x-x when in vehicle mode we can travel much F A R T H E R-

@  wonko the sane? : (30 June 2020 - 05:52 PM)

Because despite the fact that we can travel around the world in the time it takes to get a good nights sleep and a couple of meals: people rarely wander more than 25 miles away from home for the duration of their lives.

@  Otaku : (30 June 2020 - 05:49 PM)

I don't know how many days that trip takes - especially while sightseeing - but explaining they're 3936 kilometers (2445 miles) apart gives an idea, paradoxically because it is too large to easily picture.

@  Otaku : (30 June 2020 - 05:44 PM)

Aye.  When I catch lay people discussing miles and not how long the trip takes, it is in an attempt to stress how far away something is... like NYC to LA.

@  ▲ndrusi : (30 June 2020 - 01:20 PM)

But I can imagine 45 *minutes* easily.

@  ▲ndrusi : (30 June 2020 - 01:20 PM)

I can imagine a mile, it's a distance I've run. I can't really imagine 45 miles.

@  ▲ndrusi : (30 June 2020 - 01:19 PM)

I think there's also an element of the thing where things that are much bigger than us all blur together.

@  Otaku : (30 June 2020 - 11:49 AM)

If you're not, then you're more concerned with how long it takes.  Actual distance doesn't tell you that very well.  Besides traffic and road conditions, you'll need to know what kind of driving (city/interstate/rural/etc.).

@  Otaku : (30 June 2020 - 11:47 AM)

Distance matters if you're being paid by the mile.

@  TM2-Megatron : (30 June 2020 - 11:44 AM)

Canadians are the same way, for the most part. If you're driving somewhere far, especially, it helps you plan out the day more than a distance in KM would.

@  Otaku : (30 June 2020 - 11:42 AM)

We use the time it takes to get someplace because that is what is relevant to us.

@  TheMightyMol... : (30 June 2020 - 10:55 AM)

Because even we can't figure out miles half the time.

@  Paladin : (30 June 2020 - 09:54 AM)

it's a big country with a lot of empty space. between our citizens' ears.

@  Bass X0 : (30 June 2020 - 09:52 AM)

Why do most Americans measure distance by hours of driving?

@  TM2-Megatron : (29 June 2020 - 07:26 PM)

And as a result the world's lone blu-ray release of the film, an Australian disc that came out 7 years ago, now goes for hundreds of dollars on eBay. Thanks Disney.

@  TM2-Megatron : (29 June 2020 - 06:21 PM)

Well, they censored Daryl Hannah's butt in Splash :rolleyes

@  Paladin : (29 June 2020 - 05:43 PM)

maybe New Mutants is too bad even for D+.

@  Steevy Maximus : (29 June 2020 - 05:00 PM)

X-Men films are coming to Disney+ next month. But will they censor Hugh Jackman's butt?

@  Bass X0 : (29 June 2020 - 09:53 AM)

I will grant you a recolored body, and recolored troops to command.

@  Cybersnark : (29 June 2020 - 09:47 AM)

I don't want to be reissued. This body sucks, I wanna be updated.

@  Nevermore : (29 June 2020 - 09:43 AM)

I definitely don't intend to be reissued. Nobody would buy me.

@  Bass X0 : (29 June 2020 - 08:31 AM)

will anybody else attempt to be reissued?

@  wonko the sane? : (29 June 2020 - 07:51 AM)

*Gasp* Decepticons re-writing history to serve their own needs?!?!

@  Nevermore : (29 June 2020 - 05:48 AM)

The whole point of the DJD is that they're fanatical Megatron fanboys (especially Tarn) to the point of having their own headcanon taking priority of the actual canon, simply speaking.

@  TheMightyMol... : (29 June 2020 - 04:01 AM)

They didn't know the war was over until later. And then they denied it anyway.

Character that needs a new toy in WFC3 despite having had a modern one already?
Thunderwing. Leader class Thunderwing with fully articulated Mega Pretender action and quad barrel cyclone cannon and G1 Geoff Senior style face.

Character who has never had a modern toy and should get one in WFC3?

Monstructor!

Also the Pretender Monsters.

Also Bristleback, Birdbrain, Slog, Scowl, Wildfly and Icepick.

Also this guy:

lLxrE4r.jpg

Group of characters you would like to see completed in WFC3?
The Autobot Targetmasters, both the big and the small.  Heck, I'd buy a new Scoop even though I love the T30 toy.

Robert is made to withstand plenty of play, and transforms from car to robot! Go, Robert, go!

Why will we solve after Robert grasps the abysmal winter's ulcer? He may change rural tailors, do you join them? The films, tapes, and spoons are all good and fresh.

Addendum to my last post here: I kinda want human figures as accessories in WFC3(ala SS Charlie), considering where they'll be in the timeline. And since HasTak's not presenting the main Generations line as a unified aesthetic line, the humans probably won't have different aesthetics from their various animation styles.

Character you expect demand we'll see in WFC3?
Voyager-sized Rodimus Prime and Galvatron. TR Galvatron can fill in in a pinch, and PotP Rodimus will always have a place in my collection. But I really want a solid version of these guys that can stand alongside a matching Optimus and Megatron and not feel out of place. That's something I've been wanting since 1986.

