x-x when in vehicle mode we can travel much F A R T H E R-

@  wonko the sane? : (30 June 2020 - 05:52 PM)

Because despite the fact that we can travel around the world in the time it takes to get a good nights sleep and a couple of meals: people rarely wander more than 25 miles away from home for the duration of their lives.

@  Otaku : (30 June 2020 - 05:49 PM)

I don't know how many days that trip takes - especially while sightseeing - but explaining they're 3936 kilometers (2445 miles) apart gives an idea, paradoxically because it is too large to easily picture.

@  Otaku : (30 June 2020 - 05:44 PM)

Aye.  When I catch lay people discussing miles and not how long the trip takes, it is in an attempt to stress how far away something is... like NYC to LA.

@  ▲ndrusi : (30 June 2020 - 01:20 PM)

But I can imagine 45 *minutes* easily.

@  ▲ndrusi : (30 June 2020 - 01:20 PM)

I can imagine a mile, it's a distance I've run. I can't really imagine 45 miles.

@  ▲ndrusi : (30 June 2020 - 01:19 PM)

I think there's also an element of the thing where things that are much bigger than us all blur together.

@  Otaku : (30 June 2020 - 11:49 AM)

If you're not, then you're more concerned with how long it takes.  Actual distance doesn't tell you that very well.  Besides traffic and road conditions, you'll need to know what kind of driving (city/interstate/rural/etc.).

@  Otaku : (30 June 2020 - 11:47 AM)

Distance matters if you're being paid by the mile.

@  TM2-Megatron : (30 June 2020 - 11:44 AM)

Canadians are the same way, for the most part. If you're driving somewhere far, especially, it helps you plan out the day more than a distance in KM would.

@  Otaku : (30 June 2020 - 11:42 AM)

We use the time it takes to get someplace because that is what is relevant to us.

@  TheMightyMol... : (30 June 2020 - 10:55 AM)

Because even we can't figure out miles half the time.

@  Paladin : (30 June 2020 - 09:54 AM)

it's a big country with a lot of empty space. between our citizens' ears.

@  Bass X0 : (30 June 2020 - 09:52 AM)

Why do most Americans measure distance by hours of driving?

@  TM2-Megatron : (29 June 2020 - 07:26 PM)

And as a result the world's lone blu-ray release of the film, an Australian disc that came out 7 years ago, now goes for hundreds of dollars on eBay. Thanks Disney.

@  TM2-Megatron : (29 June 2020 - 06:21 PM)

Well, they censored Daryl Hannah's butt in Splash :rolleyes

@  Paladin : (29 June 2020 - 05:43 PM)

maybe New Mutants is too bad even for D+.

@  Steevy Maximus : (29 June 2020 - 05:00 PM)

X-Men films are coming to Disney+ next month. But will they censor Hugh Jackman's butt?

@  -LittleAutob... : (29 June 2020 - 12:44 PM)

Pft.

@  TheMightyMol... : (29 June 2020 - 11:59 AM)

Behold! Night Strike Galvatron!

@  Bass X0 : (29 June 2020 - 09:53 AM)

I will grant you a recolored body, and recolored troops to command.

@  Cybersnark : (29 June 2020 - 09:47 AM)

I don't want to be reissued. This body sucks, I wanna be updated.

@  Nevermore : (29 June 2020 - 09:43 AM)

I definitely don't intend to be reissued. Nobody would buy me.

@  Bass X0 : (29 June 2020 - 08:31 AM)

will anybody else attempt to be reissued?

@  wonko the sane? : (29 June 2020 - 07:51 AM)

*Gasp* Decepticons re-writing history to serve their own needs?!?!

@  Nevermore : (29 June 2020 - 05:48 AM)

The whole point of the DJD is that they're fanatical Megatron fanboys (especially Tarn) to the point of having their own headcanon taking priority of the actual canon, simply speaking.

@  TheMightyMol... : (29 June 2020 - 04:01 AM)

They didn't know the war was over until later. And then they denied it anyway.

