@  Paladin : (26 January 2021 - 10:08 PM)

Scarecrow plays the LONG game fighting Batman.

@  Steevy Maximus : (26 January 2021 - 09:17 PM)

I had to "delete" the download, and now the video is working correctly (as a streaming view).

@  Steevy Maximus : (26 January 2021 - 09:16 PM)

Strangest error? I downloaded the rental for Batman: Soul of the Dragon, and when I went to play it, it started an episode of Scarecrow And Mrs King. That show IS apparently part of my library (probably snagged it when Apple offered premiere episode for free), but I don't recall ever claiming it....

@  Patch : (26 January 2021 - 06:44 PM)

Not any harder than anyone else with an accent.

@  Nevermore : (26 January 2021 - 12:47 PM)

Question to all the native English speakers: Those of you familiar with Australian singer Sia - how hard are her vocals for you to understand?

@  TheMightyMol... : (26 January 2021 - 04:44 AM)

Calm down, Dirge.

@  Paladin : (25 January 2021 - 09:44 PM)

death comes for us all. what difference does it make how?

@  ▲ndrusi : (25 January 2021 - 06:26 PM)

It's only murder and that is all, why should I feel the way I do...

@  Rufus : (25 January 2021 - 01:37 PM)

It's only murder if it comes from the Murder region of France, otherwise it's just suspiciously deceased.

@  TheMightyMol... : (24 January 2021 - 09:17 AM)

It's only murder if they find the body, otherwise it's just a missing persons case.

@  Telly : (24 January 2021 - 02:31 AM)

so light yagami is a BAD role model? but ive already got a death note...

@  PlutoniumBoss : (23 January 2021 - 11:43 PM)

Do you always model proper behavior after anime characters?

@  Tm_Silverclaw : (23 January 2021 - 06:34 PM)

Don't forget Yu-Gi-Oh and the Millennium items.

@  NotVeryKnightly : (23 January 2021 - 02:51 PM)

There was a five season anime with wearing relics as the premise.

@  PlutoniumBoss : (23 January 2021 - 01:16 PM)

You don't wear relics, you enshrine them.

@  wonko the sane? : (22 January 2021 - 06:23 PM)

Wrong holey... and probably the wrong way to dress too.

@  Rycochet : (22 January 2021 - 06:09 PM)

If your underwear is old and holy, it is considered a relic and should be protected with your life.

@  wonko the sane? : (22 January 2021 - 02:04 PM)

That's the argument we keep making: but I still need to wait till feb 8th minimum to replace my holey underwear.

@  TM2-Megatron : (22 January 2021 - 01:57 PM)

Personally I'm glad Ontario wasn't so misguided as to try to define what is or isn't "essential" for big box stores like Walmart to sell. If someone is stuck at home literally for weeks and unable to go out, who's to say a new TV or game console isn't essential (if only for one's sanity) if theirs breaks down?

@  TM2-Megatron : (22 January 2021 - 01:55 PM)

Although fortunately, Ontario's daily cases and positivity rate has been on a steady decline for the past week or so; if they can get the vaccinations back on track, there is some hope.

@  TM2-Megatron : (22 January 2021 - 01:53 PM)

And as far as Canada's lockdowns go, I'm guessing none of them will end until late March, or perhaps the beginning of April. What small businesses that might be left at that point will be allowed to open for their going out of business sales.

@  TM2-Megatron : (22 January 2021 - 01:52 PM)

Unfortunately the CEO of Target Canada made more money by running the company into the ground than he ever would have had he made it a success, so there was zero incentive to succeed.

@  TM2-Megatron : (22 January 2021 - 01:51 PM)

Target made some serious mistakes when they came into Canada. They focused on opening like 150+ stores within a 2 year timeframe and had no online infrastructure whatsoever; their website literally only contained legal blurbs and a store locator... lacking even the ability to see what they sold in stores, or if it was in stock and, if so, where. They should have started with 1/3 the number of stores with a full online experience including online shopping and inventory checking

@  wonko the sane? : (22 January 2021 - 12:35 PM)

See; quebec is under a new lockdown, have been since the 26th. It's supposed to end the 8th of february, but probably won't. Stores are only supposed to sell necessities (in deference to the stores which are closed.), but the quebec government made no effort define what counts as a "necessity", only punished them for getting it wrong. So I can buy all the candy I want, but not underwear, boots, winterwear, small appliances. Hell, my brother had to explain why he wanted a FUSE when he needed to fix his stove shortly before new years.

