@  Maximus Ambus : (04 June 2020 - 11:51 PM)

They dubbed reaction shots and running scenes in the first two UT shows with "huh?" and grunts. very annoying.

@  Sabrblade : (04 June 2020 - 06:10 PM)

Watch it in Japanese with English subs. Karyuudo did all that work for us so that we could. ;)

@  wonko the sane? : (04 June 2020 - 06:08 PM)

I tried... but it just wasn't that good. The comics were better.

@  PlutoniumBoss : (04 June 2020 - 04:07 PM)

I didn't even watch Armada when it originally aired.

@  Maximus Ambus : (30 May 2020 - 02:14 AM)

Shockwave did it.

@  NotVeryKnightly : (30 May 2020 - 12:21 AM)

I'm not in the US and at least some of the episodes seem to work for me. I don't know the actual list of places it's available, though.

@  Shockwave 75 : (29 May 2020 - 10:37 PM)

Unfortunately It seems Cyberverse is only available in the US on YouTube.

@  -LittleAutob... : (29 May 2020 - 09:19 AM)

Yes, and its ongoing.

@  NotVeryKnightly : (29 May 2020 - 01:05 AM)

Cyberverse is already officially uploaded to YouTube.

@  fourteenwings : (29 May 2020 - 12:36 AM)

Spin Master is abridging current episodes of Bakugan Armored Alliance and posting the result on YouTube. Maybe Hasbro does that someday too.

@  -LittleAutob... : (28 May 2020 - 10:59 PM)

I see... :/

@  wonko the sane? : (28 May 2020 - 08:14 PM)

Within the US anyway. Those channels aren't easy or cheap to access in other countries, and their website often region lock content. Tubi is the only good thing on that list: largely identical (but not perfectly so. Damnit. I wanna watch COPS.) country to country and free.

@  Steevy Maximus : (28 May 2020 - 07:24 PM)

So yeah, Hasbro is using plenty of venues to spread exposure of their brands

@  Steevy Maximus : (28 May 2020 - 07:23 PM)

Starz currently licenses Transformers G1 and the GI Joe movie (as well as MLP specials). Netflix has more current series available.

@  Nevermore : (28 May 2020 - 07:21 PM)

Study shows: Holders of the title "world's oldest person" have a severely increased risk of dying.

@  Steevy Maximus : (28 May 2020 - 07:18 PM)

Tubi TV and Youtube both host various Hasbro cartoons. Both are freely accessed and ad supported. Any basic TV package (barring straight antenna) includes channels like USA Network, SyFy and FX, all of which regularly air the films from Transformers and GI Joe.

@  wonko the sane? : (28 May 2020 - 06:18 PM)

I dunno what to tell you, media might be changing slowly, but at least it's still accessible. Even the folks that DON'T get one of the streaming services can watch it on the company website. It's a vehicle for the toy line after all, they need to make an effort to make it as consumable as possible.

@  -LittleAutob... : (28 May 2020 - 05:41 PM)

Well. Thats said, then.... I guess... :doh

@  wonko the sane? : (28 May 2020 - 04:13 PM)

As long as the the cartoons are profitable, then they'll make more. The media it's shown on is completely irrelevant. I say that as a guy whose earliest surviving memory is a big red truck turning into a big red robot.

@  ZakuConvoy : (28 May 2020 - 03:06 PM)

Might be the end of an era. With the rise of streaming, who knows if Transformers will ever be on broadcast TV again.

@  -LittleAutob... : (28 May 2020 - 11:46 AM)

3 seasons on a show is usually enough... but yeah ;-;

@  Roddie Luver : (27 May 2020 - 09:37 PM)

I’m also sad Cyberverse has no season four.

@  Paladin : (26 May 2020 - 08:10 PM)

it's too hugging hot today.

@  -LittleAutob... : (25 May 2020 - 03:39 PM)

I'll agree with you on that.

@  -LittleAutob... : (25 May 2020 - 03:39 PM)

*Figured -_-

@  -LittleAutob... : (25 May 2020 - 03:39 PM)

I fugured

@  Steevy Maximus : (25 May 2020 - 01:37 PM)

I'm actually sad Cyberverse won't get another season. 2 and 3 (of what I've seen) have REALLY nailed it in being fun little actions shows, like the Sunbow series.

@  Rycochet : (25 May 2020 - 01:00 PM)

@  Maximus Ambus : (25 May 2020 - 12:52 PM)

I'm waiting for Animated season 4. Am I insane?

@  wonko the sane? : (25 May 2020 - 11:22 AM)

I'm waiting for the next season to show up on netflix.

@  Sabrblade : (25 May 2020 - 10:59 AM)

Many of us have already watched the rest of the Cyberverse episodes since the whole third season aired in the UK last September.

