The Marvel Toy Thread

Blink being my favorite character had me get her right away and since I equate her more with the AoA and Exiles its not a problem. Im almost tempted to get Archangel as he was a favorite too but like Cyke he would be a temptation for more.
But hey just this year has had me buying 4 Legends with both Scarlet Spiders, Silver Sable, and Blink. There have been quite a few others Ive thought of like Cloak and Dagger, they featured in one of my first marvel comics, but I already get too many toys as is.

Yeah, I look at these in the store and $20 a pop is enough to make me second guess buying one. Even worse is just knowing I'm going to get it home, look at it for 10 minutes, take a picture to prove I have it and then it'll sit on display collecting dust in a room I rarely even go into.
But you put Illyana, Blink, Jubilee and Kitty in front of my face and I freaking crack!
Mornings are for coffee and contemplation.

There's a rumoured 3 pack coming out that's Scott/Jean/Logan. A lot of people are hoping for Jim Lee Cyclops (w/ jacket), 90s Jean re-do with pony-tail/animated headsculpt, and obligatory Wolverine (probably Tiger Stripe with unmasked head).
I already have Jim Lee Cyclops (and will also be buying the MAFEX one coming up), the first 90s Jean from the Return of ML, and of course, Apocalypse-wave Tiger Stripe Wolverine, but I would definitely be into that 3-pack. The 80th Anniversary line is shaping up pretty nicely so far.
Right now, all of the classic Gold/Blue-era X-Men are still pretty recent so as to not be insanely expensive, with two exceptions: Jim Lee Cyclops and Rogue, which are only like 2 years old. So getting into a G/B collection is pretty opportune at the moment.

I do have the Toy Biz Bishop so there is a start. Though I do see him being a tad bit more bulky than Hasbro's, there were times it seemed like Bishop did tower over quite a few of the others at time. But if there is that 3-pack coming it would be mighty tempting.

I used to think that I didn't need to replace my ToyBiz Bishop, but I'm glad that I did. Hasbro's colours also "pop" more.
Of course, I also thought my ToyBiz X-Men Classics Cyclops didn't need an update until I got the Hasbro Jim Lee Cyclops.
It's just one of those things. You don't know how much better a figure could be until you have both versions in hand and see the dramatic differences between the two.
Except Rogue and Psylocke. Damn, those were some poopy-faced figures.

I have Magneto, Cyclops, and Apocalypse. They were solid figures.
Well, except for Magneto's translucent plastic hand. It's made of that plastic that deteriorates over time and gets that "sticky" feel to it.
I think I may have kept it anyway because I didn't have the heart to throw it out like I did my 2012-13 era Walmart Jabba the Hutt.

Got Bishop out from storage as well remembering I also got Toy Biz versions of AoA Weapon X, Planet Hulk Gladiator Hulk, and X-23. So glad Hasbro took out toe joints.
I'm cool with this Bishop. the Ball joint hips are a bit off putting and he does look a bit grittier but he's alright. Hulk Has been one of my favorites since I got him, Just wish he had come with an axe or something to go with the shield and armor.
Weapon X is suffereing from crazy Toy Biz face but decent for a one armed Wolvy. X-23 is mostly a good figure too but again the face is an issue. I'm tempted to grab the Wolverine or another current Hasbro version. Though do Hasbro's Lauras have the feet claws?

X-Force Laura, no. Wolverine Laura, yes.
Wolverine Laura is an awesome figure with an awesome unmasked head. I actually prefer it to the masked one.
My AoA Weapon X variant suffers from the claws curving inexplicably into a C-shape. I boiled and straightened them years ago, but they eventually returned to the warped state. That reminds me, I need to fix it again.

So the rest of the X-Men Caliban wave other than Jubes came in today. Not sure I'll keep everyone as I have no attachment to the Reavers and have never had much of a want for Wolverine in his skivies. But Beast is just awesome.
But taking out Skullbuster His Cyborg arm popped out and continues to do so easily. Considering the character could it be intentional?
