@  wonko the sane? : (04 August 2020 - 11:37 AM)

It's almost like all drama is just manufactured pissing contests to keep us all entertained and distracted. :p

@  Tm_Silverclaw : (04 August 2020 - 10:16 AM)

Or they could go White Ranger vs Scorpion route and have both win. ;P

@  ▲ndrusi : (04 August 2020 - 09:35 AM)

Besides, we all know the answer is nearly always "they fight to a standstill and then team up against a common enemy."

@  ▲ndrusi : (04 August 2020 - 09:29 AM)

The best way to prove this is to give an example where the match is really lopsided in favor of one character but in popularity they're either evenly matched or the weaker one is more popular.

@  ▲ndrusi : (04 August 2020 - 09:27 AM)

The "who would win in a fight" discussions are really just people trying to make "which one's better" into something you can theoretically measure objectively, usually in a very specific way they think they've predetermined their favorite will win.

@  Otaku : (04 August 2020 - 02:01 AM)

@Nevermore So... you're saying you didn't like DC Versus Marvel/Marvel Versus DC?

@  Steevy Maximus : (03 August 2020 - 06:59 PM)

So, what happened to Hasbro's Zoids relaunch? An English dub, some stuff in southeast Asia, and now a game coming in October? That it?

@  wonko the sane? : (03 August 2020 - 10:46 AM)

Tidal wave, cause shooting water gets you nowhere.

@  Darth Gonzo : (03 August 2020 - 09:57 AM)

Who would win Tidal Wave or Broadside?

@  -LittleAutob... : (03 August 2020 - 08:17 AM)

Btw Happy birthday to those people in the box to the right \o/

@  -LittleAutob... : (03 August 2020 - 08:16 AM)

The bottom line is obvious. It makes no literal sense to fight someone on your faction. :/

@  wonko the sane? : (03 August 2020 - 06:14 AM)

That's because you're doing it wrong. You're supposed to just stack skills and ability against each other. It's not the palace of doom, it's an episode of american gladiators.

@  Nevermore : (03 August 2020 - 04:32 AM)

The only obvious winners of such a fight would be the bad guys.

@  Nevermore : (03 August 2020 - 04:29 AM)

And what does it even matter? They should work together, not stupidly fight each other for the mindless entertainment of idiot onlookers.

@  Nevermore : (03 August 2020 - 04:29 AM)

Why would two good guys fight each other? What are they fighting over?

@  Nevermore : (03 August 2020 - 04:28 AM)

I never understood these "who would win in a fight between two good guys" discussions. They make no sense to me.

@  Maximus Ambus : (02 August 2020 - 04:17 PM)

If G1 had continued we'd have had Starscream back in spirit - through Krunk, Snapdragons partner and possibly Skullcruncher unless he was mute.

@  Bass X0 : (02 August 2020 - 12:28 PM)

There are some decent impersonators in fandubs though.

@  -LittleAutob... : (02 August 2020 - 10:45 AM)

The only true Starscream voices are Steve Blum and Chris Latta, hands down.

@  Sabrblade : (02 August 2020 - 10:14 AM)

Why they didn't have Scott McNeil voicing that Starscream, when he was the one who had imitated Chris Latta when he voiced Cobra Commander in the DiC G.I. Joe cartoon, is beyond me.

@  wonko the sane? : (02 August 2020 - 09:57 AM)

Say what you will, that was an awesome scene.

Beast Wars Starsream "I am AIR COMMANDER Starscream of the DECEPTICON BATTLEFLEET!"

@  Nevermore : (02 August 2020 - 07:02 AM)

I liked TF: Prime Starscream.

@  -LittleAutob... : (01 August 2020 - 08:36 PM)

Hearing Starscream's screechy voice in Cyberverse has to be the most annoying thing ever in Transformers. Even his G1 voice wasn't as bad. :doh

I think the concept of being educated and being able to educate is something that more people need more of in their lives.

No, we don't all know everything but we should spread and share that what we do know.

If I'm consistently misspelling a word, I would want and expect people to correct me as should I imagine all decent people who know the value of good literacy.

Its just arrogant laziness to know you're spelling a word incorrectly and not correct yourself or ignore the advice when people do tell you how to spell a word correctly.

The Thirteen.

All Primes being incompetent/weak/evil except Optimus.

Both siderism. I really hate the Autobots being painted as being as bad as the Decepticons, especially in continuities where the Decepticons have been shown to be outright genocidal. Looking at you, IDW.

