I don't think this is something Wanda herself created.  I do think she was able to somehow resurrect Vision and somehow the two of them have been forced into this new reality.

As a fan of classic sitcoms this was always going to work for me, even if it does star two of the most boring Avengers of all time. There are so many theories out there already that I REALLY hope we still get some surprises and it doesn't turn out that we already know the whole deal.

It's hard to assess the MCU with fresh eyes at this point given how long we've been immersed in this thing, but right now I would struggle to say there was any part of it that was better than this. Long time since I got excited about a superhero movie because I thought it would be interesting and fresh rather than because it was just the latest chapter of the same old junk.

Of course, plenty of show left to be seen, might stink by the end.

If Wanda and Vision are the most boring I do hope thats in the context of the MCU where they havent yet had the chance to shine on their own. Both characters have a good amount of history in the books to draw more from, which this series seems to draw some inspiration from.

Cant say this is hooking me with the old time sitcom look at the moment. Bit jarring to me with the house changing completely from one episode to the next. The small amount of real world bleed through is interesting so far. But I feel like I have to ignore every comic related news sites right now with all the could this be or lets spoil this for everyone to get clicks bs right now. So many villain speculations popping up from the smallest things. Some feel valid and others are just clickbaiting out of the smallest tangent they can grab on to.

It's hard to tell in advance which references are just easter eggs, and while are plot-important.  Is Agnes meant to be Agatha Harkness, or is it just a wink?  Does the beekeeper mean that AIM is behind this, that Swarm is involved, or something else entirely?  Given how much control Wanda has over the world, is it entirely her creation, or is she just able to hijack things when it's important enough to her?  Is the supporting cast more diverse than any 50s/60s sitcom because they're other real people stuck in it with her, or what?  And so forth.  (I suppose at some point we'll find that she learned English from watching old sitcoms on Sokovian TV, or something like that.)

The beekeeper had the SWORD logo on his back and Geraldine is Monica Rambeau, so at least some of those questions aren't entirely up in the air

As did the toy helicopter. I suspect Wanda was on her way to Wakanda to retrieve their backup copy of Vision, and they got abducted by a Sword helicopter. Now Sword is harvesting something from Wanda and theyre using Vision to calculate something.

I've seen a fan theory that suggests Dottie was actually Clea and is part of how this is supposed to tie into the next Doctor Strange.

I liked this a lot more than I thought I would. I'm a sucker for retro stuff and 50s and 60s Sitcoms are no exception. They were very meticulous in addressing and recreating the tropes of that era, even the somewhat subtle ones. Of course, they've made a few modifications in their anachronistic casting, but that's to be expected. 

 

As the "How do we make something a comedy that isn't usually a comedy" efforts go in TV (Orville, Lower Decks), they did a pretty great job mixing the happy retro sitcom mood with the dark revelation stuff. 

 

I feel like this is the kind of show that most "studio execs" are traditionally afraid to produce because it goes so far out of the box. I hope people accept it for what it is and give it a chance.

 

Will it hold up over the course of the entire series/season? Well, only two episodes in it's too early to know - but so far I really really like it.

I have to admit... the weirdness of having colour show up in a black and white world.. that seems to have been filmed in colour ... doesn't look the same as a colourized black and white film

 

I thought they did a pretty admirable job mimicking the film grade for the two decades. The first episode had greyed blacks and blown whites that were common of the Dick Van Dyke show (at least my experience with it, watching daytime replays in the 80's). Then the Bewitched episode allowing for a little more DoF and a wider, softer pallet.

I loved that they ushered in the Bewitched era by putting the beds together. It's not exactly rocket science but it's cute.

I don't know if it's intended or not, but Bewitched also transitioned to color during it's run, as does the episode.

This show might have stunning ramifications for the MCU if Wanda somehow wishes mutants into existence (which would be a subversion of what she did in the comics).

That is currently the main theory about the Show; that since House of M IS one of its storyline inspirations, that Marvel is gonna use it to give rise to mutants.

I like that the mcu is handling mutants the same way sixonesix did.. get some hulk and avengers stuf out of the way, do a few spider-mens.. something something FF maybe... and oh yeah and now there are mutants
