Hoping some of you Sony fans can help me out here.
I'm considering purchasing a PS3, but am only interested in the 80GB model (for backward compatibility, etc.) I understand they had a Metal Gear Solid 4 edition that came and went pretty fast - Was this limited? And if so, are they going to put another 80GB model out? Or are these gonzo for good?
BTW, I already have a Wii, so please don't tell me to save my money and get one of those instead. I love Mario Kart as much as anyone else

As for the usual 80 gig PS3, I haven't seen anything about them officially discontinuing it, but I'm not coming up with anyone offhand with them in stock. I didn't do an exhaustive search, however.

True, your chances of finding one are limited, but it might be worth your time, if you're interested in backward compatibility. The 60GB version uses an actual chip from the PS2, to emulate the PS2. They discontinued it for the cheaper 80GB model, which uses software to emulate the chip.
Go there to pull up your software, if interested.
True, the 60GB will only come w/ one non-Dualshock controller & likely no games. Still, it might be worth your time to look for.
And as for Hard Drive space, if that's an issue. All you need to do is get a formatted HD that's compatible. Just load it in, and the PS3 will automatically make the switch.
And yes, I was too lazy to come up with a decent TF related forum name, and just *GASP* used my own.

One last question, more specifically now to the PS3 in general:
Do any of you use a Harmony remote from Logitech? And of so, are you using it to control the PS3? It works if you buy the Nyko IR remote and use it's adapter, but I'm curious to see what you think of it, if you're using this config.
