Future allied race perhaps?
Just seems like an odd addition.

Seems random that they'd just introduce a group of friendly Mogu. Especially when they could have easily just had the Vale faction be a group of Pandas.
They also use the Draenai rig. So some of the work is done. There is a female design too. Including new female NPCs in the Rajani.

Well that female Mogul isn't new, she is the same model as Lu'lin from the twin consorts encounter in Throne of Thunder. The model has been around for awhile now.
I don't think we will be getting any allied races for awhile now. BFA is now done, we are not getting an 8.5, and after that the focus will be on Shadowlands. The races we meet there are all likely not allied race candidates, since they are all part of the afterlife, and would have no reason to join a faction.
When we get around to new races again, I just hope they are completely new races again, not variants of a current race in the game. We could still get Naga or Etherals, and they would require a lot more work from the artists then the Allied Races from BFA did to be playable.

Eh. I could see one more round of Allied races in the prepatch to go along with the revamped leveling system.
And just to clarify. I was referring to the twin female Mogu from Throne of Thunder for the female designs. Just brought up that the Rajani have female Mogu as the twins were supposed to be the last after the Thunder King wiped out the other females. The Rajani having females shows that is not the case anymore. So I definitely feel they are at least laying some groundwork for playable Mogu here.

Yup, I think Shadowlands is going to have to be revolutionary to keep things going. Unfortunately, we've seen nothing that suggests that it's not just same old.
What's Blizzard's main money maker these days? Hearthstone? They've basically stopped supporting HotS, and Overwatch 2 has been announced so the first will probably be winding down too.

WoW is doing fine, subs are surprisingly up for an end of the expansion, mostly cause people are stuck at home. Right now it is one of Activision/Blizzard's few big sources of income, and that came from the last investor quarterly meeting, so there is no reason to lie there.
Most of the stuff for Shadowlands that has come out from people int he Alpha has been pretty positive, certainly is in a better place then we were for BfA at this time. It looks like they are fixing a lot of the issues that happened to the classes and systems over the years, and also done a proper revision of the trade skills. Torghast is getting rave reviews, so that looks like it will be a fun addition as well, it is getting more positive talk then Islands and Warfronts did.
As for the High Elf options for Void Elves, I really don't consider it a break the glass moment. High Elf fans are a very loud but, small minority, (some are already complaining they still can't make Paladins on Void Elves, or have a full High Elf Allied race, which will not be happening). This decision actually did manage to piss off a larger part of the player population, that being the militant Horde Blood Elf players. They are furious Alliance got anything like this, and there are way more of them then High Elf Fans. (Interestingly enough, this group of players also has massive crossover with the players who adore Sylvanas and think she can never do any wrong).
Blizzard likely did this as a compromise, since the High Elf fans have been asking for this since even before BC, and know was an easy time to do this with the upcoming customization options. I will say with this Alpha Blizzard has been listening and communication a lot better then they did previously, so this may just be related to that.
