@  TheMightyMol... : (21 July 2017 - 04:21 PM)

A nerd.

@  Nevermore : (21 July 2017 - 04:19 PM)

Speaking of, what do you call someone who collects toys of the Marvel character The Collector?

@  Nevermore : (21 July 2017 - 04:18 PM)

What about people who collect the "Die Hard" movies?

@  wonko the sane? : (21 July 2017 - 03:54 PM)

A lot of the die hard collectors don't need to be louder...

@  SHIELD Agent 47 : (21 July 2017 - 03:22 PM)

@Nevermore Benbot means "amped" as in excited. I believe the term is shorthand for (a sound) amplifier.

@  Nevermore : (21 July 2017 - 03:10 PM)

Or is "shorthand" a synonym for "amputated"?

@  Nevermore : (21 July 2017 - 03:10 PM)

Is "amped" shorthand for "amputated"?

@  Benbot : (21 July 2017 - 12:28 PM)

I am amped! But I also have standards.

@  Fear or Courage : (21 July 2017 - 08:38 AM)

I consider Thew to basically be the model toy collector. We should all aim to be so amped about the thing we collect.

@  Pennpenn : (21 July 2017 - 07:21 AM)

And some people are just whiny jerks who like to complain about stuff and don't realise that, so will invent irrational grievances to fuel that need.

@  Rycochet : (21 July 2017 - 06:13 AM)

A lot of toy collectors don't seem to get that the things the collect are toys.and have unrealistic expectations of what's doable in a modern retail environment. You're not going to get a $100 figure's worth of parts and paint for $20 or less and gimmicks are needed tomake the toys actually, you know, fun.

@  Foffy : (20 July 2017 - 09:40 PM)

Not necessarily. With the right condiments, they can taste surprisingly nice.

@  Evac : (20 July 2017 - 09:37 PM)

I think most toy collectors are bitter in some form.

@  Diecast : (20 July 2017 - 09:37 PM)

...or maybe I'm the bitter one?!  Oh no.

@  Diecast : (20 July 2017 - 09:32 PM)

And I don't even mean that everyone should love it all. But it does seem to bring the angrier ones in from the lurking.

@  Diecast : (20 July 2017 - 09:29 PM)

It's these reveals that always remind me how exceptionally bitter a large portion of toy collectors are on other forums.

@  Sean Whitmore : (20 July 2017 - 07:06 PM)

SDCC toy reveals make adults happy by telling them what they can get eventually. Kids don't care what they can get eventually, you make them happy by getting them whatever's available now.

@  Jalaguy : (20 July 2017 - 06:10 PM)

They exist, they just don't show them at SDCC because they assume that the adult fanbase doesn't care about them.

@  Steevy Maximus : (20 July 2017 - 06:03 PM)

On SDCC stuff...I'm disappointed, but not surprised, at the lack of the actual KIDS toys among all the toys for us old men

@  Steevy Maximus : (20 July 2017 - 04:15 PM)

:burn

@  Steevy Maximus : (20 July 2017 - 04:15 PM)

SSA response? "How would we know to un enroll you if you don't tell us?"

@  Steevy Maximus : (20 July 2017 - 04:14 PM)

I'm supposed to un-enrolled in Medicare at the end of the month (36 months post-transplant), but I'm getting a bill for next quarter's coverage.

@  Steevy Maximus : (20 July 2017 - 04:14 PM)

@  Glenn : (19 July 2017 - 11:52 AM)

In to the darkness, snuffing out the light, fighting for the things you know aren't right

@  Noideaforaname : (19 July 2017 - 09:19 AM)

Snuff out the light, claim your right, to a world of darkness!

@  Bass X0 : (19 July 2017 - 08:33 AM)

Then we must block it out, just like Mr. Burns had foretold.

@  TheMightyMol... : (19 July 2017 - 07:23 AM)

Sunlight is overrated.

Your eyes will remain intact behind the sunglasses on top of a pile of ash.

@  Dekafox : (18 July 2017 - 10:27 PM)

What about Ray-Banz sunglasses?

Wouldn't a blessing by Satan pretty much be a curse anyway?

@  Tm_Silverclaw : (18 July 2017 - 06:01 PM)

isn't "Blessed by Satan" an oxymoron?

@  Dracula : (18 July 2017 - 05:11 PM)

basically the sunscreen has to be blessed by satan.

@  MEDdMI : (18 July 2017 - 05:07 PM)

@Dracula what SPF do you nees to not get turned into dust in the sun?

@  Dracula : (18 July 2017 - 04:42 PM)

That's typical summers for where I live. bleh

@  MEDdMI : (18 July 2017 - 04:02 PM)

Isn't it fun when it's so humid, it feels like your eyeballs are sweating?

@  Kalidor : (18 July 2017 - 03:34 PM)

If only we were as progressive in Bea Arthur's day as we are now.

right now I have him sitting in the middle of my toy display, but that's not a good long-term solution since his head pokes in front of the television.

Sentinel-who-looks-like-Vector-but-isn't Prime? I'd lean toward Decepticons. He's been with them for millennia, after all.

Very few movie toys get shelf space here; most go in a box or a drawer.

So Sentinel stands between Leader Starscream and RotF Prime/Jetfire's combined mode.

I don't have the room for faction-specific shelves.

I don't even have faction-specific storage.

I have my Cyberverse Spockinel Prime with my Decepticons, in part because they're outnumbered and he helps even things out.

There seems to be some confusion here, especially on my part. Are we talking about Vector Prime from the Cybertron line or Sentinel Prime from the DOTM line?

If it's Vector Prime I chose Autobots. I have mine on my "Prime" shelf where I have all the good guy leaders. If it's DOTM Sentinel, I can't help you since I never got him. But I'd probably put him with the Con's.

Oh. I answered for Vector (Autobots), and was sort of wondering why it was a question? icon-wildride.gif

For Sentinel, I go Decepticons.

It just ocured to me to ask, but how many figures could have in that display? Out of all the 13 don't we only have Vector Prime and The Fallen? Or were some of the others club/con exclusives?

Wasn't there a BotCon Alpha Trion? That'd fit in.

Also: Nexus Prime, the club combiner.

Well there's Nexus Prime the club combiner, Logos Prime (possible doesn't officially count), and Movie protoform Optimus was repurposed as Prima in the comics (I think).

Anyway, someone should edit the thread title to be correct.

If OP is referring to Vector Prime, then obviously, he's an Autobot Prime.

If he/she's referring to Sentinel, before the movie I had him on my Autobot side; afterwards I placed him firmly in the center of the Decepticon shelf.

I put all 3 of my Vector Primes on my Universe Shelf... The original Japanese one dead center and he's flanked on either side by his Cybertron version and his Universe version ...I don't have the gold one icon-screamer.gif

I don't own a Sentinel Prime that isn't a snowplow...

but I'd put him in a basket in the corner if I did.

Logos Prime does count. He might not have a counterpart in the Prime universe version of the 13, but he is a part of the G1/Cybertron/movie multiverse 13, which is the only version of the 13 that has any toys so far.
