It's the movie Lady Jaye that's out now... she was originally going to be a show exclusive (hence the bonus weapons).

Same, and the Night Viper is higher on my list than the Crimson Guard or Data Viper.
Guess I'll roll the dice on retail.

I'm in the opposite boat.
I *want* most of the figures in that assortment, but my Half.com store has been operating below par and so I've had to scale back my collecting budget to compensate; there's no way I can fit a full case into my budget.

With USPS raising its shipping costs to Canada, I'm gonna be rolling that dice too...
But Data-Viper's probably the lowest on my army builder list... He's neat, but limited in functionality. I'm getting one, but just one.
You're far too young to be this bitter and angry at the world....
I'm reading that with Roy's voice. Heck, I read everything you post in a laconic Irish accent.

Speaking as someone who doesn't army build anything, Data Viper's tops on my list and probably the figure I'm most excited for in, like, years. But I have a soft spot for all the '89-'90 Cobras, so I want that Night Viper.

With wave 4 (Ultimate wave), I'm fairly excited/interested in 10 of the 12 figures, so I figured that was a good ratio to justify the expense of a full case purchase. I've been rereading the old GI Joe comics so Kwinn has SOME interest (in that his IS a quality release, though given the option there are about a dozen different things I'd rather take, even an extra CG or CCN or even Data Viper). Budo does NOTHING for me, at all. I think he's a case where hasbro had his tooling done and just dumped him in the assortment (like Kwinn)
But, according to Hisstank, the only thing you can find on shelves are wave 1 figures and the "same old, same old"

I still think a LOT of those people are "seeing what they want to see", not necessarily what's accurately on pegs. Given the naming confusion and all that, I'm very much inclined to say that there were parts of Hasbro's marketing/sales/brand team who didn't realize wave 3 (LJ, etc) saw the kind of saturation it did.

Heh yeah - it doesn't help that the Roadblock's are so similar at first glance and really the upcoming "Ultimate" is mostly a more articulated version of what we've had before.
I'm sure it's regional as much as anything else (and there aren't any currently left on the pegs) but there were plenty of Coltons and Jayes to be had initially. But the extra wave 2 SE/SSs aren't going anywhere - as usual.

Storm Shadow I'll give you, but around here at least, the wave 2 Snake Eyes was EXTREMELY popular, usually among the first couple figures sold of a case it seems. I actually couldn't find him until the 3rd or so refresh here.

The rest... all look good, but I don't really need. Cobra Commander, Storm Shadow, Kwinn... all amazingly done, and I'm glad my passing on them at least means there's theoretically more for those who want them.
SO OKAY IT'S AVERAGE
Virtually every custom as good as the title suggests!

Starting to consider pre-ordering that case from BBTS.
Clearance =/= cancellation.

No, but I love the Tread Ripper's look. Does it have a fundamental flaw I'm unaware of?

This is all my own stupid opinion
It's rather dumb, doesn't look much if anything like the actual vehicle.
The driver sits so far down that if you plug the big gap between the cage canopy (that extends beyond the vehicle's front) he can't see where he's going. The weapons when both are mounted can't rotate 360 any-more since they bash into each other. I'd say it's one of the worst vehicles since the VvsV NEUTRALIZER, the Mole Pod is a better vehicle than this.
It's just a poorly thought out vehicle. I'd say go get a PTE tank or track down a RoC Armored Panther.
It is save-able, if you are prepared to do a ton of scratch building and hours of work
