@  Tm_Silverclaw : (21 February 2019 - 09:41 PM)

People forget the whole phrase. It's "Great minds thing alike, but fools rarely differ."

@  Nevermore : (21 February 2019 - 08:49 PM)

The German version is very straightforward: "Two idiots, one idea."

@  Nevermore : (21 February 2019 - 08:49 PM)

English: "Great minds think alike".

@  Nevermore : (21 February 2019 - 08:49 PM)

Here's an example of a phrase that's charmingly positive in English but self-deprecating in German:

@  wonko the sane? : (21 February 2019 - 12:36 PM)

Turns out the basic figures in the transformers siege line are basically minicons, and my sister is back in the hospital for another psychotic break. It's been an emotional day, and it's not even 1 pm yet.

@  Ashley : (19 February 2019 - 08:19 PM)

I've got the two plushes from the first movie, they're great

@  Shrug : (19 February 2019 - 08:00 PM)

@  Steevy Maximus : (19 February 2019 - 01:25 PM)

Pfft, Hasbro did that 12 years ago with Slumblebee and Optiplush Prime

@  Xellos : (19 February 2019 - 12:37 PM)

Well, this past Christmas I did see licensed plush Transformers that went from their robot to vehicle mode by turning inside out just like popples.

@  wonko the sane? : (19 February 2019 - 12:02 PM)

Why DIDN'T transformers make plushes ala popples?

@  ▲ndrusi : (19 February 2019 - 11:04 AM)

Design in mixed media and make him out of actual flannel.

@  Lancer : (18 February 2019 - 09:24 PM)

Make his fur a red and black flannel pattern

@  wonko the sane? : (18 February 2019 - 09:10 PM)

Bonus points if you can work in a red and black flannel pattern on his chest plate.

@  wonko the sane? : (18 February 2019 - 09:09 PM)

Might as well make it cliched. Lumberjack moose male and aristocratic deer female.

@  TriBlurr : (18 February 2019 - 08:16 PM)

Or their aristocratic deer.

@  TriBlurr : (18 February 2019 - 08:10 PM)

Thinking of making a pair of moose Transformer OCs, male and female. Thier a lovey dovy pair of lumberjacks

@  Paladin : (18 February 2019 - 06:56 PM)

they also have NOTORIOUSLY poor protection on their servers. do NOT keep a credit card on file there.

@  Telly : (18 February 2019 - 04:48 PM)

i just checked my past tfsource orders, and theres no sales tax charge

@  Arazyr : (18 February 2019 - 11:16 AM)

They haven't (yet, at least) on the stuff I currently have in my Stack. Haven't had them ship anything for a while, though, so I don't know if they will when I do...

@  Benbot : (18 February 2019 - 11:04 AM)

Does TFSource charge sales tax?

@  wonko the sane? : (18 February 2019 - 09:47 AM)

That's because, once upon a time, the people whom owned the animals weren't the people whom butchered them. So the pig was owned by a saxon who spoke english, but butchered by a french speaker. So a pig got cut up into PORC chops.

@  unluckiness : (18 February 2019 - 03:25 AM)

Hank Pym<<<< Hank Hill

@  PlutoniumBoss : (18 February 2019 - 01:28 AM)

In that case, I don't see anything wrong with English speakers calling it what it is in English. Even though we technically use the French words for what comes out of it. "Beef", "pork"...

@  Bass X0 : (17 February 2019 - 02:04 PM)

I’d like a Siege Thundercracker who has his regular blue colors Cybertronian jet mode which transforms into a robot mode with his Action Master colors. Looks like it could be possible.

The comic was pretty chilling but too much was happening in flashback. Before it... suddenly stopped?

I mean, I don't even know what happened to the zombie apocalypse comic. The guy who wrote that was part of the Riverdale and all the Cherry Blossom weirdness probably started there.

"Afterlife with Archie" and "Chilling Adventures" comics basically went on hiatus because the writer is like the head writer for Riverdale and this one.

After seeing The Blackcoat's Daughter, I'm very much looking forward to this.

Is it bad that several times I've read the title as "The Chilling Adventures of Sobana?"

I may watch it if I have nothing better. But after two cartoon series and a live action series that's happy go lucky, a horror version may be a bit of a culture shock.

I never went out of my way to watch the animated and original live action series, but my mom always watched all of that, so sometimes I'd catch an episode with her from time to time.  Don't think my mom would have any interest in a horror version, though.

I picked up the free comic book day Chilling Adventures of Sabrina instead of the White Knight Batman for Batman day. It's got the twisted origins of Sabrina's dad.

If the writer is the same, how can they possibly do this in the series? Freaky.

Also, there's a werewolf Jughead comic titled The Hunger that's written by Mark Texeria, who I know mostly as an painter artist that's 6 issues plus. And a Vampironica? Where did all these freaky spin offs come from?

Well, I watched the first two episodes. As weird as it may seem, I must say... I can take monsters on the loose, killer robots from the future, vampires, zombies, werewolves etc etc etc. But something about a teenage girl deciding whether to be a mortal or willingly selling her soul over to the devil just kinda....nuh uh! I doubt I'll be watching this. The original Sabrina show comes on later on the Antenna network though. I'll probably catch that.

Meantime, here's a thread bump for the rest of you.

I may be the 'wet blanket' here, but... No sorry this looks like a really bad idea. I was checking out the trailer and I just don't think this is how a Sabrina story should work.

It's just one of those things I don't think you should try making 'horror'. Now if it's more horror comedy maybe it'll work. I'll probably have to see what you guys say though. This entire thing just kinda rubs me the wrong way.

I honestly wish we could get an anime Sabrina based on the 'manga style' comics that came around a while ago.

Much too occult for my tastes. I watched the first episode with my friends when I was hanging out at their place and while it is kinda interesting I'm just not down for a show that favors the other side so much with some characters I used to love on the old show.

That and Salem not being a wisecracking snarky puppet is a dealbreaker :D