@  PlutoniumBoss : (28 June 2020 - 10:47 PM)

"He's comin' right for us!"

@  Telly : (28 June 2020 - 08:40 PM)

was that even still in effect once the war ended?

@  TheMightyMol... : (28 June 2020 - 06:51 PM)

According to Roberts, soldiers can ignore the order to spare Whirl if he's directly threatening them. But mostly the DJD were out of their heads on Nuke and not really caring much at the time.

@  Xaaron : (28 June 2020 - 06:41 PM)

Also, they were hopped up on goofballs at the time.

BotBots! There are BotBots in this manga now!

White Convoy's trailer is that of Energon Optimus.

The five Matrices that God Neptune stole for "somebody" in the last part are named here like so:

  • White Matrix: Matrix Saber
  • Red Matrix: Matrix Buster
  • Yellow Matrix: Matrix Gauntlet
  • Green Matrix: Creation Matrix
  • Black Matrix: Black Legendisc

White Convoy's combined form is named White Convoy Grand Prime, and is comprised of CW Battle Core Optimus, UW/CW Groove, CW Rook, UW Prowl, and UW Streewise.

Both White Convoy Grand Prime and Megatron Omega have organic-looking brains like Predaking had in the Transformers: Zone episode.

Megatron Omega set himself on Purple Convoy's Container (his trailer) for a Power Up called SF Battery Mode.

In a flashback set before Halfshell went to 2020 and first met Turtler, we see that there was a SIXTH Space Pirate Seacon, a redeco of Lobclaw/Nautilator, who was named... uhh... ロウブハンマー (Roubuhanmā). It kinda looks like his name is "Lobhammer", but that extra ウ (u) in there is throwing me off since, for comparison, the "Lob" part of "Lobclaw" is just ロブ (Robu) with no ウ.

The shadowy being Halfshell makes a deal with during the flashback kinda looks like Unicron, but it's probably just a Vok/Dark Nova.

EDIT: TFWiki went with "Lawbhammer" for the sixth guy's name. *shrug*

I think the concept of being educated and being able to educate is something that more people need more of in their lives.

No, we don't all know everything but we should spread and share that what we do know.

If I'm consistently misspelling a word, I would want and expect people to correct me as should I imagine all decent people who know the value of good literacy.

Its just arrogant laziness to know you're spelling a word incorrectly and not correct yourself or ignore the advice when people do tell you how to spell a word correctly.

English summaries:

On the White Planet, several hours before Halfshell's attack, White drives through the town greeting the denizens before arriving at the White Order's base. There, he's alerted to the battle between Super Megatron and Star Convoy on the Blue Planet, but decides that the Blue Order can handle it—the White Order's duty belongs on their planet. Nevertheless, White is engrossed in Star Convoy's heroism, realizing that the visitor Primus told him of is himself in the next life...

Having gathered five of the Primus Vanguard's Matrices, God Neptune sets out to use their power to take the Purple Matrix and the Silver Matrix (carrying the blue Star Power of the α Matrix beside its own) from Megatron Omega and Purple. Megatron attempts to blast the Seacon combiner, but God Neptune is unfazed. Straxus takes a swipe with the Matrix Sword, but is disarmed by God Neptune retaliating with the Matrix Saber. The Matrix Sword isn't without surprises, and Blue's spirit emanates from it, revealing that he put a portion of his spark into the sword when he committed suicide. Blue links to the Matrix Buster to give God Neptune a good blast, and Yellow, Green, and Black arrive to restrain God Neptune. White leaps into action in his "White Convoy Grand Prime" mode, but the entire endeavor ends in White being bisected by God Neptune's Neptune Sword.

Grabbing the opportunity, Megatron Omega converts into a new mode that combines with Purple's trailer and ruthlessly shoots the combiner with Angolmois Energy, breaking him apart. Desperate, Halfshell calls Turtler for help, but his plea is interrupted when Megatron Omega broadcasts Halfshell's unkind words about his "brother" from earlier in the photon sailer.

