Sony E3 Press Conference

on the momentum that they're starting to build on both the PSP and
the PS3... I expect quite a bit of Blu-Ray talk and how great they did
with that... We should see Killzone 2 and God of War 3 in some form
or another.
The biggest thing is that they need to date some of their bigger games
and actually get them into the hands of consumers. We need to know
when HOME, Little Big Planet and other things that will see consoles
are actually going to be able to be played. For too long they've been
talking about how wonderful everything will be and telling us to just
wait for it, now they really need to tell us when everything will be out.

And unless Sony gets Home out the door now--like TODAY now--it's kinda old news, considering the 360 may beat them to the punch.
Only if they beat Spore to retail.
And then go back in time and erase Halo 3 from existance.
Except for that online magazine thing that they're using to charge for demos.

I see behind a thousand lies that you try to hide
I bleed inside: you left your knife but I'm still alive
I...love the way you kill me
I love the way you watch me die
Life or death a bullet to the chest
I'd do it again...
Just when I think I've cut you out
You come with open arms to drag me down

And they announced a Resistance game for the PSP. I don't own a PS3 but from what I've seen I like Resistance the most out of the current FPS out now.

Screw you, FFXIII.
But in the current, digitized world, trivial information is accumulating every second, preserved in all its triteness. Never fading, always accessible. Rumors about petty issues, misinterpretations, slander... All this junk data preserved in an unfiltered state, growing at an alarming rate. It will only slow down social progress, reduce the rate of evolution. You seem to think that our plan is one of censorship. What we propose to do is not to control content, but to create context.

Screw you, FFXIII.
So... uh... I take it you're extremely happy that Sony announced a game they'd already announced via flyer included with the PSP edition of the franchise, and extremely upset that Square made one of their most popular (and expensive-to-make) titles multiplatform so more people could play (and buy) it?

The big rumor is that KHIII will be on Wii. Not sure how much I believe it, but... I wouldn't be too shocked.

:sigh:
I'm kinda pissed I'm going to have to buy a second-hand non-gimped PS3 when I finally take the plunge.
They should've added the emotion chip back in since they cut costs instead of killing it entirely.

I've known people who owned a Wii and didn't even realize it was backwards compatible with GameCube. They didn't even care, because it was GameCube. The PS2 is still relevant.
Oh well, being able to download TV and movies onto my PSP is cool. Too bad I'm already happy with just ripping the DVDs I already own....

I think you answered your own question.
It's stupid and short-sighted, but I think they're saying, "hey, we'll just keep selling PS2s, which don't lose money and which we don't have to pay to market."
Which may be true, but it means their flagship PS3 sales suffer, and Blu-Ray gets fewer new adopters as well. It's one less reason for someone to upgrade.

Actually, I have never heard that many people talk about KH3 being a PS3 exclusive. I was under the impression that the title is considered/rumored widely to be a multiplatform release.
Then again, Disney and Sony seems to be good pals........
