Questions for Yuichiro Hayashi?

Garo is like the only thing from his directing work that I'm familiar with. Maybe ask how free they were to emphasize or downplay the live-action lore. To give an example, (if I recall correctly) the anime lacked explicit time limits for the armors, so Leon losing control was directly from his personal issues, with no suggestion of just running out of time.

I'm not too familiar with him, but I have a very general question:
How was it jumping from bringing somebody else's vision to screen to working as a director on his own projects?
I think that's a pretty interesting question to ask. Similarly, how was it adapting Kakegurui, keeping in mind his perspective on the project whilst trying to make a faithful adaptation of a much beloved manga? (I feel like this one will be a standard 'oh I just adapted as faithfully as possible' followed by specifics but hey, a guy can hope).

How familiar with the source material of Garo was he before he took on the animated project? If he wasn't familiar with it previously, did he do any research after coming on to it?
