"Siege Magnus is basically RID Magnus" is definitely a thing you are allowed to type on the internet.
First Impressions of Armada Toys from 2002

Even my RID prowl who I love broke at his door hinges. New updates of them done Earthrise style wouldn't be a bad thing to see.
They'd objectively be worse given they literally can't be any more show accurate, don't need any more articulation and the reduction in parts count per toy since then would have very negative consequences.
Look at Siege Prime and Magnus, who were basically the RID and Galaxy Force toys, but worse.
They are 100% designed to evoke those toys, but at their core, they're G1 magnus. A toy designed from the ground up to only be X-Brawn or Prowl would be a little more on model and hopefully more durable.
Like, if they just threw RID prowls head on Cordon, thats basically what that Galaxy Prime was. If that mold wasn't doing double duty im sure it would have been more on point. Same deal with the combiner wars Megatron remold in to Armada Megs. If it wasn't designed to be G1 Megs from the start, I'm sure that would have been better too.

Anyway, RID Prowl can't hold Armada Prowl, and a hypothetical update could.
I forgot about Mini-Con prowl for a second and was wondering what kind of romantic shenanigans were being imagined with the Energon guy.

A lot of RID2K toys have gotten fragile over the years, between using clear plastic for load-bearing joints and pegs, rubber tires, and just extensive use of ball joints that get floppy with play and age. Some of them could benefit from updates. Like, I have LG-EX Black Convoy, and he's great, but a dedicated mold (with obvious repaint potential as Laser Prime and maybe Toxitron) would be an easy buy. I'd also go for an Omega Prime that can actually support his own weight in any pose other than standing at attention.
