I guess I don't see why it's so much more unbelievable than all the other recent rumors that turn out to be true.

We know there's going to be a BW IDW series next year, and we know that the comics are more aligned with the toys now than they have been in years. We know that Hasbro is at least considering a BW movie (though even I believe that has like 0 chance of happening). Next year is the line's 25th anniversary. It seems like the generation figures for the 86 movie line will be in Studio Series instead of WFC, even though that was the expected theme of the last part of the trilogy and now makes what that theme is going to be unclear. Why is it so unbelievable that there will be a few BW characters in the next WFC line? Correctly predicting the name of the next WFC line should make this person as reliable as the average person that leaks the names of upcoming figures, right?

 

The difference between all of the rumors related to upcoming figures that have proven true so far and all of the "rumors" presented in the OP of this thread is that those "rumors" in the OP aren't actually rumors at all. They're speculations or theories. Speculations and theories are not the same things as rumors.

 

Granted, they can have some similarities to one another and be related concepts, but are ultimately completely different concepts in and of themselves.

Yes, I'm aware of the difference between speculation and rumor. Thanks for explaining it me slowly, but I can keep up.

If you read my post, you'd see that I was not talking about the OP. I was referring to the individual on TFW who claims to know that BW figures will be part of the next WFC line and predicted the name of the next line as proof that they aren't lying.

The word "kingdom" doesn't necessarily refer to just animals. It can also mean something like...

...it's not that the fact that the next line is called "Kingdom" that's the evidence that the next line is about beasts. It's the fact that the person who said the next line was going to be Kingdom also said that the next line was going to have beasts.

A line that does g1 guys as pretools for beast wars characters, or vice versa works for me.

I figure that's the only way we'd get to see beast wars characters these days and at least any g1 car guy or whatever done up as an animal would be different.

Some update/homage to BW would be great. And maybe there's something to it, but there's also the phrase "If your only tool is a hammer, then every problem looks like a nail."

 

If someone is looking for hints/theories/"evidence" of BW, then what they find will be "evidence" of it to them.

In recent years we've had a lot of rumors turning out to be true and leaks that turned out to be real, which makes it easy to forget we've also seen a lot of both turn out to be incorrect.  It's not always even a matter of people lying and claiming to have insider info they don't have, because people with real information can misinterpret or overinterpret it.  (I remember back around Combiner Wars there were two different leaks that were too right about too many specific things to not be from genuine inside sources, but also one of them claimed CW Ultra Magnus didn't have any IDW influence and the other claimed CW Streetwise was a Breakdown retool.)

The next theme could be KingdomS, which could lead to the colony angle some of us have been harking on for years.  I can't see Hasbro committing an entire line to something like Beast Wars.  Heck, we are still getting a Titanmaster figure almost 3 years after the line was all Titanmasters.  That said, this trilogy thus far has been pretty solid on the G1 fanwank and I can't imagine a full  year without us getting SOMETHING to tie into the original line, especially if they're playing at integrated the original animated movie into Studio Series.  And there still remains ample opportunity for reuse and retools using the existing G1 figures that they have produced.

 

At least Optimus Primal and Beast Megatron would help fulfill the "requisite character" angle so I think it would be more possible to get us more than the sub-handful of figures we've gotten in prior Generations attempts.

I'm gonna go ahead and predict that WFC3 is not in fact anything Beast Wars-related(aside from maybe 1-2 characters), and will actually continue the retelling of G1 that Siege started, continuing where Earthrise left off, with the Ark & Nemesis landing on Earth.

So been keeping tabs in the thread with the user dropping tidbits on part 3.

Take everything with a grain of salt of course.

Part 3 is Kingdom

Will be about the G1 cast meeting the Beast Wars cast through time travel.

The lineup will be a roughly 50/50 or 45/55 split between G1 and BW characters.

BW Scorponok is in the lineup. Couldn't confirm if he has cyberbee or not.

Not sure if BW Inferno is in the line or not as G1 Inferno from Earthrise Grapple is in it. BW Inferno may be a later wave. But voyager space is limited and split between the two casts.

86 Movie characters split between the G1 cast here and in studio series.

Primal and Cheetor were apparently going to be flocked but this may have been cut for budget reasons.

Primal, Cheetor and Megatron also in the line. Though those were a given.

The new weaponizers are called Fossilizers and are skeletal dinosaurs that form armor for other bots. (I'm totally down for these if true)

No Toy only BW characters that he has seen so far. Only show characters.

I'm really trying to reserve excitement for this for if it's proven real. But this would all make me feel so much better about not being able to afford the MP Beast wars figures.

He said

Unfortunately no micro/battle masters in part 3. Replaced by new Legends size class called Core class. Mostly G1 characters, Fossilizers and Rattrap.

I don't know if I beleive this. Would the "Fossilizers" be totally re-imagined Dinobots or new characters? Neither of those things are very in with this teams wheelhouse.

-ZacWilliam, would they go BWNeo? Doesn't feel like "Fossilizers" would have the built in re-use that both Weaponizers and Modulators have had planed in.

Flocked, like added hair?  I'm not trying to sound dumb, I actually don't know what that means.

 

I remember dinosaur fossils that became armor and wearpons...from a line called Bone Age.  It would be hilarious to see a sort-of-homage line.  Even if I didn't get any of the rest I'd grab at least one and give it to the Dinobots.

If the Fossilizers are soley in the new legends sized "core class". I could see them being new characters much like Slash was in Potp. With the G1 minibots and Rattrap rounding out the class.

Had to look up Bone Age. It was a line by Kenner....who helped create Beast wars....that would be one crazy ass homage.
