I think this existed. I'm pretty sure, anyway.
There was this old video that I remember watching as a part of some sort of mental health or emotional intelligence learning class. This was around 1995 when I was in the third grade or so, but it might have been before or after that. I think the video looked like it was made in the 90s, but it might have been made during the late 80s. It had enough production value in it that it wasn't just something my school had made. Some educational outfit or PBS or something made it.
It was about this girl who got transported to a magical land. Kind of like Alice in Wonderland. Unfortunately, I don't remember anything about the actual magical land. It might have just been a different version of Wonderland as far as I remember. And she had this amulet or medallion which was...basically just a glorified mood ring? I think this amulet basically just showed what emotion she was feeling, but it also might have amplified it? The video itself was all about learning about emotions. Like anger, happiness, etc. I think there was some villains trying to stop her from going home, but I don't remember for sure. She might have been mostly fighting herself.
And I remember...horses. Like, a herd of horses running across the field. I seem to remember the horses were...advising her somehow? Or maybe she was supposed to save this herd of magic horses? It was probably a metaphor for something but I cannot remember what exactly.
So...that's probably pretty vague, but hopefully someone can think of something. Trying to find old education videos is probably even worse than other kinds of media. Thanks for any help. Don't know why, but this has been bugging me lately.
