Steevy Maximus : (28 May 2020 - 07:24 PM)

So yeah, Hasbro is using plenty of venues to spread exposure of their brands

@  Steevy Maximus : (28 May 2020 - 07:23 PM)

Starz currently licenses Transformers G1 and the GI Joe movie (as well as MLP specials). Netflix has more current series available.

@  Nevermore : (28 May 2020 - 07:21 PM)

Study shows: Holders of the title "world's oldest person" have a severely increased risk of dying.

@  Steevy Maximus : (28 May 2020 - 07:18 PM)

Tubi TV and Youtube both host various Hasbro cartoons. Both are freely accessed and ad supported. Any basic TV package (barring straight antenna) includes channels like USA Network, SyFy and FX, all of which regularly air the films from Transformers and GI Joe.

@  wonko the sane? : (28 May 2020 - 06:18 PM)

I dunno what to tell you, media might be changing slowly, but at least it's still accessible. Even the folks that DON'T get one of the streaming services can watch it on the company website. It's a vehicle for the toy line after all, they need to make an effort to make it as consumable as possible.

@  -LittleAutob... : (28 May 2020 - 05:41 PM)

Well. Thats said, then.... I guess... :doh

@  wonko the sane? : (28 May 2020 - 04:13 PM)

As long as the the cartoons are profitable, then they'll make more. The media it's shown on is completely irrelevant. I say that as a guy whose earliest surviving memory is a big red truck turning into a big red robot.

@  ZakuConvoy : (28 May 2020 - 03:06 PM)

Might be the end of an era. With the rise of streaming, who knows if Transformers will ever be on broadcast TV again.

@  -LittleAutob... : (28 May 2020 - 11:46 AM)

3 seasons on a show is usually enough... but yeah ;-;

@  Roddie Luver : (27 May 2020 - 09:37 PM)

I’m also sad Cyberverse has no season four.

@  Paladin : (26 May 2020 - 08:10 PM)

it's too hugging hot today.

@  -LittleAutob... : (25 May 2020 - 03:39 PM)

I'll agree with you on that.

@  -LittleAutob... : (25 May 2020 - 03:39 PM)

*Figured -_-

@  -LittleAutob... : (25 May 2020 - 03:39 PM)

I fugured

@  Steevy Maximus : (25 May 2020 - 01:37 PM)

I'm actually sad Cyberverse won't get another season. 2 and 3 (of what I've seen) have REALLY nailed it in being fun little actions shows, like the Sunbow series.

@  Rycochet : (25 May 2020 - 01:00 PM)

Yes.

@  Maximus Ambus : (25 May 2020 - 12:52 PM)

I'm waiting for Animated season 4. Am I insane?

@  wonko the sane? : (25 May 2020 - 11:22 AM)

I'm waiting for the next season to show up on netflix.

@  Sabrblade : (25 May 2020 - 10:59 AM)

Many of us have already watched the rest of the Cyberverse episodes since the whole third season aired in the UK last September.

@  -LittleAutob... : (25 May 2020 - 10:18 AM)

@  -LittleAutob... : (25 May 2020 - 10:17 AM)

I just saw the 8th episode... omg

@  Bass X0 : (25 May 2020 - 01:28 AM)

Already seen it online.

@  -LittleAutob... : (24 May 2020 - 09:42 PM)

Who's excited for tomorrow? The only thing that makes Monday worth it is the Cyberverse episodes .-.

@  wonko the sane? : (24 May 2020 - 12:30 PM)

Welcome. I just came into that trick myself recently, so happy to share.

@  Nevermore : (24 May 2020 - 12:05 PM)

Thanks, wonko the sane? for the tip with the cloning. That helped a lot!

@  -LittleAutob... : (24 May 2020 - 12:02 PM)

Heheh.... yes... I don't think a sniper would be very good at making a vaccine... 0.0

@  Nevermore : (24 May 2020 - 11:48 AM)

All right! Cloning my old HHD to an SSD and then swapping out the drive was successful, it would appear. Finally.

@  Bass X0 : (24 May 2020 - 11:30 AM)

Scientist Perceptor is. Sniper Perceptor less so.

@  -LittleAutob... : (24 May 2020 - 10:51 AM)

Perceptor would be more responsible.

@  -LittleAutob... : (24 May 2020 - 10:48 AM)

Oof x~x

@  -LittleAutob... : (24 May 2020 - 08:16 AM)

Totally. And Percy's not even human. XD

@  TheMightyMol... : (24 May 2020 - 06:50 AM)

Can't do much worse than our current government, I say go for it.

@  Sabrblade : (23 May 2020 - 10:13 PM)

Little do we realize that the Perceptor in question is the Mini-Con combiner. :p

@  -LittleAutob... : (23 May 2020 - 10:11 PM)

He would!!!

@  -LittleAutob... : (23 May 2020 - 10:11 PM)

Horrible consequences? I... Doubt that would happen.

@  wonko the sane? : (23 May 2020 - 09:55 PM)

Even if he would come up with the answer by tomorrow.

@  wonko the sane? : (23 May 2020 - 09:54 PM)

I'd rather not deal with the horrible but unintended consequences of that.

