Personal rule-of-thumb; I take every interaction with a corporation as a gamble. They might give me my toy, or they might make me sell my body. It’s a gamble. Nothing’s a guarantee. Airlines overbook seats all the time; it’s common accepted standard practice. Pre-orders being treated like airline seats is... kinda a sucky thing to discover, but it doesn’t surprise me in the least, and is not even the worst thing they do. You may feel personally screwed, but policies and departments are so layered and bifurcated and segmented and need-to-know that not even their policies are a guarantee, because they are “subject to change without prior notice”. Meaning they can literally dick you around any time, any place, any way if you interact with them. It’s all a gamble.
As for their employees in customer service, each one is a subcontractor to a subcontractor to a third-party subsidiary to a contractor ad infinitum. They don’t make the toys. They don’t even sell the toys, that’s another 26 departments, one that handles acquisitions, another that handles contracts, another inventory, another the suppliers, etc. etc. etc. So. They read that script because that’s all their job is. That is literally their job. To sit and read you that damn script. They are doing exactly what they are paid to do. They ARE doing their job, and you’re ruining their day with your tantrum while they’re pack 6 to a 10x10 cubicle in a rundown warehouse and Calcutta with no air circulation. And amazon’s job is not to sell toys either; it’s to make money. And you are an acceptable loss.
It sucks, but that’s life.
Judge me when you're happy with your life.

Corporations screw people. This is not news. Amazon has been dinged by countless worker’s rights organizations, media, governments, and are well-known for their human rights violations and worker abuse. If they don’t give a shit about their workers, they sure as hell don’t give a shit that some fanboy didn’t get their Starformers doll.
Why should we listen to you when you can't even get basic facts right, like that it's a Starformers action figure.
Robert is made to withstand plenty of play, and transforms from car to robot! Go, Robert, go!
Why will we solve after Robert grasps the abysmal winter's ulcer? He may change rural tailors, do you join them? The films, tapes, and spoons are all good and fresh.

I mean, you're not supposed to feel good but I think it's the cussing out of an employee that was being taken issue with.
I didn't cuss anybody out. I said "I GAVE HER A HARD TIME". Meaning I didn't accept her answer & wanted to speak to somebody above her. I was very nice & polite & she got me to a supervisor. I was actually quite bored & almost falling asleep. She was just repeating the same exact robotic answer that they told me in my previous 5 or 6 calls to them. She had no information for me so I told her that somebody at Amazon must know something, somebody somewhere has to be in charge of placing the orders with Hasbro. Somebody must know if there is an actual shipment on order & on it's way from Hasbro. She didn't know so she asked if I would like to speak with a supervisor. Definitely no cussing involved.
I say "GAVE HER A HARD TIME" and you people automatically assume I was ranting & raving & screaming & cussing. How the F did you even get that from what I posted? You just read whatever you want into it.

I'm gonna call them again in the morning & cuss them out over the "pre-order guarantee" BS.
You're right. I have no idea why I would have commented on anything like that.
