Great news. Nintendo's saving the videogame from contracting into a ghettoised nerd hobby, like comic books and other marginalised forms of entertainment.

It'll happen as soon as the second person logs in. All they need is someone to say it to...

It shouldn't be a surprise, (I thought they already said they're working on a Wii Zelda) but it was disappointing not seeing anything.

Not so much as a peep.

It takes several years for them to make new Mario and Zelda games. I'll be surprised if we see a second true Mario game on Wii, and a Wii Zelda might not even have any showable development on it done for another year or two. Look at the last two Zelda games; WW was released near the start of the GC's life and TP at the end, and held over so a port could use as a Launch title for Wii, which I think was a good move as it gave the Wii its first killer App. So I'm not surprised we haven't heard anything about the next games in those series, even if they do have something planned.

It's not that Nintendo doesn't care to put any effort into their E3 presentations. That was a high-end, well-practiced, and thoroughly-calculated presentation that accomplished exactly what Nintendo wanted it to.
Unfortunately for us, Nintendo wanted more "Wii is casual and accessible and fun for everyone" stories from the parts of the mainstream media that only ever pay attention to video games during E3. It's dull as hell to any hardcore gamers, but Nintendo figures that we'll go apejive over a new Zelda or Mario game whenever they show it to us, while USA Today isn't going to write an article to hype up Wii Music any time other than E3 or the week that the game is released.

Hell any new stuff would be good, not just resting on your laurels.
Actually im glad they are not doing another metroid game. The series has been over used and is like mainsteam now. Not good. And I dont think I want to see another 1st person shooter/adventure game. I want 3rd person damn it!! but as a fanboy of the Big N. I really wasnt all that impressed with this conference. Other then GTA for the DS of course!
VGM out...

I think I'd like another 1st person game because the control system is screaming out for it, it would work so well. However my problem is we've not had many great ones, Too many world war 2 shooters (and most of them were crap), Red Steel (which was ok) and Metroid (which was awesome), there should be some more because it works so well.

Maybe the Conduit won't disappoint.

Your scientists have yet to discover how neural networks create self-consciousness, let alone how the human brain processes two-dimensional retinal images into the three-dimensional phenomenon known as perception. Yet you somehow brazenly declare that seeing is believing!

to 7:30PM PST.
I don't know what all this entails, but I do know that RawMeatCowboy from
GoNintendo is attending and it should be interesting. I don't believe this is
the Nintendo Development meeting (where we got the first confirmation on
Smash Brows Brawl 2 years ago) but probably just an US TOO from smaller
developers working on the Wii and DS...

That sensor thing hooks the bottom of the Wiimote, wouldn't it make the nunchuk useless?
I mean unless there's a spot where you can hook up the nunchuk as well.
