I found a site with the music on it and was whisked back to the day it came out. First, the music is awesome, even today. It also had amazing action, the ability to upgrade your mechs, and a lot of other awesome stuff in the one player mode. It had Anime-ish faces before those were considered cool, and just a lot of hidden fun. (The destruction moves that I didn't know about until I started using the Internet and found them at GameFAQs, for example)
I'm hoping someone else here remembers that snobby French guy who was using Chronos and whose tagline was "I will stop your clock". Or the joy (?) of getting your Jaguar so powerful that you could do three of those Jaguar leaps in a few seconds.
