Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo's Dungeon

But seriously.. I can't be the only one playing this game? It's a Rougelike or Mystery Dungeon game, which ever you prefer to call it.
Basicly the story is Cid the Treasure hunter and his partner Chocobo get transported to a town called LostTime. Everytime the bell of Oblivion rings, the people lose their memories.
They don't want to remember, so see this as a good thing, but Chocobo goes into their memories in attempts to recieve them. *Each time is a mystery dungeon*.
Great game.. but some of it is -evil-. Like the dungeon that only allows you to have 1 HP. Or your starving so your loosing HP every step.

I play it too. No worries. A lot of us do. Frankly, After FF6 ... I never found any other normal FF game worthy of my time. I found that the Spin offs are more interesting.
Chocobo's dungeon is just pure gold, seriously. I love the little bird. I got my copy on the day of release and there was line up to get it at EBgames. I was lucky to get one of the last 2 copies the store had.
Oh .. and Mog is REALLY MEAN!! Level a job all the way to level 8 and you'll see what I mean.

Plus, the last console roguelike I got was Baroque. And I still don't know how pleased with that I should be.

You picked a bad time to stop.

Oh not really. I played FF7 to some extent and thought it was horrible. I played FF9 a bit, hated it ... and FF12 was just FMV's in the first 2 hours I played it and stopped playing. I mean cmon. You start the tutorial thing, you get like 15 minutes story, 5 mins playing. Then you start in Damasca or whatever, you change character for some reason, kill 3 big rats, then story for 20 mins, then you get to play another 6-8 mins, then more story. WTH!. Game is picking up dust in my game collection. Worst $40 spent ever. All the hype around it for nothing. So I'm not eager to try 13 at all.
Nah, I didn't miss much. This is why I enjoy the Pre-PS era FF remakes these days. FF4 and FF6 being the best of the first six. And still enjoy playing the 1st one.

Horrible plot.
Plot point stolen almost directly from another and better game. PS2
The "Tape down X" to play tactics.
The obviousness of being unfinished. *useless Tissue and never alble to finish the soldier collection, Aries Ghost and Better weapons in later disks*
Seperoth
Cloud being a wishy washy. *I know why.. still didn't like how they handled him*
The materia system making classes pointless.
The Materia was almost good.. but it's a slightly modified version of 6's magic system anyways.