Character you want to see in WFC3?
All the other TFTM characters that haven't gotten a WfC figure already. Hot Rod, Kup, Blurr, Cyclonus, Scourge, and maybe an ER Cliffjumper-styled Wheelie.

Character that needs a new toy in WFC3 despite having had a modern one already?
Given how they keep putting him in the fan polls, I suspect Hasbro really wants to, and ultimately will, release a new version of Needlenose. If so, I'd really like to see a new Quake who's less Hardhead and more Quake to go with Needlenose and Spinister. Another Soundwave would be nice just to better fit in with the other '84 Earthrise 'Cons.

Character who has never had a modern toy and should get one in WFC3?
Deathsaurus

Group of characters you would like to see completed in WFC3?
Any of the cassettes that haven't shown up yet. In particular, I really want to see Buzzsaw, Slugfest, and Overkill, and I'd absolutely love to see Beastbox and Squawktalk as well. The deluxe Insecticons would be great too, and don't seem like a big stretch like they used to.

Toy from WFC1 or 2 that you'd like to see repainted or remolded for WFC3? And as who?
I think the biggest draw for me would be ER Starscream -> Slipstream.

Commander class toy for WFC3?
Deathsaurus and/or Victory Saber. I'd also be happy with a larger Overlord or a better God Ginrai, but I'd rather the Victory guys get an update.

Titan class toy for WFC3?

Monstructor. I'm very flexible with the details here, just as long as it includes all six members as a full combining team. I'd be fine with a standard Scramble City combiner as long as Slog and Birdbrain still combine somehow for the torso. For that route, I'd prefer two deluxe-sized bots specially engineered to make a CW torso, but a Voyager Slog with Legends Birdbrain well integrated into the torso would work. But since I doubt 6 shells would fit into the Titan price on top of those, I think I'd rather they go the Devastator/Predaking route and have 6 larger monsters that merge into one of the big combiners.

You would think with how they copied-ished the MP mold for Siege/ER Optimus, they could do the same with the MP Rodimus mold and design a good Voyager/Leader class figure from that.

Come to think of it, wouldn't say no to a Nova Prime redeco/retool of the Galaxy Prime mold.

Or a multipack of Battle Masters and fireblast parts in colors we haven't yet gotten, that also debuts new single-barrel weapons for Firedrive and Blowpipe/Aimless (central single barrels, not the big and little barrel pairing) that can be used in later redecos. A ten-pack, like the Micromaster one! Ricochet's Nightstick/Nebulon, Spoilsport, Peacemaker, Pinpointer, Pteraxadon as Sights, Chro, or Rav, Smashdown in white and gold, the Double Targetmasters...

(Might be nice to get a Droid-type Battle Master at some point that can be done up as Push-Button and Fistfight, but seems like we've moved on to bridges already).

You would think with how they copied-ished the MP mold for Siege/ER Optimus, they could do the same with the MP Rodimus mold and design a good Voyager/Leader class figure from that.

Since my initial reply I've been thinking about a Rodimus that's basically Hot Rod with a Weaponizer/Modulator style "trailer".

The POTP base robot is a decent place to start, with just some proportion issues. Hot Rod's transformation is fairly simple as well, especially if you strip away the need to hide an Evolution robot head and turn into a torso.

Hot Rod's can basically expand into Rodimus, with some arm, torso and leg extensions/repositioning joints to make him a bit taller, with a swappable face and maybe a slide-out expanding spoiler. The passable similarity in looks -- versus way more visually-distinct ones like white-cab vs armored-up Magnus -- is really his design advantage, keeping parts needs minimal. The colors would be the same for both, as a tradeoff, but I'd be fine with that.

To convert to the Winnebago cab, the Hot Rod vehicle mode could have the windshield and spoiler fold/slide forward a bit to hide the engine and end up further forward on the roof, respectively, then just cover the rest with the trailer half (with better side pipes integration, PLEASE, that was so frustrating with POTP that all this time later I'm still looking for a way to fix it).

Trailer could pull apart into chunks/panels and guns and reassemble into a battle station mode-shaped shell. Or accommodate some ramps, or armor up the base Rodimus (or anyone) as these parts tend to do.

(And then do a Unicronus redeco so I can have a base for things like Black Hot Rod, Black Rodimus, Shattered Glass Rodimus, etc like I did with the POTP one.)

I really want to believe it's doable.

I am either buying an extra to swap heads with Thundies or hoping that the set is error prone enough that I can find with the normal face.

That face isn't good and everything else about him is pretty much perfect. Which rarely happens for a Skywarp. First time we've gotten purple shoulders and cannons on the G1 deco without them adding something like stripes like on the MP.

Ignore my last post. What I really want are Hasbro touching on screen-accurate Sunbow seasons 1/2 subfactions. Stunticons, Leader Dinobots, Deluxe Constructicons, etc. Especially Dinobots since unified scale is a thing now. Deluxe Insecticons too though, those boys didn't get any love at all in Prime Wars.

I really enjoy the Insecticons that came out during the Prime Wars trilogy.  They are fun and on a similar scale to the G1 versions.  They were always small in the show so I kind of like them that way.

I would 100% support a set of leader scale Dinobots.  I very seriously doubt it will happen, but I know I would pick them up if they did!

As for Skywarp's face... wouldn't it be easier to snag an extra Starscream since he'll be the more widely available version of the mold and snag his head?  I had been thinking of doing that.
