I'm tired of Starscream being portrayed as traitorous for the sake of being traitorous

So I had him fiercely loyal to Deathsaurus but yet still in a level of command of a conquering force. He wanted to acquire more land and resources but he greatly respected his place under others' command. (He tested - and was meant to fail at - his advancement by trying to become a mentor to Lyzack but never challenged Deathsaurus himself since Starscream thought him the true Decepticon emperor and the most brilliant mind in Cybertron.)
But then when Megatron forced Deathsaurus' banishment and absorbed the warlord's soldiers into his own troops, the idea that some political wannabe gladiator defeated his great leader made something in Starscream snap. Part due to a need for revenge and part because he now realized how power actually worked among the Decepticons.
From that day on, he swore he'd amass as much power as he could, especially if it took away from Megatron.

I honestly don't want Starscream to take center stage in anything anymore.
Give it to someone else honestly. Like Blitzwing or Octane or whomever. Just not Starscream.
What if we updated his design a little? You know spice up his colors a bit, some black, maybe purple?
I feel like I'm really onto something here...

No, we don't all know everything but we should spread and share that what we do know.
If I'm consistently misspelling a word, I would want and expect people to correct me as should I imagine all decent people who know the value of good literacy.
Its just arrogant laziness to know you're spelling a word incorrectly and not correct yourself or ignore the advice when people do tell you how to spell a word correctly.

With the power of Dark Energon, he can do anything, even warp the sky!

Sometimes shallow motivations are okay. Just look at the Kurgan from Highlander, he's evil for evil's sake and he doesn't need any deeper motivation than that. He is evil because he loves every single minute of it.
I love shallow characters, especially when they're contrasted with deeper ones. I love IDW Skywarp because while every other major Decepticon was getting depth and development and even redemption, Skywarp stayed as a dumb, violent bully, even when coerced into working for the "good guys".

A Starscream who isn't a traitor is literally anybody else. It's his starting point, not always his end point, thankfully.
I remember back in 1932 watching the first episode of Beasties and assumed Dinobot would be the show's Starscream.
And now I want to see a version of Beast Wars done up in Early Disney/Fleshner/Cuphead style...

The special effects were so much better back then, what with all the puppets and string and such.

I'm actually a real sucker for the modern trend of Starscream claiming some kind of god-like power and transforming into an unstoppable mutant. You could say this goes back to him and the Underbase in Marvel but stuff like him fusing with a space station, an Angel and the hilariously goofy backstory that MP Ghost Starscream is the fusion of ghost Starscreams across the multiverse...I dig it.
And yes, that means I even found Combiner Wars finale kinda cool on that note. Big ego Starscream is fine but I adore when a character with unchecked ambition pays the price for it in a dramatic way.

I assume it wasn't a typo so much as an exaggeration for comic effect of how long ago Beast Wars premiered. That's fantastic. And made more hilarious by the fact that I have no idea how the typo it's based on could've happened. Like... your finger was already on the 9... I mean...

Yes I know it's broken. It's an HTTPS thing and I haven't gotten around to dealing with it yet.

"Optimus Prime has fallen! I, Starscream, am your leader now!"I kind of just want a character who's conniving and scheming on the side of 'good'.
"Nope."
"Definitely not."
"Not a chance."
"That's not how this works, Starscream."
God, now I'm all for Autobot Starscream just for gags like that.

Well, then, that's definitely Prowl. Not sure "conniving and scheming" should really be romanticized by presenting it as charming, unless it's a character who somehow regularly bamboozles everyone to surprise them for their birthday.I kind of just want a character who's conniving and scheming on the side of 'good'.Isn't Autobot Starscream Thundercracker?
There is nothing wrong with Starscream being treacherous if his reasoning is fleshed wanting to be and he has plans rather than being Megatron with high heels and wings, oh and a crown, because movie.
Like Garak from DS9. Closest thing was Ptowl but he wasn't as charming.
Constantine?
