Don't tell me what to do.

@  Paladin : (24 June 2019 - 04:16 PM)

don't cross the streams.

@  tffan01 : (24 June 2019 - 03:03 PM)

Or is this what AVP meant when he said that condradictory streams formed the JG1 timeline?

@  tffan01 : (24 June 2019 - 02:25 PM)

I don't like that idea.

@  tffan01 : (24 June 2019 - 02:24 PM)

In Ask Vector Prime, it was mentioned that in the Beast Wars 2 universe, Convoys all have Energon Matrices and that when Optimus Primal from the Japanese Beast Wars stream was transported to the Beast Wars 2 stream, his history was subtly altered that he too possessed an Energon Matrix. What does this mean? That Beast Wars 2 is actually not canon to the Japanese Beast Wars?

@  MEDdMI : (24 June 2019 - 08:54 AM)

yeah, I've got a few others that I need to check out/get removed. The nose one is small but annoying since I hit it every time I blow my nose.

@  unluckiness : (24 June 2019 - 08:46 AM)

Try to get a histopath examination if it isn't too expensive over there. It's probably just a mole but I'd think certainty would be better.

@  MEDdMI : (24 June 2019 - 07:59 AM)

@unluckiness I know, plan to get it removed but gotta get an appt first

@  Gizmoboy : (24 June 2019 - 07:50 AM)

That is not a good thing, especially in the long term

@  MEDdMI : (23 June 2019 - 10:17 PM)

So who wants to hear about this mole on my nose that I keep scratching open

@  NotVeryKnightly : (23 June 2019 - 09:24 PM)

Yeah, it's kind of defeating the purpose of making political discussions more restricted if you're just gonna go at it elsewhere on this site.

@  Telly : (23 June 2019 - 07:06 PM)

that would probly fit better in the p & r thread. its there for things just like this

I see, so what the world needs is a Tommy Wiseau streaming service.

@  TM2-Megatron : (17 June 2019 - 11:02 PM)

Well, Conan did start the trend that resulted in a wave of Barbarian films in the mid to late 80s

@  MEDdMI : (17 June 2019 - 10:57 PM)

I keep wanting to read Corman as Conan

@  TM2-Megatron : (17 June 2019 - 10:29 PM)

There needs to be some streaming service that caters to connoisseurs of schlock. Otherwise, a huge part of our cultural history will be wiped away. While many of these films are available on blu-ray, with more coming out each month, it's good they're also available for the streaming crowd.

To all the nay-sayers who keep telling me you can't hide MP-10 Optimus Prime's ridiculous huge feet in truck mode. Well they found a way to do it 20 some years ago...

That's... not exactly an argument against the engineering covering the feet hiding.

In fact, it's more of a shame for the modern stuff.

Not to mention that thing literally has two different 'fronts' to it. And still looks like a torso and legs on wheels. Can't even hide the hands properly.

But, man, they really nailed the back-end of the semi-tru-oh, wait it still looks nothing like a proper semi.

Real semis don't have half the roof missing, and giant robot fists sticking up through that gap?

Anyone else loving the fact MR OP used PowerMaster Prime's cab as an example?

Even back then that toy was a piece of crud (the standalone cab that is, Super Robot Mode PMOP for the win on pure nostalgia and coolness for the time) and I would never use it as an argument for GEEWUN>EVRYTHIN.

Yeah, weird. I've never seen one from above like that.

I have a very special place in my heart for PM Optimus Prime. But it wasn't a MP toy, just like the thread title says.

Yeah, those are some pretty obvious robot legs there. I'm really not seeing this as an example of well-hidden robot parts. Both the truck and the robot suffer from blue rectangles as a compromise between feet and truck. And, for the record, I love PM Optimus -- it's one of my all-time favorite Transformers.

That said, I still think that MP Optimus (both of them, really) could have done a better job with the back half of the truck.

too many gaps

and where's the other wheels back there?

yeah. not feelin it.

if you're goin for straight up accuracy you'd be hard pressed to find ANY optimus that fits the bill

[well...any flat nosed Optimus anyway. The Movie toys nail truck mode pretty darn good, but its an entirely different truck and the transformation is entirely different too. soo......]

Yeah I don't think the original poster is going to be convincing anyone with his witch hunt campaign.

MP-10 has been getting a lot of love for creating a better toy than MP-10, and arguably the best G1 Optimus Prime figure ever done.

To each their own. Plus doesn't this belong in one of the other 2 ongoing MP-10 threads?

Randy

Edit: The fact that PM Optimus only has 4 tires I think completely throws the any valid argument about his rear section being done well (plus it's not like MP Optimus could have tires on his feet like that either, what with shooting for mostly cartoon accuracy).

I don't like the new OP, the MP01 is vastly superior (and proper sized) IMHO. But, to bring up PMOP as a good example... I am sorry, but that toy, especially the US version, was ugly even back in 1988.

Except it doesn't really work like that.

It's about the total piece: how it all fits together, and flows to become one well engineered Masterpiece, as the name suggests.

Showing this toy, and telling us to focus on one tiny piece of it, ignore ALL the plentiful flaws with the rest of it, and even the PLENTIFUL flaws with the piece you WANT us to focus on, just isn't a viable means of proving anything.

You don't like it? Fine. But stop trying to convince us this is an empirical fact, when it's just your opinion.
