They dubbed reaction shots and running scenes in the first two UT shows with "huh?" and grunts. very annoying.

Watch it in Japanese with English subs. Karyuudo did all that work for us so that we could. ;)

@  NotVeryKnightly : (30 May 2020 - 12:21 AM)

I'm not in the US and at least some of the episodes seem to work for me. I don't know the actual list of places it's available, though.

@  Shockwave 75 : (29 May 2020 - 10:37 PM)

Unfortunately It seems Cyberverse is only available in the US on YouTube.

@  -LittleAutob... : (29 May 2020 - 09:19 AM)

Yes, and its ongoing.

@  NotVeryKnightly : (29 May 2020 - 01:05 AM)

Cyberverse is already officially uploaded to YouTube.

@  fourteenwings : (29 May 2020 - 12:36 AM)

Spin Master is abridging current episodes of Bakugan Armored Alliance and posting the result on YouTube. Maybe Hasbro does that someday too.

@  -LittleAutob... : (28 May 2020 - 10:59 PM)

I see... :/

@  wonko the sane? : (28 May 2020 - 08:14 PM)

Within the US anyway. Those channels aren't easy or cheap to access in other countries, and their website often region lock content. Tubi is the only good thing on that list: largely identical (but not perfectly so. Damnit. I wanna watch COPS.) country to country and free.

@  Steevy Maximus : (28 May 2020 - 07:24 PM)

So yeah, Hasbro is using plenty of venues to spread exposure of their brands

@  Steevy Maximus : (28 May 2020 - 07:23 PM)

Starz currently licenses Transformers G1 and the GI Joe movie (as well as MLP specials). Netflix has more current series available.

@  Nevermore : (28 May 2020 - 07:21 PM)

Study shows: Holders of the title "world's oldest person" have a severely increased risk of dying.

@  Steevy Maximus : (28 May 2020 - 07:18 PM)

Tubi TV and Youtube both host various Hasbro cartoons. Both are freely accessed and ad supported. Any basic TV package (barring straight antenna) includes channels like USA Network, SyFy and FX, all of which regularly air the films from Transformers and GI Joe.

@  wonko the sane? : (28 May 2020 - 06:18 PM)

I dunno what to tell you, media might be changing slowly, but at least it's still accessible. Even the folks that DON'T get one of the streaming services can watch it on the company website. It's a vehicle for the toy line after all, they need to make an effort to make it as consumable as possible.

@  -LittleAutob... : (28 May 2020 - 05:41 PM)

Well. Thats said, then.... I guess... :doh

@  wonko the sane? : (28 May 2020 - 04:13 PM)

As long as the the cartoons are profitable, then they'll make more. The media it's shown on is completely irrelevant. I say that as a guy whose earliest surviving memory is a big red truck turning into a big red robot.

@  ZakuConvoy : (28 May 2020 - 03:06 PM)

Might be the end of an era. With the rise of streaming, who knows if Transformers will ever be on broadcast TV again.

@  -LittleAutob... : (28 May 2020 - 11:46 AM)

3 seasons on a show is usually enough... but yeah ;-;

@  Roddie Luver : (27 May 2020 - 09:37 PM)

I’m also sad Cyberverse has no season four.

@  Paladin : (26 May 2020 - 08:10 PM)

it's too hugging hot today.

@  -LittleAutob... : (25 May 2020 - 03:39 PM)

I'll agree with you on that.

@  -LittleAutob... : (25 May 2020 - 03:39 PM)

*Figured -_-

@  -LittleAutob... : (25 May 2020 - 03:39 PM)

I fugured

@  Steevy Maximus : (25 May 2020 - 01:37 PM)

I'm actually sad Cyberverse won't get another season. 2 and 3 (of what I've seen) have REALLY nailed it in being fun little actions shows, like the Sunbow series.

@  Rycochet : (25 May 2020 - 01:00 PM)

Yes.

@  Maximus Ambus : (25 May 2020 - 12:52 PM)

I'm waiting for Animated season 4. Am I insane?

@  wonko the sane? : (25 May 2020 - 11:22 AM)

I'm waiting for the next season to show up on netflix.

@  Sabrblade : (25 May 2020 - 10:59 AM)

Many of us have already watched the rest of the Cyberverse episodes since the whole third season aired in the UK last September.

