It's been months but I read through Renew Your Vows. I don't get the Battleworld stuff. Is this mini one of the non real dimensions? Love the story but, dang, the daughter should have been May and not Annie. Would have loved it more if it was May for Spider-Girl and not this Annie May Parker AMP thing, sheesh. Bonus for the Power Pack kids. Yay female Beetle too.
I read the new Amazing #1 (ugh, issue reset) yeah, gotta follow the new continuity but whooooa! Prowler! Now that a black Spider-Man that, uh, that actual could pull off. (I recall Todd McFarlane drawing Prowler being all moody and Spawn-ish before, hehe). Would be nice if Rocket Racer could be an alternate Spider-Man. The gay wedding was ok (make it a superhero), seeing the old Horizon cast was nice, Sajani, yiiiiikes. But my favorite for my romantic tin heart is Anne Marie and yoooooow!
The back ups... is Ox and Walrus dead? Please, I hope not. Too many dead folks. Who's the daddy of... who is that anyway? Jessica Drew from 616? The comic strip with the toilet, eeeeeew!
Great Dan Slott issue! Looking forward to the rest!
Renew Your Vows is not the main Marvel universe, no. Every universe was destroyed in Secret Wars and bits of them were turned into territories and mashed together to make Battleworld.
Renew Your Vows was set on one of these territories featuring the Parker who was from that territory (Called "The Regency"), who is different from the Parker in the Spider-Verse Secret Wars book (set in the territory "Arachnia") or any of the other Peter's running around.
At some point the original Marvel universe is going to come back, and it'll be basically the old continuity, so the new Amazing Spider-Man is following up One More Day and Superior Spider-Man and all that. Due to delays, we're not getting the Secret Wars issues that explain how that happens for several more months, so the post-Secret Wars books have already started coming out alongside Secret Wars ones and its kind of a mess right now.