@  wonko the sane? : (22 January 2021 - 12:31 PM)

Targets don't exist in canada anymore. They lasted like 3 years before abandoning the market. But even if they WERE still here: they would be under the same poorly defined restrictions as walmart.

@  -LittleAutob... : (22 January 2021 - 12:10 PM)

Target's better-

@  wonko the sane? : (22 January 2021 - 07:51 AM)

HA! my walmarts can't even sell underwear. There's no clearances going on up here.

@  Steevy Maximus : (21 January 2021 - 11:31 PM)

Check your Walmarts: Post-Christmas clearances are going on and I snagged Need For Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered for Switch for only $5 (YMMV)

@  ZakuConvoy : (21 January 2021 - 03:15 PM)

I thought of more!

I got bored with Final Fantasy VI. Could not get into it. I got into like every other FF(I even enjoyed FFX-2. The gameplay was kind of interesting and fun enough in itself.)

I loathe Guitar Hero and Rock Band, and the early teenage boy scum it brings along with it. I just don't enjoy the lack of mental capacity it requires. There's no question as to how to do it, you just keep doing it over and over again until you master it. Rock Band is better than Guitar Hero, though.

Chrono Trigger.

It's almost universally loved, but I didn't get the hype.

And I always hate anything Time Travel related.

On the flipside, I loved Chrono Cross, but everyone hated it.

Another universally loved game that didn't live up to the hype for me is Final Fantasy XII.

When it came out, everyone was raving about how this game will save the franchise.

10 hours in of running around doing NOTHING, I said hug it and haven't played it since.

And if I wanted an MMO Battle System, I'd buy an MMO, Square. This is why FFXIII going multiplatform isn't such a big blow for me.

I have to agree on the FFXII thing. If i wanted an MMO style grind, i'd reactivate my WoW account. Especially since WoW at least allows a 5 person battle party!

I liked FFXII - never did play any MMORPG in my life so the experience was fresh for me. Although I do object to featureless dungeons miles long with tough status affecting enemies.

Just because you can't win doesn't mean you stop working.

What? He's just standing there doing nothing like any other action figure. I'm not getting this joke at all.

Final Fantasy XII: To be honest I expected to hate/dislike this game. I really did. ONLY reason I purchased it was because I actually had the extra cash, and I wanted the collector's edition with the specail DVD. I figured it'd be impossible to find by the time it's price went down, (which turned out to be wrong), and so I picked the game up.

Now spending that much on a game, I'm at least going to play it for a couple of hours. So here I go playing it...

I got hooked. Best Final Fantasy game I've played in a while, and it's funny because I absolutly HATE MMO's. I think the reason this didn't bother me was because you level a LOT faster then you would in an MMO. You could use Quickinings to 'cheat' battles, many times killing foes that are suppose to be too strong for you, AND that you could 'pause the world' when opening your menu ring.

I especally loved the Hunts. It became a big thing for me to keep checking for new hunts, then going out and kicking the monster's ass. I was actually sad when the hunts ended. (Yes I beat Yizamat)

But that's just me. I'm not going to ridicule people who hate the game.

So we are breaking down the Zelda's huh?

Ocarina of Time: This is by far my favorite Zelda ever. Yes including the top down ones. (Then again I'm rather weird like that as my second favorite Zelda is Link's Awakening. Man I wish you could play the Ballard of the Wind Fish in OoT...)
I loved the story, I had fun in the dungeons (And while the Water Temple isn't my favorite, I never had a problem beating it.) Everything from the boss fights to the characters you meet. I just loved the entire ride that was OoT.

The only problem I have with it now is that the graphics are INDEED dated. That's why I'd love a remake.

