Ha! Talk about getting away with something!

@  Maximus Ambus : (01 June 2020 - 09:08 AM)

Carnivac was still an evil Decepticon at heart, and no one shot him in the back for it.

@  -LittleAutob... : (30 May 2020 - 10:38 AM)

:p

@  Maximus Ambus : (30 May 2020 - 02:14 AM)

Shockwave did it.

@  NotVeryKnightly : (30 May 2020 - 12:21 AM)

I'm not in the US and at least some of the episodes seem to work for me. I don't know the actual list of places it's available, though.

@  Shockwave 75 : (29 May 2020 - 10:37 PM)

Unfortunately It seems Cyberverse is only available in the US on YouTube.

@  -LittleAutob... : (29 May 2020 - 09:19 AM)

Yes, and its ongoing.

@  NotVeryKnightly : (29 May 2020 - 01:05 AM)

Cyberverse is already officially uploaded to YouTube.

@  fourteenwings : (29 May 2020 - 12:36 AM)

Spin Master is abridging current episodes of Bakugan Armored Alliance and posting the result on YouTube. Maybe Hasbro does that someday too.

@  -LittleAutob... : (28 May 2020 - 10:59 PM)

I see... :/

@  wonko the sane? : (28 May 2020 - 08:14 PM)

Within the US anyway. Those channels aren't easy or cheap to access in other countries, and their website often region lock content. Tubi is the only good thing on that list: largely identical (but not perfectly so. Damnit. I wanna watch COPS.) country to country and free.

@  Steevy Maximus : (28 May 2020 - 07:24 PM)

So yeah, Hasbro is using plenty of venues to spread exposure of their brands

@  Steevy Maximus : (28 May 2020 - 07:23 PM)

Starz currently licenses Transformers G1 and the GI Joe movie (as well as MLP specials). Netflix has more current series available.

@  Nevermore : (28 May 2020 - 07:21 PM)

Study shows: Holders of the title "world's oldest person" have a severely increased risk of dying.

@  Steevy Maximus : (28 May 2020 - 07:18 PM)

Tubi TV and Youtube both host various Hasbro cartoons. Both are freely accessed and ad supported. Any basic TV package (barring straight antenna) includes channels like USA Network, SyFy and FX, all of which regularly air the films from Transformers and GI Joe.

@  wonko the sane? : (28 May 2020 - 06:18 PM)

I dunno what to tell you, media might be changing slowly, but at least it's still accessible. Even the folks that DON'T get one of the streaming services can watch it on the company website. It's a vehicle for the toy line after all, they need to make an effort to make it as consumable as possible.

@  -LittleAutob... : (28 May 2020 - 05:41 PM)

Well. Thats said, then.... I guess... :doh

@  wonko the sane? : (28 May 2020 - 04:13 PM)

As long as the the cartoons are profitable, then they'll make more. The media it's shown on is completely irrelevant. I say that as a guy whose earliest surviving memory is a big red truck turning into a big red robot.

@  ZakuConvoy : (28 May 2020 - 03:06 PM)

Might be the end of an era. With the rise of streaming, who knows if Transformers will ever be on broadcast TV again.

@  -LittleAutob... : (28 May 2020 - 11:46 AM)

3 seasons on a show is usually enough... but yeah ;-;

@  Roddie Luver : (27 May 2020 - 09:37 PM)

I’m also sad Cyberverse has no season four.

@  Paladin : (26 May 2020 - 08:10 PM)

it's too hugging hot today.

@  Steevy Maximus : (25 May 2020 - 01:37 PM)

I'm actually sad Cyberverse won't get another season. 2 and 3 (of what I've seen) have REALLY nailed it in being fun little actions shows, like the Sunbow series.

@  Rycochet : (25 May 2020 - 01:00 PM)

Yes.

@  Maximus Ambus : (25 May 2020 - 12:52 PM)

I'm waiting for Animated season 4. Am I insane?

I'm waiting for the next season to show up on netflix.

@  Sabrblade : (25 May 2020 - 10:59 AM)

We've seen this Arcee design done better and we've seen this design team do better and we know there's an MP version of the same design on the way... It's just something that doesn't need to exist.

The only upside is that it's not a Chromia retool.

I disagree. The Sculpt on this one, from these pictures, looks WAY BETTER than any other version of Arcee we've had before and an order of magnitude better than how the Masterpiece looks.

The robot and car seem pretty much perfect. It's only how they made the change happen that is the issue.

I feel weird defending this toy because the "hover trunk" is TERRIBLE, and should transform into anything, but she looks so much better and on model then any Arcee before that I absolutely have to. This toy has more in its corner than the Masterpiece does imo.

ZacWilliam, If anything should be tossed in the dump it's that one.

are you seriously trying argue that this $20 mass retail toy shouldn't exist because they're also coming out with a ¥16,000 ($143) high-end collector aimed toy of the same design?

