@  Nevermore : (26 February 2020 - 06:32 PM)

So the question is... has Madagascar closed down all its ports yet?

@  Nevermore : (26 February 2020 - 06:31 PM)

A couple that got infected attended a Carnival event with over 300 people in attendance.

@  Nevermore : (26 February 2020 - 06:25 PM)

So the Corona virus keeps getting closer to where I live. Several confirmed cases in my federal state already.

@  Steevy Maximus : (26 February 2020 - 02:20 PM)

Man, only having collector sites to get Toy Fair news from sucks. Did you know there is a 4" line of kids figures for the new Avengers game coming?

@  Dekafox : (26 February 2020 - 11:54 AM)

Since Omega already exists they could name it Auntie

@  Otaku : (26 February 2020 - 10:07 AM)

Oh, and one last Titan, provided we can fudge things a bit to include a character from Transformers: Animated; how about something at least resembling TF:A Omega Supreme?

@  Otaku : (26 February 2020 - 10:05 AM)

How about they find a way to make a mold they can use for both Broadside and Tidal Wave?

@  Maximus Ambus : (26 February 2020 - 02:13 AM)

Optimus Maximus, the mysterious titan of the Arisen, also Iaconus from Cyberverse.

@  TriBlurr : (25 February 2020 - 12:41 AM)

I think the only other Titan class character that would interest me after Scoponok would be Tidal Wave

@  TheMightyMol... : (24 February 2020 - 07:34 PM)

A Titan would have more room for other toys to hang out, assuming one has the table space for it.

@  Darth Gonzo : (24 February 2020 - 03:32 PM)

Play wise which would be better a Commander Class Aircraft Carrier Mode Broadside or a Titan Class Aircraft Carrier Mode Broadside?

@  PlutoniumBoss : (24 February 2020 - 01:53 PM)

I'd be interested in a deluxe or voyager Fort Max in Armada flashback red-and-green.

@  TheMightyMol... : (24 February 2020 - 10:49 AM)

I'd honestly be more interested in Commander-class Scorponok and Fort Max. I don't have the space for Titans.

@  Maximus Ambus : (24 February 2020 - 10:44 AM)

Make Commander class city bots to annoy collectors too

@  TheMightyMol... : (24 February 2020 - 10:43 AM)

Make two Broadsides. One Voyager-sized that only turns into a jet, and one Titan-sized that only turns into an aircraft carrier. Piss off everyone on both sides of the scale.

@  Rodimus Supreme : (24 February 2020 - 10:41 AM)

Since they seem to also go by the oh-so holy cartoon scale thing, he'd probably be a Commander Class figure.

@  wonko the sane? : (24 February 2020 - 10:34 AM)

Broadside is an aircraft carrier. He should probably be metroplex sized.

@  Rodimus Supreme : (24 February 2020 - 10:21 AM)

Broadside's more of a Commander Class.

@  Darth Gonzo : (24 February 2020 - 04:47 AM)

I think Broadside should be the next Titan Class figure.

@  wonko the sane? : (23 February 2020 - 09:38 PM)

I tan nicely! But also have a family history of cancer... so... yeah, pasty for me it is.

@  Otaku : (23 February 2020 - 04:22 PM)

I really do begin to get sunburned after about 5 minutes of direct exposure, nowadays.  Side effect of already being pasty then going on a particular medication.  Yay?

@  TheMightyMol... : (23 February 2020 - 01:36 PM)

It makes me burn. Accursed daystar.

@  Maximus Ambus : (23 February 2020 - 01:33 PM)

Sunshine on my shoulders makes me happy....

@  Vexwing : (22 February 2020 - 03:26 AM)

I watched L.I.L.Y.Cat on there a while back, it was surprisingly good.

@  Steevy Maximus : (21 February 2020 - 08:47 PM)

@Dekafox, no DTP, but they DO have LILY Cat ;)

@  CORVUS : (21 February 2020 - 08:46 PM)

For me, it's "chocolate therapy".

@  wonko the sane? : (21 February 2020 - 08:32 PM)

Tonight dough owns my soul.

@  CORVUS : (21 February 2020 - 07:28 PM)

Stupid, delicious Ben & Jerry's.

@  Tm_Silverclaw : (21 February 2020 - 06:42 PM)

Ahh. I remember watching Bubblegum Crisis 2020 or whatever.

@  Dekafox : (21 February 2020 - 06:25 PM)

Next you'll say they have Dominion Tank Police and L.I.L.Y.Cat

@  NotVeryKnightly : (21 February 2020 - 06:06 PM)

Bubblegum Crisis, going by several shouts down.

@  Tm_Silverclaw : (21 February 2020 - 05:38 PM)

BGC?

@  Bass X0 : (21 February 2020 - 02:33 PM)

Enjoy the fudgy icing of this Hostess Cup Cake!

@  Telly : (21 February 2020 - 02:31 PM)

harlock is on tubi as well. not dubbed though :(

@  Rhinox42 : (21 February 2020 - 01:19 PM)

Blugh, the english dub of BGC is atrocious.

@  wonko the sane? : (21 February 2020 - 07:02 AM)

I might need to update my software, or they face regional limitations, cause I found no evidence of either.

@  Steevy Maximus : (20 February 2020 - 10:31 PM)

DUDE! Starcom and COPS are on Tubi too!

@  Steevy Maximus : (20 February 2020 - 09:29 PM)

Spiffy! The english dub of Bubblegum Crisis on Tubi. It's gotten so hard to find these oldies on modern streaming services.

