Before the permanent late shift was introduced three years ago (which I volunteered for as soon as the form became available), I always tended to plan my vacation for early shift weeks. Since the majority of the people in most departments prefer to work early shift and thus tended to plan their vacation for late shift weeks, there were usually enough slots available for me to get my request fulfilled.

When Queen Chrysalis casts a spell looking for more changelings, she accidentally interferes with a malfunctioning Spacebridge! What's this mean for our favorite fillies? There are suddenly a bunch of Autobots and Decepticons in Equestria! And as the dust settles, Rarity and Arcee find themselves teaming up against a hostile Decepticon force.

Plus Spike and Grimlock; Pinkie Pie, Gauge, and Shockwave; Fluttershy, Discord, and Soundwave; Rainbow Dash and Windblade; and Optimus Prime and Twilight Sparkle all team up for more adventures.

Late and if it does not prominently feature Mach Kick, Battle Unicorn and several new TF characters that tf into ponies then you are doing it wrong.

-ZacWilliam, you got to go with the weirdness and fun on this one: Marta-Al-Utha vs Pony Magic, Transforming MLP style dragons and griffins and yaks. Heinrad and Twilight Sparkle time travel...

Twilight replies "Its Pinkie, she breaks all of the known rules, Pinkie, party cannon, please?" PP "OK!" Dashes off and back a second later with her party cannon and pulls the cord and party stuff goes flying over Blur and the Pinkie pulling at Blur's mouth "Lets put a smile on that face, shall we?"

And, of course, it's yet another version of G1 instead of any series that actually was a contemporary to the FIM series.

 

So, when might this take place during FIM's time? I'd presume after Season 6, at least, since Queen Chrysalis is both present and still at large following her defeat and retreat in that season's finale.

Either way, I shall be getting these.

James Asmus's prior Transformers work was a Bumblebee story that was released as a 60 page graphic novel, so it's a format IDW does, particularly for stories aimed at younger readers. I recall noticing that pages 20-21 were a double page spread so it wasn't even planned for single issues. It was also announced in February for a September release, which isn't that far off of this being announced in February and coming out in November.