Having watched Halfshell's insults toward him, Turtler turns his back on his "brother", disappointed that his comrade turned out to be as disdainful as everyone else. Now alone, the miserable Halfshell cries and laughs at his despair; looking at his felled crew, Halfshell thinks back to a similar scenario...

Before and elsewhere, the Seacons, betrayed by Duncan, have been left for dead in space. Halfshell mourns new member Lowbhammer in particular when a mysterious, shadowed robot arrives. He offers to revive the Seacons... but only if they do as he says. The mysterious being takes Lowbhammer as collateral and sends Halfshell to 2020 to pick up Turtler.

Halfshell moans at what he's been brought down to—a crewmember being a hostage, violating pirate law, and deceiving his brother. In response, a voice emanates from the Neptune Sword... White! White explains that he placed his soul within the sword and gives the Seacon captain words of encouragement. Nearby, Megatron Omega attempts to absorb the Star Power of the five Matrices God Neptune brought, but he finds his head smashed in with the Neptune Sword. Halfshell takes the Star Power for himself, reforming God Neptune and cleaving Megatron in half. The Straxuses worry about their bisected master, but their concern is unnecessary as Megatron absorbs their energies to reform himself. With an inhuman voice, Megatron Omega declares that this is the form that banished the humans from Earth in the future... Megatron Omega: Perfect Form.

On the Blue Planet, Primus explains that he's out to foil Primacron's plans and calls Primitive warriors to him!

"Primitive Warriors, huh?"

Who could that mean...

In Call of the Primitives we had:
Dinobots
Sky Lynx
Bot Animal cassettes
Terrorcons
Predacons
Con Dino-Cassettes.

Outside of that the obvious suspects I can think of are Dinoforce or the Pretender Monsters.

-ZacWilliam, honestly with TakTom I could see it being almost anyone really.

If they actually do a combiner team of Pretenders, I may actually try to swing it.  Though I have no idea how they'd go about doing it economically without splitting the shells off into a separate purchase.  FansProject tried that and reception was iffy at best.

There's five pairs of eyes, so it could be a reuse of the Potpie Dinobot/Terrorcon molds as the Dinoforce. One member short, though.

Before I ordered my Seacons, I pondered whether the God Neptune version would look better. Wondered if I should wait. But I liked the way the original King Poseidon scheme looked as well. And though I told myself they'd be crazy to leave Nautilator out of the God Neptune set, I didn't want to risk them being that crazy. And I had three of the 80s Seacons as a kid, which honestly overrode any other considerations. :3

I can see I made the correct choice now. My condolences to anyone who feels even a little burned by the decision. And yeah, I know WHY Takara did it, but I still think it's weird.

Other things make me glad I went with King Poseidon. I don't like how bright the white plastic is on God Neptune, but it might look better in person. I also don't like the Moonracer legs being used for Scylla after they made perfectly fine Tentakil legs. I already have the Moonracer legs on four other bots. Plus half of the legs on Chromia. I appreciate the new head and chest though, even if I don't agree with the idea that they needed to make her boobier.

Actually, that's the beauty of the franchise, you have a TON of options nowadays, so everyone can just pick what they want or what works best.  In MY day we saw Primal Prime and we jumped at it because we knew we'd never see better, uphill both ways with Jetstorm in Skywarp and Jiaxus colors and we had to shovel heaps of flaked chrome and gold plastic dust into the rear of a truck that may have been a monkey-

-This rant goes on for about four hours, cutting for space-

- but seeing that there is a segment of the fanbase that will buy a robot just because it looks more female (I'm actually not in it, the majority of my anime figures were gifts), and the fact that it corresponded with both an easy recolor of an already expensive-to-produce mold that needs to pay for itself, and that they could do a minor parts swap and retool and say they made the all-white set 'more source accurate' probably all collided to make it happen.  I agree on preferring Piranacon's colors, though kudos to Transformers for making the girl of the team the tentacle monster.