@  -LittleAutob... : (25 May 2020 - 10:18 AM)

*9th

@  -LittleAutob... : (25 May 2020 - 10:17 AM)

I just saw the 8th episode... omg

That's actually now my second favorite version of Aquaman. I still like the David version where he's basically Namor but with a beard and a hook for a hand but man this glory-hog storyteller was pretty awesome...and original!

I would watch an hour long episode about the time Aquaman wore an eyepatch and infiltrated a crew of pirates.

They should have given Aquaman the Minty Hand of DOOM.

D&D has to report to shareholders. Pathfinder only has to impress its neckbeards.

I think in this particular case that's kinda part of the gimmick.
This is pretty much the Adam West/silver age style Batman. The Batman who always has just the right tool in his utility belt and always has the proper training to overcome any obstacle.
(To be honest, if they don't manage to use the Bat-Shark repellent in at least one episode I'm going to a little disappointed.)

Blocking telepathic signals using Tibetan "techniques"?
Disabling a mutagenic doomsday device he's never even seen before in less than a minute while fighting with a Gorilla?

Sure why not... he's Batman.

On the subject of Aquaman however.
I'm actually pretty okay with this incarnation, he's still the most useless superhero ever but at least he hides it under a mask of swashbuckling bravado.
It's worlds better than his role in the Justice League: New Frontier animation.

"Durrrrr hey guys, I know you just averted the apocalypse and rekindled the American dream, sorry I'm late can I be a hero too?"

So...wow.

The Brave & The Bold christmas special was a lot darker than I had expected.

Oh sure it starts off in typical dorky fashion what with the Santa Claus vs The Martians...I mean "Holidays for Neptune" bit and then quickly sinks into the Batman origin story episode, and all that it implies.

The chrstmas special was the first episode I've seen. It was like watching the Venture Brothers.

It HAS to be intentionally overdone for comedic purposes.

Batman leaping from flying saucer to flying saucer stabbing them to death. Riding one into a giant xmas tree and burning it down. Punching the heads off santa robots. Throwing a batarang into a santabot and having him combust, burning the skin to show a Terminator style skull...right in front of little kids.

Nevermind the hilarious over-serious dialogue, like the repetition of "Crime doesn't take a holiday" or whatever it was he said.

I vastly prefer Batman to be dark and brooding. The movie series provided the opportunity for people to take the character seriously and as a mature story. Light stuff like this seems like it sets things back. Yet, the show was hilarious. I'll watch it again next week. Though I wish this was some other hero than batman. I loved the show, but not as Batman.

Yeah, I've never heard of Funhouse either. But according to the JLU Season 2 commentaries, series creator James Tucker seems to have an encyclopedic knowledge of obscure villains. They didn't use Toyman because they're making an active effort to steer away from villains who have been used extensively in Bruce Timm's DCAU.

And yeah, this episode was kind of a shock to me. I was expecting an average episode of the series, but then, seeing "The Mark of Zorro" on the marquee was like a punch in the stomach. I wouldn't say this was the best adaptation of Batman's origin, but it was very effective for this episode.

Oh, and for the longest time, I hated those shoulder pads on Red Tornado, but now that we know why they're there, I think they're kinda cool icon-ironhide.gif

People don't need dark and brooding in these trying times though. Dark and brooding batman is poser batman to me. He becomes redudant and stale after a while... I don't like to quote PvP, but dark and brooding leads to this.

Before I add wnything to this conversation, let me say this: I do not care for Batman. He's just kinda boring. However, Begins was very good and the Joker is my favorite bad guy ever (the Mark Hammil version mostly, haven't seen Dark Knight yet but it looks pretty good).

Now I'll say this: I saw the Aquaman episode. I also don't like Aquaman. But this...was great! It made me laugh and kept me interested!

While I can understand that, even as far as Obscure villians go; Fun House really just feels like a poor man's Toyman. Both being men the dress up as Jesters and used toys and robotics for their crimes. Just feels like they went with a stylized Superfriends Toyman and changed the name for some weird reason.

On this, I found out something interesting lately... Fun Haus (correct way to spell it)'s motive operandi isn't even the Toyman's. Some people on Toonzone mentioned that there was a evil toy company in the DC universe with the same evil toy motive called Fun Haus Inc. : ) Talk about obscure references... they just anthro-ed the company into a character.

Yes they are, although the Batman/Red Tornado episode was significantly more serious than previous episodes.

That being said I've loved every episode I've seen.
It's not my favorite take on the Batman but it's fun and enjoyable, and in the end I guess that's what matters most.
