I'm making progress with tweezers. It's no great loss given Dai Atlas minor roles anyway, I really do prefer this mold for Titans Overlord and Sky Shadow,

Had that happen once. Drilled a 1 mmhole in the peg and superglued a rivet into it for something to pull on.

I'm sad there's no plans for new Brawn and Gears. They're the only figures I need to finish my Season 1 Autobots once I get Huffer.

Well, I have a fantastic upgrade kit for CW Menasor, but if Hasbro can make a new backwards-compatible Motormaster that looks good in all three modes, I will happily buy it.

If they're doing a new Motormaster/Menasor torso, they'll probably re-release the limbs as selects with more G1 accurate heads and minor retooling. I think the Breakdown mold could do with a do-over as much as Motormaster, but that's probably too big an ask.

If they reissue Metals Jaguar I'll lose it

It will be great to have a new TM Megatron, too. Really, as long as they don't have the same flaky chrome I'd probably rebuy all of them.

I wonder how accurate those prices are. $50 is steep for a Mega reissue. Even for TM Megatron.

Yeah, IIRC, Hasbro was looking for the Metals Jaguar mold back in 2006 for the 10th Anniversary BW line, and it was apparently gone by then.

I think the concept of being educated and being able to educate is something that more people need more of in their lives.

No, we don't all know everything but we should spread and share that what we do know.

If I'm consistently misspelling a word, I would want and expect people to correct me as should I imagine all decent people who know the value of good literacy.

Its just arrogant laziness to know you're spelling a word incorrectly and not correct yourself or ignore the advice when people do tell you how to spell a word correctly.

I love the CW combiners, but there's room for improvement.  But man, I hate to see Hasbro repeating themselves so soon.

Pretty much my reaction.
I had the same reaction, and then realized CW is 5-6 years old already.

Also one a year sounds better then doing as many as they can in a year.

This is also true.

It feels very recent, but a big part of that is that the last several lines feel very samey despite the obvious differences in execution. Some of that's the continued drawing from the same pool, some of that's the lack of striking or defining fiction I associate with it (part of THAT is me just not really following it much; going from terrible PWT fiction to middling WFCT fiction isn't quite helping either). It's a far cry from going from Animated to Prime, or even from Prime to RID2015.

I also agree that doing one a year makes for a nice pace, both for design and for us hunting the stuff down. Make the set, do a G2 selects set (seriously, if we don't get a G2 Defensor THIS way, I'm going to be very annoyed), and later on repurpose the molds for different redecos/retools.

Truth is, I've been asking for a better Motormaster forever, so I'm not really complaining about this that much. And if they're going to redo the rest (and now without as much of a need to wring Mirage from the same mold), maybe we'll get a six-wheel Drag Strip (always liked that unique aspect of the altmode), which would be neat too. (Hopefully they angle a bit away from the cartoon, because Menasor with gray boxes with car bits for limbs is a bland look and kind of a waste of engineering.)

Currently, though, I'm still in the Bargaining phase, and hoping Motormaster will be backwards compatible so that I don't have to rebuy everything. Because, given how WFC has turned out so far, I might well end up rebuying everything.

Part of me is wondering if I should just sell off the bunch (well, the Stunticons at least) now, sight unseen, given how these rumors leaking and then panning right out is apparently just how things work now, and the success rate (in terms of me liking the stuff) of WFC so far anyway.

I would think the Ravage-specific retooled mold, if we're to believe that the new listing is for a reissue of the normal Transmetal Cheetor version of the mold.

The pricing breakdown of those feels a bit odd to me for these to be the TMs. I mean, Megas were $15 to a Deluxe's $10 back then, 50% more expensive. Ultras were $20, or double the price of a deluxe.

These new listings are $23 for Cheetor, who's a Deluxe either way. That seems to set the bar at the reissues being 2.3 times the original price. But the $50 price for Optimus and Megatron is 3.3 times the original Mega price, and more than double the new Cheetor price. On the surface at least, that would seem to be more in line with these being the season 1 molds, using the Ultra-class molds for Optimus and Megatron. Likewise, Rattrap not having a price seems odd if he's the Transmetal and they've already decided the price for a Deluxe reissue at $23. Maybe hinting this could be his Season 1 Basic toy?

I dunno. Reissuing the Transmetals makes more sense to me than having two sets of figures with the Season 1 designs on the shelves at the same time, and that's where the rumors are, but I think I'm going to be skeptical until we know for certain.

Honestly, I'd be more likely to buy a new and better Breakdown than Motormaster.

As long as they are backwards compatible you can pick and choose your favorites.

They could easily redo them all with much more g1 accuracy which I really feel like they would do.

I havent seen anything outside of the show announcements, but at least one bit of significant news is that Hasbro pulse is expanding to Canada and the UK this year, so thats definitely good news for a lot of people, yourself included lol

I expect the reveals will come when they have another fan event as the investor's event was to pretty much say "We achived so and so since the last one and here is our future plans for the next couple of years, we really hope you have a nice day and thank you for giving us your money so that we can deliver more money to your pocket, evenly, stay safe, stay warm and be Excellent to each other!"
