FEEDBACK FORUM
This is where you can find the trading track record of most traders here. If you make a deal using Allspark BST, PLEASE, Leave Feedback to help the community, and let everyone know how good or bad a certain trader is.
DO YOUR RESEARCH
Making a deal with someone you haven't seen around here before? Do your research. Ask for Trade references or Ebay Feedback. Check them out. If someone is new here, and you have trading experience, you are FULLY ENTITLED TO ASK THEM TO SEND FIRST IN THE DEAL. It is your right as an established trader to protect yourself. Any rational trader will not mind sending first if they are new here. It is common practice as well as common sense. If they do have a problem with it, you may want to steer clear of them. No Deal, no matter how good, is worth losing your stuff over.
BE PATIENT
Sometimes to mail gets held up. If you live in the same country, don't start worrying until 2 weeks have passed. If your package is crossing a border, wait 3. If it's crossing an ocean, wait 4 or more. Usually this will not be a problem, but it DOES happen. So please, try to be understanding.
KNOW THE LIMIT
Of course, being understanding has its limits. If someone is being lazy about sending out your goods, don't be afraid to drop the hammer. If you made a Deal on Friday the 13th, and by Friday the 20th they still haven't shipped, give 'em hell.
(Unless they let you know in advance it would be late.)
If they're still being lazy, post a warning here that "X" Trader is being a lazy trader. Don't be afraid to use your rights as a trader to get your goods moving. You paid for them, fair and square. You deserve prompt service.
COMMUNICATION
Communication is important. VERY Important.
Try to answer your trade e-mails promptly. Waiting for word on your items can be nerve racking, as I'm sure you all know. Be Kind to your fellow traders, they'll remember it. Not only does this make trading easier, but you can make a lot of friends as well.
COMPLAINTS
If you are positive you have been scammed, You can do 1 of 2 things. E-mail the Mod here quietly, and present your case. Or 2, you can post a message on the board giving a final warning to the Trader in question. Give them 3 days to respond and defend themselves. If they do not, spill your guts and let everyone know what happened and why they suck.
INSPECTING MERCHANDISE
Examine your toys carefully. Make sure they are in the condition you have promised them to be. This saves a lot of headaches and arguments, and all it takes is a few seconds.
If you don't know what parts a toy should have to be complete, don't be afraid to ask here, or check out
TFwiki.net or TFU.info which are good resources for finding pics and lists of parts for figures.
SHIPPING ADVICE
Keep your shipping receipts, and receipts for ,oney orders. They may come in handy if you need to prove you shipped something.
If you don't have packing peanuts or air bags, use Newspaper to pack your items.
When shipping a toy with removable parts (Guns, Headmasters, Swords, Fists, etc) Put all the parts that can be removed from the body in a Ziploc bag, and tape the Bag to the side of the box. It makes sure things don't get lost
If shipping Instructions, put them in an envelope, and tape that to the inside of the box.
LEGAL ACTION
If at any point you make the threat of legal action in these forums, you waive the right of any assistance offered by The Allspark. From that point on you will not get any help from Mods or Admins regarding your trade(s). If you make such threats, the matter is now between your attorney and the person you are trading with, so unless you fully intend to follow through with legal action, it is not advisable to make such threats. At that point, The Allspark will not assist you in any way -- NO EXCEPTIONS.
