@  Nevermore : (19 October 2019 - 04:41 AM)

I manage to argue within the company's own internal logic and point out the flaws, shortcomings and discrepancies between "official company policy" and "everyday company reality".

@  Nevermore : (19 October 2019 - 04:40 AM)

Many of my coworkers are scared to even talk to managers. I often discuss company matters with them I disagree with, and it isn't a rare occurrence that they say "yeah, you're right..."

@  Nevermore : (19 October 2019 - 04:38 AM)

I know how to watch my tone, and I prefer to keep things straightforward and factual, never to attack the person, always the problem itself.

@  Nevermore : (19 October 2019 - 04:37 AM)

The good thing for me is ever since a minor hiccup many years ago when I was still non-permanent, I've always managed to along just fine with my various superiors (I've been through over a dozen already). And that's despite my outspokenness, my blunt honesty and my oftentimes harsh criticism.

@  NotVeryKnightly : (18 October 2019 - 04:28 PM)

@  Maximus Ambus : (18 October 2019 - 04:16 PM)

@  Echowarrior : (18 October 2019 - 09:19 AM)

Amazon in the US has pretty good benefits, though, and even the temp workers had forty hours a week to start with. Even with minimum wage, that's pretty good pay.

@  Nevermore : (18 October 2019 - 01:20 AM)

Oh, the turnover rates are high here as well.

@  TM2-Megatron : (17 October 2019 - 09:45 PM)

Amazon.com and .ca, on the other hand, can be pretty terrible. I know from your squawkbox posts that you guys have your issues with Amazon over there, although you're lucky to have stronger government regulations and a union there. I gather the warehouse workers in the USA and Canada have it pretty crappy, with very high turnover, close to minimum wage pay, and no unions

@  TM2-Megatron : (17 October 2019 - 09:38 PM)

Amazon.de doesn't really have the same issue. I've ordered from them (and UK, FR, IT and JP) several times, and their packaging is much better

@  Nevermore : (17 October 2019 - 05:22 PM)

I'm not sure how it works on the customer's end. As packers, we sometimes have items that are flagged as "overwrap", which means we absolutely have to put them into a box even if they're already in pretty sturdy manufacturer packaging.

@  TM2-Megatron : (17 October 2019 - 03:05 PM)

Yeah, I really do wish amazon had an option to upgrade packaging for an extra buck or something. I hate their bubble mailers

@  Benbot : (17 October 2019 - 07:17 AM)

That's how it works. I just hope my order from Amazon doesn't arrive crushed because they idiotically stuffed it in an envelope.

@  Telly : (16 October 2019 - 10:48 PM)

my walmart is acting true to form. as soon as mirage arrives from amazon, my walmart gets his entire wave in after months of having wave 1 clogging the pegs....

@  Nevermore : (16 October 2019 - 05:18 PM)

I stirred up some trouble at work, complained about the blatant neglect of employee safety. Was asked to take photos and write down the locations so the matter could be properly escalated. Made me feel a little better.

@  TM2-Megatron : (14 October 2019 - 10:01 PM)

I've still got the age-old Rhino sets

@  Telly : (14 October 2019 - 09:09 PM)

i didnt find that at any of the ones around here, so i had to settle for seasons 1 and 2 of duckman for $3

@  Steevy Maximus : (14 October 2019 - 07:45 PM)

Heck, I got the season 2/3 set for $3 (?) from a Dollar General discount bin :p

@  TM2-Megatron : (14 October 2019 - 07:29 PM)

The series is pretty cheap on DVD, too, which at least will work internet or no. The complete series set seems to be OOP, but there's a Season 1 set as well as a combined 2 & 3 set.

Not sure if reported, but the Walgreens Invisible Woman with HERBIE is out and about, for those interested.

Yeah; saw her the other day.

Wish I could find her, getting weary of the hunt in general. $30 to get Adam Warlock and a crucial Mantis BAF piece felt like it was worth avoiding the hassle, as well.

Found Cyclops for $25.00 on Amazon - I figure that's going to be the cheapest that I'll find it.

Is he significantly better than the old ToyBiz Jim Lee Cyclops figure (X-Men Classics line)?

I need the Warlock piece no matter what, but I wasn't jonesing for Cyclops as much as I probably ought to be.  ToyBiz Cyclops wasnt half bad on his skinny-frame.

Most reviews suggest he is, with one or two small complaints about the boot cuffs that fall down (need to be glued to stay in place).

But as they say, a picture is worth a thousand online complaints.

Okay - I'm sold purely on the choice of blue - very appropriate.

It's funny how you can feel something is perfectly fine until you see it next to something better.

I can handle glueing the cuffs into place.

Damnit, this might push me to go track down the short-lived ML Archangel as well (passed since I have the X-Men Classics version as well - also, never saw it in retail).

- Oh wait, I remember what I disliked about ML Archangel - he has that metallic paint job, which I hated.

They really do. It was an impressive advance in articulation at the time, but on any figure smaller than Colossus, everything is just too big.

Good luck, if you decide to go for it. I've been looking for a replacement Achangel ever since my ML collection was stolen a few years back, and the prices are formidable.

The new ML Cyclops is godly. So nice after all the disappointments we've had most of the time (looking at you, Toy Biz). From some angles it's a Jim Lee figure, from others it's a Joe Madureira.

I've pretty much given up even attempting to find that Cyclops. I haven't seen him anywhere locally, and I refuse to give scalpers the satisfaction of caving to their ransom demands.

I'll be perfectly content with the Cyclops that comes in the two-pack with Phoenix, especially since I consider that "my" iconic Cyclops costume anyway.

Oh, and Psylocke is in desperate need for an update.  Yikes, she has not aged well.

They can do better now.  Even a repainted Silk will be better than the last attempt.  Or Silk's head on the Spider-Woman version of the body, if you must have the painted-on costume look.  Stick a sash on the body and you're good.

Found the full Spider-Man Homecoming ML wave at Walmart last night. Be sure to walk around the entire toy section, mine were in this small cardboard display at the end of the stuffed animals aisle (not the endcap).

Hasbro's got a line of 2 packs coming for Marvel vs Capcom Infinite:

http://news.toyark.c...ga-man-x-256170

This one (all of them?) Target exclusive.  Reportedly 3.75", Iron Man would be a reuse, but Mega Man is clearly a new sculpt from Hasbro.  Curious what other figures we'll see, Hasbro has pretty well covered all the Marvel characters, though it'll be neat to see some Hasbro-produced Capcom characters.  Hoping Dante, Strider and Arther get covered.

The post a few downward from that link about wanting the 3 3/4" line packaged in retro-ToyBiz-style card-backing would be awesome.

Of course, I would prefer 6" since I'm not collecting the 3 3/4"-4" line anymore.

Also, it would suck because I would want to buy two sets because why keep ML figures in the package anyway?

Did Hasbro do any Capcom-licensed stuff recently before this? I know there was a Joe Street Fighter line, but that was long ago.