@  -LittleAutob... : (23 May 2020 - 09:52 PM)

Lets let Perceptor make a vaccine for COVID-19. Who agrees with me :)

@  -LittleAutob... : (23 May 2020 - 08:43 PM)

I'll take your word for it. =D

@  TM2-Megatron : (23 May 2020 - 08:42 PM)

yeah, they just figured out how to make the Eaglehawk fit a smaller shelf footprint. It's still biggish.

Unfortunately, that makes it look pretty bad compared to the cheap and gigantic "Real Heroes" (or whatever crap brand that is) chopper that's across the aisle from it.

Picked up a Retaliation Duke on clearance at Target.

I have some yellow paint left over after a custom project, and so if the paint hasn't gone dry yet (we've had a heatwave) I'll be painting his hair blonde and having him be a stand-in for Psyche-Out since there isn't any indication of a general-release version of the figure yet.

The problem, however, comes with his over-sized launcher.

I've been wanting a new Fast-Draw and a new Rampart for some time now, and I never got Backblast back in the day.

I can justify the launcher as an over-sized anti-aircraft weapon, but having said weapon is kinda redundant if I don't have a figure to put it with.

Can anyone recommend some dudes I can use as a custom base for either of the three? The alternate head for the upcoming Duke could possibly work for a Fast-Draw, but I'm drawing blanks on what other parts I can pull from either current or upcoming figures.

Thanks.

GI Joe to have 50th Anniversary toyline in 2014?

I haven't seen this reported anywhere else yet, so to be honest I'm not sure where they're hearing it.

If true, that "possibly exclusive to Target" bit is pretty damning. Anyone still denying that Joe is in a slow death spiral after that would just be delusional.

A "Hasbro rep" at Toy Fair was apparently saying as much (not Darryl DePriest, btw).

I don't know, there is just SO much conflicting information and actions from Hasbro this past year, I'm to the point of just saying "eff it" and wait and see what Toy Fair brings. At this stage, we know the only thing Joe is going to have this year at retail is waves 3.5 and 4, the Night Landing (if it ever comes out) and the Eaglehawk. Next spring is probably going to end up either no Joe, or a few months of clearing off any remaining Retaliation product (which wouldn't surprise me given how Walmart is still pushing Amazing Spider-Man and Avengers stuff over a year later).

HOWEVER, a big Target initiative wouldn't surprise me either, given the big promotional thing for Transformers this fall is a direct to DVD feature which is basically only seeing direct support from Target. I'm simply doubtful that Target will be the ONLY venue for Joe next fall.

Star Wars seems to be floundering a bit too and if they're doing that with SW, then what chance does Joe have? So maybe they are just doing some shuffling about of business plans.

I'm seriously doubtful Joe will have much of a presence at all for the next year. I'm betting it'll be like PoC levels of two or three racks at TRU or random Targets and that's it.

Is this being discussed elsewhere? Apparently Harmony Gold is intending to sue Hasbro over Jetfire here.

Thanks Luke. I had just taken a quick glance and only spotted the "is it on HTS yet?" thread...

Anywho... My POC Recondo's head went through some internal mods to make it fit the bodies I tried for a Gung-Ho custom.. but now my Gung-Ho custom has moved past the need for that specific head. So I decided to put it back on Recondo, but with all the mods I had to remount it using hot glue... and the mods helped impressively with his ability to look in front of him!

Fascinating. I wonder how well Joes will fit in the mech. I remember hearing about how it was very difficult to make modern Joes fit in the mech from Avatar... Hopefully this one'll be more efficient.

I like the little walker-mech.

The Avatar mech's a bit tricky for Joes, yeah. Not impossible, but not easily, generally. I'm also really hoping this one works well for 'em. but worst case, the pilot figure shown there looks like it'd fit in with Joe well enough. Same for all the figs, really.

You just needed to use shorter Joes for the Avatar mech - Resolute Gung-ho or 25th Tunnel Rat fit no problem.

These look interesting but ugh - ball-jointed hips remain a bad idea at this scale.

I don't feel it's the ball joints that are the problem (my Star Wars figures with ball hips work fine), it's putting that motherhuging thigh swivel at the hip itself. I know it's "anatomically correct", but doesn't mean it works as a TOY. I think the Star Wars solution of a ball hip with a rotation point at the knee works MUCH better.

Well... I wanted to have Cobras pilot it... :/

Just want a cool, not-a-minor-retool-of-the-Steel-Marauder mecha for Cobra to go toe-to-toe against the Steel Marauder with. Sort of a SNAKE Armor MkII, if you will.
Thought about using one of the Avengers mechs but they never went on sale and are now long-gone...

I'll end up ordering the thing from Best Bay later in the week. If the version is noticeably better than the theatrical version I have on iTunes, I'll probably be happy with the physical version of that.

Also, BBTS is apparently processing orders for wave 3.5, the "Ultimate Wave", so we should be seeing a flood of arrivals next week.

I had just shipped my POL yesterday, but I'll ship again to get the full Joe case (and the new Marvel Legends wave). At less than $10 a figure, it's much preferable to hunting them all down.

That said, I'll still need to keep an eye open for extras of the army-builders. Is the BBTS breakdown accurate; 1 of each character per case?