Core casts. I'm tired of the same handful of guys leading across all series. I know why they do it, I just don't like it, give us new leads.

Scout/Legend/Whatever small class guys being the core cast and variants in the main lines. I understand why they do it, but still feel we're missing out. If G1 were done today, the minibots would be repainted to look like Prime, Jazz and so on rather than being standalone characters.

People say they're tired of the war, but for me it's the exact opposite.  How often have we actually seen a real war?  It's always some tiny faction against another.  Isn't this supposed to be a seemingly endless conflict between sides that span multiple planets across an entire galaxy?  They always show some kind of aftermath of the war (dead Cybertron, search for energon, etc) but never the war itself.  I don't care how they tell it--focusing on Prime and his generals, a single front, or from the trenches.

Primus & Unicron and the Thirteen as divinities.

Off that entire spectrum, I only like Unicron, and he's honestly more interesting to me without any mystical background.  This giant threat that comes from the unknown depths of space, has no known motive, will devour your entire civilization, and for some reason looks like you but with satanic viking flare is actually scary as opposed to "is a god that's angry at his god brother that you live on."

Fall of Cybertron will blow your mind. That is all.

I guess it boils down to "I hate it when Transformers are the center of the universe and somehow the specialist special thing throughout all of space and time."  It makes the universe they live in seem tiny because everything invariably happens because Transformers, and most modern stuff is super guilty of that.  I hated any time Star Trek speculated that humans were somehow special in the universe, too.

At least the G1 stuff had Cybertronians running into other robotic races that weren't in some way just more Cybertronians, and Beast Wars had them stumbling into an entirely different race's experiment.

It's sort of like the Simpsons paradigm, where when the show started, the Simpsons were involved in happenings in Springfield, then it shifted to Springfield revolving around the Simpsons.

Same here. I like the idea of other robotic/matallic life forms, like the Lithonians in the Transformers Universe. Too bad they all died in the movie. :/

Transforming is getting on my nerves, to be honest.

Well they're called transformers, so they're going to transformer whatever you like it or not. :p

People claiming that Takara does everything better and Hasbro is somehow holding them back/purposefully impeding them from doing so.

People claiming that James Roberts writes everything better and John Barber is somehow holding him back/purposefully sabotaging him.

People claiming that G1 did everything better and that Munkies/Bayformers/Animated/Bayformers Prime/Prime Animated/Baby Rescue Kiddie Rubbish is somehow keeping G1 away from us/purposefully obscuring it.

People who haven't been interested in Transformers for twenty/thirty years, then watch Combiner Wars and declare it the best thing since the '86 movie.

Yeah... I think my answer is "some of the fans" too.

I got tried of BB not having his voice really quickly, about the only time radio speak was good, was in ROTF where he plays "I'm so exicited!" after that, it was meaningless because a good chunk of what he trying to say, its pretty much lost on me!

I would like to see a TF show where Optimus has to face the fall out of a bad choice he makes, one that costs lots of lives, while I would like to see Megatron going beyond the basic "I'm the bad guy, deal with it because I'm pure evil!"

I'm getting a little tried of Hasbro focusing their generations line primary on G1 and the original TF show, expand, make use of the characters from japan three sequel series to G1, kids might buy them because they look cool, the other day my nephew said to me, he wanted me to get a figure he could play with, based on Star Saber (character, not the sword) but then he also asked me to get a verison of BW TM2 Megatron, the reason for Star Saber is because he was looking at my MP figure which is beyond his reach, while Megatron was because he saw a picture of him over in the TF pictures thread!

I'm also getting tried of TF shows having crummy animation or cheep rubbish, I didn't like the look of the so called sequel to Prime, I rather they used the CGI that Prime was using, the Prime Wars, I kind of liked the animation, with a bit of work, that could of been even better, espaically the story. Cyberverse, I watched the first ep but it just felt like it was wanting something, as if something was missing or it was really meant to be a comic than a TV show! Maybe Hasbro should be a bit more bold and say have a offical stop motion series, I seen a lot of great stop motion videos and they would be a good way for Hasbro to promote their figures!

I'm kind of tried of OP & Megatron being the central figures, maybe a TF show that shows the story of the war from the basic frontline soldiers view, OP & Megs can be these big name generals who are seen from afar but don't know the name of some of the lowest soldiers!

Aside from AOE (which was pretty much forgotten by TLK), hasn't this been something that recent main fiction has mostly been steering away from?