@  Nevermore : (20 February 2020 - 08:44 PM)

And now I know and now I know and now I know that you can hear me, know that you can hear me, know that you can hear me.

@  Nevermore : (20 February 2020 - 08:31 PM)

Oh, oh, people can you hear me? People can you hear me? People can you hear me?

@  Echowarrior : (20 February 2020 - 06:39 PM)

Let me go-o-o-o!

@  Telly : (20 February 2020 - 05:41 PM)

Galileo Galileo!

@  PlutoniumBoss : (20 February 2020 - 05:36 PM)

*thunder and lightning*

@  ▲ndrusi : (20 February 2020 - 03:46 PM)

Ah, ah, ah!

@  PlutoniumBoss : (20 February 2020 - 03:33 PM)

Already did. It didn't take long.

@  Dekafox : (19 February 2020 - 06:14 PM)

Count Zero?

@  TheMightyMol... : (19 February 2020 - 03:53 PM)

Oh boy, here we go.

@  ▲ndrusi : (19 February 2020 - 02:34 PM)

Or do Japan's cultural values vary depending on exactly who you're trying to shut down?

@  ▲ndrusi : (19 February 2020 - 02:33 PM)

Could it be that, perhaps, these different cultural values might lead to a different approach seeming appropriate?

Naming that island "Brigadoon" is about ten times less stupid than "Darksyde" and about a hundred times less stupid than most of AVP.

Kind of a low bar really. I mean "Darksyde" is really, really dumb.

I can guarantee people woudn't hate the name Brigadoon if it was actually used in the show.

I can guarantee the article wouldn't be called that if the name hadn't been used offhand in a random supplementary source with zero connection to the series.

If we're done guaranteeing readily apparent things, literally no one even implied it was a bad name.

Evidently, I didn't read it that way.

In any case, my point was that, as far as I can tell, the only thing that makes people dislike the name Brigadoon was it coming from a later source, which, putting it bluntly, I think is stupid.

Why does the wiki use the dumber spelling, anyway? "Dark Side" was first used in the N64 game and was used again for IDW.

I mean, it's still dumb, but at least minimize the stupidity.

Mainframe would totally have spelt it with a "y" if they had come up with that name.

I'm curious as to what you all think happened to Earth in the time near the end and after the Great War. I personally like what BW Uprising did, making them and the Cybertronians on less than amicable terms. Although, other could always just be a case of, "Hey, let's not go around letting everyone know where Earth is, considering that could, y'know, erase the timestream and start another war."

Crack theory: Earth has become Holy Terra, capital of the Imperium of Man. For the Emperor!

If you go with the theory that the "300 years" between G1 and Beast Era is in Cybertronian years, then it's quite likely that humanity is extinct.

Or at least that's my headcanon.

I can safely say that I would indeed think Brigadoon was stupid name if it was used in the show. Brigadoon is a musical. In which it's the name of a Scottish village that magically appears for one day every 100 years, and an American tourist falls in love with one of the villagers. What does this have to do with a flying island full of death traps and the giant laser beam firing monument that getting past them gains you control of?

"Brigadoon" is a silly name for the flying island because

1) Who, in-story, decided it needed a proper noun name?

2) Who's referencing that name? Did the Vok send a map down with the name written on it? Or did Rattrap mark the ship's maps with a name for the thing that was only around for like a day?

3) How did they settle on a 1940s musical as the source of the name when they are a few million years before Broadway existed?

Robert is made to withstand plenty of play, and transforms from car to robot! Go, Robert, go!

Why will we solve after Robert grasps the abysmal winter's ulcer? He may change rural tailors, do you join them? The films, tapes, and spoons are all good and fresh.

I feel like you could probably ask the same question for about 50 or so percent of spaceships/places in Transformers.

Probably more for characters themselves.

I think the concept of being educated and being able to educate is something that more people need more of in their lives.

No, we don't all know everything but we should spread and share that what we do know.

If I'm consistently misspelling a word, I would want and expect people to correct me as should I imagine all decent people who know the value of good literacy.

Its just arrogant laziness to know you're spelling a word incorrectly and not correct yourself or ignore the advice when people do tell you how to spell a word correctly.

Yeah, I know where the spelling comes from. My question is why the wiki uses that awful spelling when "Dark Side" is an older spelling.

If Rattrap named himself after a rat trap, I don't see why he couldn't name an island after Brigadoon. Obviously he hasn't bought into this "all the Earth records are sealed" business.

(And yeah, Brigadoon is a stupid name for that island, but Rattrap is a stupid name for a rat. Maybe Rattrap just shouldn't be allowed to name things anymore.)

The "y" might have helped with toy trademarks. That's the only reason why it was added to the character names in the first place.

I forget though, didn't the "Predacon Ship" that came with 10th Megatron get a sticker applied to the box that covered over "Darksyde"? That came out the same year as BotCon DoFP, so might be a Hasbro thing... again... for toys.

I'm generally not a fan of ex post facto naming of things, and less so if I think that it's a dumb or inappropriate name. Or if it's conflating the thing with something else that it wasn't intended to be associated with in the first place. So I dislike Brigadoon for the reasons Kil mentioned, Darksyde because it's very very dumb, and stuff like Playback for the Paradron guy or Archforce for Straxus!Megatron because I think they should be separate characters.

"Ark" is a common noun that means "box" (e.g. Ark of the Covenant), so you can just pretend that the in-universe name is a Cybertronian common noun that also means "box".

I mean, it's not like the in-universe explanation for Hound and Bumblebee's names is that they're named after the actual Earth animals.