@  -LittleAutob... : (25 May 2020 - 10:18 AM)

@  -LittleAutob... : (25 May 2020 - 10:17 AM)

I just saw the 8th episode... omg

@  Bass X0 : (25 May 2020 - 01:28 AM)

Hi guys! So I’m planning on starting up a YouTube Channel for reviews under the name “IntheNameofPrimus”. The plan for the channel is to review Transformers from the last few years. But my twist is to go into the history of the character, where they’ve shown up in the Transformers Multiverse, and explaining how those appearances have been blended into the figure being reviewed. But I’d like to get some help from you guys since this is my first time attempting serious reviews. So what do you guys like to see in toy reviews for Transformers, and what advice can you give in general for starting a channel. Any help would be appreciated!

I'm not sure if people want much (any?) character history in their toy reviews since there are other sources for that.

Rare, mythical views of a character from any angle other than the front.

Bizarre and vaguely disgusting advertisements about how much you love Coca Cola even though you're not actually getting paid to advertise their products.

Transform the thing at least once before you actually get on camera.  Edit out where you mess something up.

Fall of Cybertron will blow your mind. That is all.

If a transformation has identical steps for left/right sides...I don't need to see both.

Also, while transforming, I really don't like when people describe a part of the figure as "this", or say to move something "like this". Name the part or the movement, or the words are just useless repetitive filler that aren't adding anything to the visual. Even calling a part something generic like "side car panel" is better than "this".

- The toy

- It being transformed without it randomly going out of focus or the reviewer accidentally putting it off camera

- Notes of any transformation steps to be careful about (like 'oh you have to do this step before this one otherwise you can't finish the transformation' or 'be careful when you move this piece, it has a tendency to pop off, at least on my figure')

- Notes of any other QC errors to watch out for

- The articulation of the figure

- a 360 degree turn-around of the figure

- The toy with other toys in the same line, in both modes

That's it, I don't care about your 'funny' personality, your social media sites or other things you do, or anything else, I'm just here for the damn toy. If you must have an intro, keep it short, between 5-15 seconds, don't make it overly-long and obnoxious.

Oh and for the love of god, I do not CARE about the packaging, don't show that off. Having it in the background at the start is fine (like where you go 'Hey guys today we'll be reviewing the Voyager Optimus Prime from the Transformers I Don't Care An More You Guys Will Buy Anything Transformers line') but I don't need to see every single side of the box in detail and I especially do not need to have to skip ahead while you read every single damn piece of text on the box.

In reviews, I like to see the toy its self clearly and guide to how it transforms, how well it rolls if its a rolling type, how some of the articluation works plus some comparisons to previous verisons of the character, in other words, the basics, which include pointing out any flaws or what you might consider flaws.

Editing. Scripting. Rehearsals.

Short or no intro. A simple title card can do.

Rehearse. Have a script. Edit.

Shots of the figure in various poses to show off articulation. Don't need a point-by-point of EVERY swivel, hinge, bend and turn.

Stick to a script. If you flub a line and laugh about it for any amount of time, it NEEDS to be edited OUT. That's why you practice.

The package of the toy may be beautiful trash, but it's trash we don't much, if any, time spent on.

Don't deviate from the review with random, unrelated nonsense.

Scripting. Editing.

If you become known for your reviews, but you have more un-boxing videos then reviews- somethings wrong.

Separate channel for any streams or 'Let's Plays'.

Finally, when you start out, no matter how much to try to, you're going to suck. People are going to tell you suck. You can get better, but you won't if you don't keep at it.

"Some people collect other characters like Jazz or Hot Shot and its encouraged, but I stockpile Cybertron Crosswises and that makes ME the strange one."

Here's a facetious how-to guide for what not to do in a review:

"When there's gold feathers, punch behind you!!"
QUOTE(Bass X0 @ Aug 17 2013, 08:20 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
I think the concept of being educated and being able to educate is something that more people need more of in their lives.

No, we don't all know everything but we should spread and share that what we do know.

If I'm consistently misspelling a word, I would want and expect people to correct me as should I imagine all decent people who know the value of good literacy.

Its just arrogant laziness to know you're spelling a word incorrectly and not correct yourself or ignore the advice when people do tell you how to spell a word correctly.

Dont talk with your hands. If you HAVE to have your hands constantly in motion, fiddle with the toy instead of just waving your hands about in front of the camera

Use an appropriate color background (i.e. dont use a white background with a white toy). Use one thatll make the toy instantly pop out on the screen

honestly just make sure you have a good camera setup  and edit well enough and its not like 2009 potato style and just find your own voice,

just don;t get mad at the toys thats a very weird thing

Does anyone see City-Swimmer? Is he gliding beneath the silver water? Is he creeping 'round a corner, hugging a wall, silent as a shadow in the dark?
