I think I've watched exactly one episode of each of these shows, but man. For Tom Welling, I will be there.
Who?
Surely you jest.
He's the Clark Kent of Smallville.
.
No, we don't all know everything but we should spread and share that what we do know.
If I'm consistently misspelling a word, I would want and expect people to correct me as should I imagine all decent people who know the value of good literacy.
Its just arrogant laziness to know you're spelling a word incorrectly and not correct yourself or ignore the advice when people do tell you how to spell a word correctly.

Absurdly overrated show, IMHO. I gave up too early, perhaps, because I got fed up with the use of Kryptonite as a bestower-of-superpowers (something it's never done elsewhere).

He's the Superman that never got to be Superman, because the showrunners had a 'No Capes!' policy.
"No tights, no flights", actually.
Plus, I think it's been said that Welling himself didn't want to wear the Superman suit out of fear of becoming typecast like previous Superman actors have been. Notice how all shots of Clark as Superman in the final episode were either all extreme close ups of just Welling's face or faraway shots of a fully CGI Superman that clearly wasn't Welling. The only shot in the entire episode of Welling wearing any of the suit was just the final shot of him doing the iconic "pull-button-shirt-open-to-reveal-S-shield-underneath" pose, in which he was only wearing the suit's shirt piece instead of the whole thing.

It did lead to a lot of tedious freak-of-the-week nonsense. But Welling, Rosenbaum, Durance, Hartley, O'Toole and Schneider. John Glover! A great cast and the definitive live action DC universe for me. I mean - it's basically just, like, Dawson's Creek with superpowers, but... that works for me.

I totally saw the "Dawson's Creek with superpowers" angle, but that was really NOT a plus for me....

There were alot of things i liked in smallville, certain plots or special episodes (the one with the JSA , as cheesey as it is, just makes me smile), Rosenbaum as Lex, the Sex Cult Chicks sorta Nancy Drew gimmick...even the fun "Justice League" stuff...but for whatever reason I just never cared if I saw the show, or missed an episode...
BUT, knowing that theres now officially 3 Supermans in COIE? im dead seriously all giggly and squee-ey, like a pre-teen girl reading Tiger Beat, or something or whatever, hehe =]
Now Lynda Carter, like Brandon Routh, will hopefully be pulling double duty...I just hope this whole 5 part ball of awesome is just that, awesome =]

I see behind a thousand lies that you try to hide
I bleed inside: you left your knife but I'm still alive
I...love the way you kill me
I love the way you watch me die
Life or death a bullet to the chest
I'd do it again...
Just when I think I've cut you out
You come with open arms to drag me down

Cress Williams has seemingly confirmed via Instagram that Black Lightning will appear in "Crisis on Infinite Earths".

On a related note, we previously got a hint of Black Lightning's universe being affiliated with the Arrowverse back in the Flash episode where Nora was being trained by Thawne in the future. At one point, she crashed into a tailor shop delivery truck labeled "Gambi & Son".

Actually, that's more of a general DC comics reference. There's a family in DC comics that makes the costumes for a bunch of super-folk (heroes and villains)
The one from the Flash is probably referencing Paul Gambi:
https://en.wikipedia...wiki/Paul_Gambi
And the one from Black Lightning is Peter Gambi, his brother:
https://en.wikipedia...iki/Peter_Gambi
...But you're still right, it WAS a hint the shows were connected (even though interviews and the like emphasized that they weren't)

Heh. I wonder if "older Batman" means basically a Batman Beyond-ish Bruce Wayne?

I think you are out of date, Sabrblade. CW staff already stated a while back, to no fan's surprise, that Black Lightning takes place separately from Earth-1 and Earth-38. ZakuConvoy is accurate to classify those as cross-continuity thematic Easter eggs, not a same-continuity direct connection.
Incredibly, it looks like KEVIN HUGGING CONROY will finally get a live-action turn!!!

OH WOW! There is a returning pan-franchise actor whom I was not expecting.

With both the previous seasons of Arrow and The Flash spotlighting characters from the future, and backdoor previewing Batwoman, I wonder if a future Arrowverse story will feature a next-generation team-up of Blackstar, XS, and Batman Beyond.