I'm arguing that it's a technically worse version of a design that has already been done, the MP is just a cherry on the mediocrity heap. If they really needed to do the Sunbow design yet again, they should have built on and improved what existed, maybe reduce the creepy doll aesthetic, not taking a big step back in terms of engineering by having half the car just pop off and do nothing worthwhile.

Earthrise sculpting with Generations Thrilling 30 engineering would have been the sweet spot, but I can't help but wonder if even a toy as recent as that is too expensive for current part counts...

I'll admit the Arcee isn't my thing, but just as I think a lot of Earthrise is great for new collectors or introducing younger ones, some of the molds could easily be 'stand alone' fun.  I may grab that Arcee to give to a girl I know who likes anime and pink but isn't hugely into Transformers (she's more of a Voltron fan). I could see her putting this new one with the lions as an Allura homage, intended or not.

There is something pleasingly horrible about the front of Scorponok's scorpion mode head being a pinkish purple mass of seams and robotic looking nonsense detailing. It gives it a kind of nightmarish quality.

Biggest nitpick for me with Scorponok's look is his head seems long.  Gives him that "fivehead" sort of look and makes me think more "Boss Pig" from Angry Birds Transformers before I think Scorponok.

I think the concept of being educated and being able to educate is something that more people need more of in their lives.

No, we don't all know everything but we should spread and share that what we do know.

If I'm consistently misspelling a word, I would want and expect people to correct me as should I imagine all decent people who know the value of good literacy.

Its just arrogant laziness to know you're spelling a word incorrectly and not correct yourself or ignore the advice when people do tell you how to spell a word correctly.

It's definitely a remold, which makes this more than a bit of a letdown. I'll stick with my Siege Megs

That Smokescreen looks great which makes my purchase of all three Siege Datsun Autobots ridiculously frustrating

Megs looks to have enough panels to make the H-tank into a weird looking earth tank. After ER Prime, was anything really expecting anything but the same treatment for ER Megatron? Same g1 botmode, slightly different vehicle.

I mostly agree, though wasn't ridiculously frustrated in buying the 3 Siege Datsuns. Did you have obstacles with the purchases or just the possible repetition bothering you?

Smokescreen's my favorite of the 3, so I'll probably go for him, but unlikely on Megatron, and *if* the other Datsuns are repeated as well... will depend on how much I like Smokescreen and how the others are sold.

Yeah, that's a pass on Megs. The sword is way uglier and the rest of him is just a repaint.

Smokescreen's okay. Should be easier to get than the Siege one.

Between the repacks of Smashdown and Astrotrain and now this Megatron, it feels like there's a bunch of cut costs in Earthrise.

It's entirely possible that it is... but it's worth noting that the price of a deluxe is higher now than it was in the days of Thrilling 30, so there's likely some give and take in that equation.

Does Hasbro not realize how redundant their product is getting? I mean I complain about Arcee but at least she was a few years ago. This Megatron and Smokescreen are just one year apart. I mean how many people would know how different these figures are in the below photo?

Looking over the rest of the leaked pics:

Megatron = Boring

Smokescreen - Looks good bit it's like a 9.5 to the Siege toys 9 and I'm gonna wobble on if that's enough to make me buy all three again so soon.

Airwave - Looks Awesome. Along with Ironworks he was the other MM Base I had as a kid so I'm absolutely sold.

Two-Headed Crossroads Battlemaster - Yay. I want a bunch of him. Also I want these toys to have bios so he and Soundberrier can be actual characters damn it.

Micromasters - Love Phaser and Blast Master. Love that Phaser has Phasers in his hands. The con pair is ok, but I think my brother owned that pair so they don't get much of a nostalgia boost.

-ZacWilliam, I wonder if that's everything from toy fair then. Will they be saving the Quint stuff and Snapdragon for another time...

Loads more stuff. https://www.tfw2005....eveals.1189102/

Edit: Well, at least a link to the photos discussed above.

Personally -

I really had no interest in most of the naff Cybertronian alt modes, so a more Earth Megatron is really interesting to me, and I like the way the tank mode looks. But again, it seems like the centre of the tank mode and front of the turret is a load of partsformer-y crap, and that's very unfortunate indeed. There's really not much reason that couldn't have been integrated better. Sigh. Dunno on this one.

Smokescreen looks pretty nice, and the Classics mold has aged very badly, so it seems pretty interesting. It actually has clear back windows too... shame it has to have those horrible mushroom wheels they're so fond of now but I'll probably pick him up.

Airwave looks ace, glad we're getting more of these. The actual airport mode is a bit lacking but maybe you can fiddle with that. Hopefully we'll get all four. I still think Overair should have been marked as a 'Con.

The Micromasters look fine, even if I would prefer them to go back and fill out the original teams at this point.

Doublecrosser... eh, well he's cheap I guess. The ramp bots are pretty uncompelling to have more than one of them tbh.