Majora's Mask: It was a fun yet odd little game. I enjoyed the transformation masks (Gorgon spining is the best), and Firece Deity Link is awsome. I played it, did all the little quests. But in the end It's just not 'that' good. I will need to replay it someday however.

Windwaker: And so I make my list after all. >_<

Ok first off, what I did like: I liked the graphics. I liked how people had facal expressions. I liked (most) of the boss fights. I liked the battle system updates.

I hated just about everything else....

Ok the major failure is the FRAKING SAILING. I H.A.T.E. the sailing. It's the worst concept for a game EVER. Ok so I play this song and now I... sit and watch my boat move across the ocean for five minutes?! What the FRAK is this? With Epona I at least got to point her in the direction I wanted, and could even do a bit of a speed up with the carrots. I was at least doing SOMETHING. Instead now I just wait like I'm watching a loading screen. That was STUPID Nintendo!

And -NO- it does -NOT- get better with the cyclone spell. I also love how people kept telling me "Well you don't HAVE to just sit there. You can stop to check out those gaurd towers and such along the way"

Yeah THAT'S what I want to do. Waste MORE time getting to my next destination. Also you can't map warp? (Go off the bottom and arrive at the top) Even LAMER. Now don't get me wrong. I understand why it was done that way. But from a gameplay standpoint. It's very ANNOYING. All I needed to get was a 'speed boat' type of item. That would have been cool and fun as heck. But it never happened.

Also, we have like what? 30 islands? How many are actually USED in the plot? Like eight? And most of them are barely the size of a house. This is LAME. For what few LARGE islands you find too, most of them aren't that interesting.

The dungeons. Really uninspiring. I was left with an empty feeling after each one, and while the last two 'escort' dungeons were interesting. They weren't needed.

The Story never grabbed me. The only part that I found actually pretty cool was HIGHLIGHT to view:
When the Dragon tried to burn Gannon to death.

Finally, and there could be a couple of things I'm forgetting, The final boss battle was a joke.

HIGHLIGHT to view:
After the Puppet Ganon boss fight, which was awsome, I expected an epic showdown between Link and Gannon. But low and behold I start the battle and I get: "Hey Link! Push the A button to do the back attack! Ok now hold up your sheild so you can deflect me arrow. NOW Hit Gannon! Ok, you win.

The final boss battle felt like a TURORIAL battle. That's not how it's suppose to work. I'm suppose to have more of a challenge then THAT.

I HATE that game so much. But I realize I'm in the minority. Many love it, many love the sailing which is the main thing I hated. I've accpeted that not many will share my veiw that Windwaker sucks. But sadly I can't help but feel a little more dead inside everytime someone says they think it's the best Zelda ever.

Twlight Princess: This game, as I've mentioned, helped wash the horrible taste of Windwaker out of my mouth. It was a fun decent game. I ended up liking Midnia (though I hated her at first), I enjoyed my time as a wolf. I liked the Dark feel to the game. The dungeons and boss battles were generally interesting and fun. The final boss battle, while not really 'hard', was still a blast to play.

The problem is, that it does try too hard to be OoT. By the end of the game it just felt to generic. Though I give props to the Ice 'Dungeon'. That was a really good idea (how it was handled) in my opinion.

It's a secret to everybody

Yeah I beat Omega. I beat all the summons too. I had an excalibur, everyone's LP board maxed out, and my main party (Vaan, Balthier, Ashe) at level 99. (Fran was level 54, and Basch and Penello were only 16/17. Didn't care to use them except to waste their MP trying to chain more Quickinings together)

About the only thing I didn't do was try to hunt down all the 'rare' monsters.

That's an interesting party, in fact, the exact opposite of mine. I've read that the idea party is Basch, Ashe and Penelo. Ashe and Penelo for their high magical growth, and Basch for the fact that he had 1000 hp higher than Vaan and Balthier, with Fran being somewhere stuck between magic and hitting.

Didn't get the Zodiac Spear either, huh? Man. Now I want to play the game. WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?!?

