Rodimus, you're just flat-out wrong. Trump eliminated the Pandemic Response Team. Trump was advised in January that this could be serious, and he didn't listen. Trump spent weeks downplaying COVID-19 by implying it was a hoax, and then that it was just a type of flu. He was late to close down travel from China, and by the time he closed down air-travel to the EU, that was also too late. He has refused to take responsibility for removing the pandemic response team, even though he basically bragged about it some months before. He's also prematurely talked up treatments using chlorquinine that have not been properly vetted as yet, and he keeps calling COVID-19 the "Chinense virus" because he can't help but be a jerk. Face facts: Trump is an incompetent bungler. Period. Full-stop.

There's nothing stopping you from having those. Just pay attention to portion sizes. Self control is the, hands down, hardest part of getting healthy.

What kind of bike is that? I love riding in the snow, but I also get scared of the tires sliding out from under me.

Got up and ran 2 miles outside since it was warm enough. Haven’t ran outside in awhile and it showed. Feb 1st also starts a biggest loser contest. I’m around 235 right now. Hopefully with motivation to win that and doing the 100 mile challenge in Feb I’ll drop a lot of pounds with the shock my body is about to get.

I was running today, and I told myself something I usually tell myself when I’m running and somebody passes me: don’t worry about them. Run your race.

But then I also realized those that were passing me were what appeared to be young kids in their 20’s while I’ll be 40 in May. They better be passing me up!

Weight 213 this morning. Ran 3.5 miles outside yesterday.

Still walking every day, even in the snow. Filled all the rings in my Applewatch 28 out of 29 days this month.

Man, I should go do some brisk walking cuz you folks are all doing miles. Fun run at Feb 9 is coming up fast.

1 mile swim Tues and leg day yesterday... my first leg day since April and I was feeling it immediately after!

I havent done squats since I did them a week and a half ago.  I need to do them tomorrow on my night off.  But Im afraid at how bad my legs are going to hurt.

What kind of bike is that? I love riding in the snow, but I also get scared of the tires sliding out from under me.
Alpine by Giant. It has 4.5” wide tires. I remember hitting a patch of snow on my old bike, and it was like quick sand, but this thing is a tank.

Snow never really worried me, it was the ice. I hugged up my shoulder beautifully one year by hitting a patch of the black while riding. My bike rotated 90 degrees and dropped my entire weight on my right shoulder. It's still not right, I'm as strong as I used to be, but range of motion suffered and the damn thing wants to pop out of the joint if I move too quick.

Two walks since my last post. I'm... just not motivated or driven to exercise right now. And it doesn't hurt that life is getting in the way anyway.

Got a workout in yesterday.  You can see on my first run where I had to step off the treadmill for a minute.  Was going a little faster than I should have.  Not sure if I am just going to walk my 3.5 miles tonight or get on the elliptical.  Might not do weights everyday, but going to try and do core everyday after getting my miles in.  I saw myself in the mirror this morning when I was getting ready and saw some good changes.  Did a side by side photo from September when I was down in Florida on the beach vs now and WOW!  Maybe Ill post a after picture when this deployment is done or the Biggest Loser contest at the end of March.  

 

Speaking of the BL contest, I went to get my weight recorded yesterday and was trying to save a trip for the bathroom until after I was weighed.  Well the guy on night shift was doing inventory so I went to the bathroom, did my run, then got weighed in.  As most of us know, running can work as a laxative.  So I weighed myself after I went, I lost a whole pound!  lol.  Weight at weigh in (with shoes and clothes) 240.6

I did 50 sit ups that are not on the list, forgot to add them.  Probably going to walk my 3.5 tonight plus weights after the Super Bowl is done. 

 

Also, product plug.  Treign is a small business from my hometown.  The owner was a basketball coach at a local high school and had a job in sales before he went on start his dream of owning a fitness clothing company.  The design is taken from ancient gladiators and the style of wrap they would use on their hands.  The clothes are super comfortable.  www.gotreign.com
