Before the permanent late shift was introduced three years ago (which I volunteered for as soon as the form became available), I always tended to plan my vacation for early shift weeks. Since the majority of the people in most departments prefer to work early shift and thus tended to plan their vacation for late shift weeks, there were usually enough slots available for me to get my request fulfilled.

Instead of competing with 100 other people, there's now only 1 (out of 3 others who share my job) that's been in the building longer than me, and so has first dibs at weeks. So a few of the same rules, a few different ones. For regular employees, requests need to be in by January 15th. If they are, those are doled out based on seniority. You're only guaranteed 2 weeks in "prime time" (basically June, July, August). Anything submitted after January 15th is given out first come, first served based on availability

...Okay, there really is something about how they designed Huffer in both modes that catches my eye. Like Siege Hound and a few others, he's just the right mix of 'G1' and 'modernized', which would help him easily blend into different generations of Generations over the years. :)

It does appear to have a torn punch in the corner where it would hang on a beaded chain in the aisle.

Found Primal and Cyclonus today. Finally going to open the other 3.

Honestly, have never been a big fan of BW. I bought the anniversary figures from a few years back and have since sold them. Im liking the way some of these look so giving them another go. Cyclonus Im super pumped for.

Dinobot's beast mode looks rather messy while the robot mode is where the figure seems to shine, I MIGHT get him but at the mo, I'm on the bench!

So I gotta say, not bad overall. I didnt follow the directions so I may not have had him transformed 100% correct, but Primal is about what I expect out of a monkey robot. No, Im not a truck not munky guy. Just never been 100% impressed. I am looking forward to finding Megatron and a few others.

Cyclonus is pure updated G1 gold like Netflix Soundwave. Ill even toss Bumblebee in that category. You can tell some reverse engineering from Materpiece in here and it comes off fantastic. Whoever the folks are designing toys with this trilogy have been pretty spot on, Id say going back to at least Titans Return with the core headmasters group.

Elita, nice remold from Arcee, but that mold....they have been beat up/reviewed enough.

Impactor, glad to have him.

That trailer's height looks entirely too short. Much lower, and it would look like a flatbed trailer.

Heck, with all the beasts in this line, maybe it should have been.

I wasn't going to buy Siege Magnus since I had figured that there would be a more Earth-mode version sooner or later, but ended up giving in when it was $18 at Ross.  There are definitely aspects of this new Magnus that I like better than the Siege one I already have, but I don't see myself double-dipping unless I can also catch this one at a good price.

 

Now, repaint it as Delta Magnus / Powered Convoy, then I can justify another version more easily.

I'm on the fence about Magnus here. I've got the Siege version and I'm happy with him, as I like the RiD Homage in him; but that works against him here. Because he looses the Screen accurate alt mode which, when we got everyone else being faithful all around in robot and vehicle modes, hurts him imo. But I do like his cleaner robot mode, and the remolding done to him, he probably has the nicer Robot mode between the two. But either way, he's not the 'definitive' version if the character that many of the others in these lines are being.
