The Arrowverse is expanding further in Superman & Lois. Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch will reprise their Supergirl roles as Clark Kent / Superman and Lois Lane in a project headed up by Todd Helbing and Greg Berlanti. The series will feature Clark and Lois in modern society balancing their careers with being parents to the yet-unnamed Arrowverse incarnation of Jonathan Samuel Kent.

An actual full-on Superman live action TV series (as opposed to a pre-Superman Clark Kent series like Smallville or a not-Superman series like Supergirl)? Simultaneous to an existent live action film version of Superman? What new spore of madness is this?!

No, we don't all know everything but we should spread and share that what we do know.
If I'm consistently misspelling a word, I would want and expect people to correct me as should I imagine all decent people who know the value of good literacy.
Its just arrogant laziness to know you're spelling a word incorrectly and not correct yourself or ignore the advice when people do tell you how to spell a word correctly.

Are the stories good? Or is it a soap opera?
Somewhere between. The stories can be really good, and they can sometimes be REALLY Soap Opera-ish. But I'd say on average they're about a balance.

Of course, they've already established Clark & Lois as a happily-married couple and the actors are great together, so hopefully this'll look more like a "season 3" relationship than a "season 1" trainwreck.

They do have a tradition of really screwing up their first/canon romance and needing to course-correct (Oliver & Laurel turned out to have no chemistry, Barry and Iris were raised like adopted siblings, Kara's love-life is just ugh, Kendra and Carter made everyone uncomfortable, etc).
I agree. Certainly in Supergirl, Clark and Lois have thus far stood out as nominally stable individuals.
But, only time will tell with The CW.

I'm sorry, did this thing swallow a big pill of Zack Snyder or something? Compared to Flash, Supergirl, and Legends, this looks so depressing!

Teen angst isn't something I really needed from a Superman show right now. Didn't we have enough of that with Smallville?

And even then, Smallville looked much brighter and felt more optimistic in tone.
Smallville Clark had some angst at times, yes, but he was also the hopeful, good-hearted boy scout that Superman is supposed to be. He felt like the guy who'd grow up to become Superman.
This, however, feels like Snyder's dreary Superman given his own show, which is shocking considering how much fun Tyler Hoechlin's Superman has been up to this point.