As far as Zelda games go, I rather liked Phantom Hourglass, since it wasn't as complicated as other Zelda games can be. The sailing was pretty fun in that game. ^_^

FF games that I didn't like that much: FFVIII, FFX, FFXII, FFIII DS. I managed to beat 8, and it was ok but not that good. 10 and 13 I tried to play but got bored and left them behind. Mostly I got annoyed with the insanely pretty boy/girl characters and the same character types (eg. princess in disguise). FFIII would be better if there were at least one save point somewhere in the dungeons. Having to redo the whole thing 10 times from teh start to take out the boss with just the right team combo got too annoying.

Other games: Most tactic, sim, and dungeon crawler games. Though this is a personal preference, the fights/process just takes too dang long. GuitarHero is ok, but the guitar just hurts my hands too much. I'm eagerly awaiting the drum set for GH4... I'll agree to GTA, too. Its ok for a bit but gets repetitive fast.

I don't get the appeal of The Sims. Zodiac can play it for hours and hours.

Zodiac also loves Twilight Princess. I have yet to try it, but I bet it takes a year for me to beat it because I only play an hour or so at a time, and it is freakin' huge. I've watched him play sooooo much...

You missed the point, then. The draw is in the story. The combat is neat and all with the Djinn system and ability to mix-and-match to change classes, but the biggest part of the game is the story.

Well then I missed the point because it was poor in it's execution. If I wanted to read text boxes for 10, 15, 30 minutes at a time, I'd just read a book. This is not a proper venue for this. It was just boring.

I enjoyed Golden Sun, but I cannot agree more with this. It's bad enough in console games where you can spend more time watching cinemas than playing, but to spend just as much time if not more reading while playing a portable game is unacceptable. This is one of the many reasons I don't play games as much as I used to. I just want to play some damn games, not have to worry about setting aside hours at a time to play a game so that I can get a chance to save and not waste all my progress.

I don't mind reading, I don't mind story, I EXPECT it in an RPG, but don't give me ten minutes of text right before a big boss fight, many levels from a save point, and expect me to come back when I have to shut the game off because the neighbors dog caught fire.

As far as games that don't live up to my expectations, I've never been that big a fan of the Virtua Fighter series. At the beginning, it was simply too slow, and too full of "realistic" martial arts, I want my projectiles, damn it. However, I remember giving 4 a chance, since I had become accustomed to and enjoyed 3-D fighters at that point. I still don't see what's so "deep" about it's fighting system, considering it still only had two real attack buttons, which is fine, but it was still too damn slow.

Tekken may be button mashing with little depth, but I've enjoyed that series far more that VF.

Also, Final Fantasy VIII.

I've played through it Six times or so now, each time trying to find SOMETHING redeeming about the characters and finding nothing worthwhile.

The magic system is bulljive, too.

And as for Final Fantasy VI/III? I think it's nostalgia-goggles. Kefka's awesome, but it's just not the be-all and end-all Final Fantasy many, many fans make it out to be, ESPECIALLY after the juggernaut of popularity Final Fantasy VII enjoyed.

But in the current, digitized world, trivial information is accumulating every second, preserved in all its triteness. Never fading, always accessible. Rumors about petty issues, misinterpretations, slander... All this junk data preserved in an unfiltered state, growing at an alarming rate. It will only slow down social progress, reduce the rate of evolution. You seem to think that our plan is one of censorship. What we propose to do is not to control content, but to create context.

Except 7 was a horrible game and horrible story and had no real characterization at all.

Kinda like Transformers Energon.

Also, Final Fantasy VIII.

I've played through it Six times or so now, each time trying to find SOMETHING redeeming about the characters and finding nothing worthwhile.

The magic system is bulljive, too.

if you can see this, i apologize for the above tweet, i was young and stupid and had nothing of value to say. please support lgbtq rights and listen to women's voices. that's all that really matters now. the right is evil, and should be opposed. thanks.

Golden Sun's story was boring as hell, it gave me a headache at times to read all that crap.

I beat the first one and got halfway through the second before I quit, I also found quite silly that Felix was a mute in the sequel and he spoke in the 1st then you meet Issac in Golden Sun 2 and he speaks when he was a mute in Golden Sun 1.
