My job for today canceled at the last second, and since I was all set for heavy labour I decided to put it into the garden. There's a little cinderblock wall which we're going to double the height of (one row of bricks to two.) and then cement together.
So, this morning I roved out in search of materials. I needed sand and gravel. Got both. In the process of shlepping that stuff from the car to the yard: the wheel barrow I was using (and was going to use to make the cement in.) bottomed out. No longer water tight. Shit. Immediately get back into the car and hit up two stores searching for a barrow. Did you know you have to assemble them yourself? I did not. So add "lego with yard tools" to the schedule.
So, I was supposed to be mixing cement at 10.30 am, roughly. Instead, It's half noon and I'm watching a hugging video on how to assemble a wheelbarrow because the instructions hugging suck. But I get it. And it's pretty solid too.
Throw myself at the cement right away, knock out two batches and manage to get halfway through the garden wall before I run out of material.
All in all, not bad, pretty proud of myself. Gonna get some more cement and fixings and do the other half early next week. Maybe monday. It'll be quick and easy since I don't need to run around to get more tools this time.
